Kenna saw where Seras' train of thought was going, and decided to stop it. "Before you think it, no we didn't. We're both straight, and succubi feed on all emotions, not just sex. Trust me, I know what you're thinking, I thought it too at first, it was really awkward." She turned and nodded to Joel.

"O-okay..." Seras said as she blushed a small bit. "So...how did you meet?" she asked next. Based on observations and the limited description Kenna gave of the succubus, she couldn't tell what the two had in common, unless they both happened to go to the same gym.

"Out of the various anomalies outside this planet, two were detected inside this solar system, if intelligence checks out." Elm stated, projecting a 3D chart of the local solar system. "The first was detected close to this planet, out of its orbit, and the size of the anomaly was substantial, if short-lived." Eml explained, a sphere indicating the area, it being where Ser Bug's meteor-egg came into the universe. "We can't be sure if the object that came through actually made it on to this planet, however. By the time we deployed a Watcher, it was already gone." After a pause, the projection zoomed out, then zoomed in on Uranus, a sphere highlighting the entry point of another object. "The second point is in orbit around this planet, and is still there. It was detected two days ago, and has been confirmed to be a spacecraft. Radio signals are being sent out from the craft continuously, with one minute intervals, but the language is unknown to us. We've tried to establish contact with it, but haven't gotten a response."

"Spooky." Sam chimed in, in a deadpan tone, leaning to the side to look at the projection.

"What my associate no doubt meant was; It's certain the craft is in a state of emergency, although considering the language barrier, we cannot be sure how grave the situation is. Our plans were to stay on stand-by for another thirteen hours, then board to investigate."

You think again for a moment, calculating the travel times there. You say that you can probably make the trip in eight hours, which will give plenty of time to make some scans and attempt to contact them before boarding. You then say that they better come aboard, and you'll get the ship going.

You turn and walk back onboard your dear Sworder, sitting down in the flight seat. Before you take off, you send a short message to XCOM informing them of your destination, though you don't bother to wait for a reply. After a minute or so, you take off and head for the stars.

"Like I told Joel, I was... turned after I got jumped by some werewolves. After I got patched up, I went looking for them, and she was one of the first people in the underworld I found." Kenna looked back to Joel. "What's the big deal?"

"A demon. As in, a twisted soul from Hell? How is that not a big deal?" Joel asked, utterly confused.

"Because they're not actually that? Look, I'm not an expert on this shit by any means, but she's really nice. A bit clingy and overly peppy perhaps, but nice."

"Understood." Elm responded, shutting down the projection and following after Shara, Sam, in turn, following after Elm.

Once in the Sworder, both Elm and Sam looked around as they followed Shara, Sam out of curiosity, and Elm simply to commit the ship's design to memory. Once Shara reached the cockpit and sat down, Sam looked around for more seats, spotting one in the cockpit a little behind the captain's seat, and more further down the ship.

"Any preference?" Sam asked, lazily pointing towards the seat behind Shara with his right hand.

Elm hovered over to one of the seats further back into the ship, and lowered itself in it. "It doesn't really matter." It answered, buckling up. The seatbelts didn't match its design too well, but it was better then nothing.

Sam gave an affirmative nod, and sat down himself, buckling up, also. He didn't give much of a response as the Sworder lifted off, not feeling the forces exerted on his body.

"So." He began once the Sworder had left the planet. "Strange curveball fate has thrown here, eh?"

"Joel, lots of people would say say that vampires are bloodthirsty monsters, or that werewolves are violent animals. Why can't demons be different than what people usually think?" Seras pointed out.

After what seemed like an eternity of intense shaking, as the ship blasted through the atmosphere, the ship finally became suited for casual conversation. Now in orbit, there was only the constant hum of the engines and occasional chattering of machinery. You chuckle and agree with Sam, flicking the autopilot to go through the course you plotted. You turn around in your chair, and tell him that you nearly suspect the universe to have a sense of humour.

"Oh, right. Different universes." Joel said, before looking at Seras. "Technically, vampires are bloodthirsty and true werewolves are violent animals, where I'm from." he said.

"Sentient cosmic force?" Sam said questioningly with a wry snicker. "If I heard something like that a few weeks ago, I'd have called it bullshit. But now? I'd buy it." After a short pause, Sam looked behind his seat, to Elm, asking, "Can I show my face, here? Not like there's much point in keeping it hidden."

Elm had held on to the seatbelt as the ship blasted off, using its propulsion systems to keep it in place when needed. When the Sworder left Earth, Elm undid the seatbelt, noting the Sworder had artificial gravity, as it wasn't floating up. "No, there isn't. Go ahead." It answered, having already gathered much, if not everyone in the group knew of Sam's identity.

Looking back to Shara, Sam moved his right hand to the side of the helmet, and pressed and held the button there, making the faceplate slide up, showing Sam's deathly-pale skin, glassy, near colourless eyes, and lack of a scar or stubble beard. "Boo." He said flatly, lacing his hand together behind his head in an awkward way, leaning back in the seat.

"I'm just going by my world's standards. That's what demons are where I'm from." Joel replied.

I was leaning against a wall, smoking as usual when I overheard a conversation with the new dame. She's a werewolf eh. Not exactly my favorite creature but I've a met a nice few in my life. Usually whiny. Like to complain about the whole werewolf curse... They should really just use silver chains.
"Just make sure that you're somewhere safe on the full moon. I have silver bullets, and don't hold back when my life is at stake."
