"So they've obviously got Canada wherever you're from as well?" Steve chuckled, before becoming thoughtful. "Another world with the same countries as this one? Well, I've seen weirder things."
Joel nodded. [color=003399]"You recognise my accent?"[/color] he asked. [color=003399]"And, yeah, as far as I can tell, my world is pretty much the same as this one, in terms of geography."[/color]
As Sophia's group turned the corner towards the beach they'd be able to see the newly arrived Steve and Joanna, Sophia wouldn't see them because they were too far away for her eyes to properly make out, and Matilda had her own problems. "Good, and there's the ship!" Sophia said once it came into view.
"We're practically neighbours." Steve said with a grin. "I haven't been up north, but I knew a couple of Canadians over in Europe. Knew a few from everywhere, probably." He turned slightly so that he could see the Mason sisters, keeping Joanna outside of his peripheral vision until he knew she was decent. "The rest of you don't sound familiar though."
"We are from the REAT, or Reformed European American Territories. According to our timeline, the Americas suffer a great economic debt and an epidemic. The European Union helped them out of that mess by having them join. That was 500 years ago for us. Specifically, we're from the territory formerly known as Kansas. We have translators in our mouths to help translate the languages of the future to you. 1000 years is plenty of time for languages to evolve after all. What we really speak is a derivative of English."
Steve's eyes widened.
"A thousand years? From the 21st century?" He ran a hand through his hair. "And I haven't even caught up with the Rolling Stones yet... sorry, you might find me to be even more behind the times than you're used to."
Drawing the towel closer around herself, Joanna got unsteadily to her feet. His attention drawn by the movement, Steve smiled to see her recovering.
"Maybe you've got even more to worry about than I do than that account? Going by all of those." He gestured at her collection of swords and knives.

"Once Sara gets that suit ready sure, I think she ran ahead to get some things for it." Sophia said as she squinted to look ahead. "I... I think they're standing outside, did something happen?"
Samus, what with much better vision than the others, managed to make out the new guys. "New arrivals, it seems."

EMily gave a slight chuckle and nodded in confirmation.
"We're used to meeting extraterrestrials. Finding and investigating strange things is our specialty. You'll be a piece of cake to understand if you stick around. We're scientists after all, despite our appearances."

"New York, born and raised." Steve confirmed. "Although my parents were Irish immigrants, during the previous big economic debt." He nodded at EMily at this.
"Really? How many, can you see?" Sophia asked, following much the same thought process as Matilda as she was concerned if there was trouble.
Steve chuckled at EMily's obvious scientific curiosity."There's not much to understand really. I'm just a soldier and a patriot. A bit out of my own time, and given some enhancing treatments that aren't widespread even today, but apart from that, just a soldier."

Sophia sighed once Samus had mentioned things seemed to be peaceful by the ship. "That's good then, let's say hello." She suggested, picking up her pace gradually as to not bowl Matilda over.
