"You're kidding?" Sophia replied. Matilda would hear something moving across the floor, although it might take her a second to register what it was, given the location and the sound of fur on the ground, it was most likely Sophia's tail. "The hell is up with that woman, the hell is up with that robot army!?" She groaned, not knowing what Ms. Pauling had described since Sophia had left before she really got into her details.

"Okay than. We'll be arriving there in at least an hour."

[color=01A9DB]"My name is Roland Deschain, of Gilead."[/color] Roland answered Jinzi. [color=01A9DB]"I do not know of this Australium, but it is obviously valuable if a man would send an army to acquire such a small amount."[/color]

One Hour Later

After arriving in Teufort, Miss Pauling directed Dave to land his ship by a few abandoned-looking buildings in the desert nearby. After landing, Miss Pauling walked to the place in the ship where some people were. "Well... We're here!"

Kenna and Samus walked out of the ship, Samus looking over the small town and Kenna behind her, now looking fully human, a black messenger bag on her back and covering her eyes from the sun.

Miss Pauling left the ship and walked over to a door on the factory, entered a code on the keypad, and opened the door, gesturing for the others to follow her inside.

[color=00c0c0]"Well that's a no brainer, anyone could have picked up on that."[/color] Jinzi said back, rolling her head almost like she was rolling her eyes at him. [color=00c0c0]"I doubt with that little amount of robots the city would give us anything either, right Azmot?"[/color] She asked, the butterfly man turning to her.

"It's hard to say, but probably not." He said as he scratched his chin. "We should check in town though and see if there's anything still going on there. Maybe a lingering robot or two." He suggested before looking towards Roland. "Would you be accompanying us, or are you still searching for that Ka-tet of your's Mr. Deschain?"

[color=00c0c0]"Oh come on, I don't want him coming along with us!"[/color] She retorted to Azmot, pointing one of her exoskeleton fingertips towards Roland. "[small]But I thought you'd talked about wanting to see more of his gun after he left?[/small]" Azmot replied quietly, calling her out causing her to stop for a moment. [color=00c0c0]"Oh, ya right I did say that~"[/color] She seemed to turn over a new leaf almost instantly, the hostility she'd had a moment ago melting away.

Sophia reluctantly followed along with the others, not exactly trusting Ms. Pauling as much as she might have liked given the situation, but she didn't want the others to get hurt by some situation either. "What is this place?"

[color=01A9DB]"If you try to take my guns, I will kill you."[/color] Roland warned Jinzi.

Seras and Faro followed the others out of the ship.

Samus and Kenna followed Ms Pauling without comment.

I walked out of the ship. It felt slightly less hopeless now. I ran out of drink. At least I know that alcohol poisoning wouldn't be the death of me. Started smoking like no tomorrow though. In the hour I decided that I should try to help these people in their stupid fight. I thought of Lenore again and what she would want me too do. She was always an optimist. She'd want me to march into hell for a heavenly cause if it came down too it. She was the only thing that kept me going. I walked into that abandoned building

In the building was a young man who looked like he couldn't possibly be over 25, pacing around the building. He was drinking a soda titled BONK! The Atomic Punch. When he saw Miss Pauling enter he threw the can to the wayside and having the drink land on Spy.
"Hey! Miss Pauling you're finally back!... Uh... But who are those mooks with ya?... Did you bring your work with ya again cause I'm pretty sure you're supposed to kill them before you bury them. I can help you with that if you want."

"This is an old battlefield where Redmond and Blutarch Mann would send thier forces to fight each other. Now that Grey has killed both of his brothers, we use it as a base for the mercs." Miss Pauling answered Sophia.

Apon entering the room, a man wearin a soldiers helmet that was far to big for him ran up to Miss Pauling and Sophia, pushing Scout to the ground. "Hello Miss Pauling! Hello mutant ferret person!" He greeted them.

"Hello Soldier..." Miss Pauling replied. "Meet your new teammates! But try not to become friends, as friendships are against company policy." She said to the Mercs as well as the group following her inside.

[color=00c0c0]"Or you could just, you know, gimme it? Save us both the hassle."[/color] She suggested as she extended out her upper right arms, her three fingers flexing like she honestly expected Roland to just hand it over.

Azmot merely shook his head, her bright pink antennae shaking back and forth slowly, not expecting Roland to do it himself but it didn't really matter. "That is too bad, when I saw you leave as you did, I actually expected you to return to them." He replied as he started moving towards the city, walking passed the two. "Come on let's go you two."

"Rrright." Sophia responded, adjusting her glasses as she looked around the area some more before they made it inside. Sophia was about to respond to Scouts comment when Soldier bulled his way towards them. On the one hand, she definitely wasn't a mutant ferret person, it a bit offensive to say actually, on the other hand the absolute conviction and straightforwardness of this 'Soldier' fellow was rather intimidating. "Hhhello, I am Sophia. Sophia Aethis, and um, I am not a mutant, but a beastkin. Soo, ya." Sophia paused several times, trying to take everything in.

[color=01A9DB]"I could not bring myself to face them."[/color] Roland answered Azmot, walking with him as he talked. [color=01A9DB]"I will not give my weapon to your companion, but I could easily give it a bullet to its head if it insists on seeing my gun."[/color]

Scout for once in his life actually got what Soldier was trying to say. He took that push too mean "Shut up about killing them." "Uh... Miss Pauling. Ain't we not part of Mann Co any more? Cause I definitely ain't got my paycheck this month!

The Sworder, ETA to Mars slingshot: 45 minutes...
Right after the portal closes behind you, you send a transmission to XCOM letting them know a couple of things. Firstly, that Forefront have some kind of local surveillance at certain locations on Earth, and secondly that they are now collecting materials at the site in Spain, equipped with a tracker you provided them. The XCOM response is that you were not authorized to allow that to happen, and warns you that if you do not stop any future Forefront portal movement on Earth, the repercussions will be harsh.

Only twenty minutes after the attack had started, the XCOM Skyranger set down roughly 100 metres from the carrier tank that was destroyed by Jinzi, Roland and Azmot. The three commandos, and Phaesan, got out as it landed. After a quick scan of their surroundings, they set off towards the wrecked tank.

Seras and Faro looked around as they walked around. They stared at the soldier, finding him odd.

Samus watched the Soldier, amused, while Kenna slowly mouthed "what the fuck" silently.

Joel and Matilda followed the other into the base, Joel eyeing the mercenaries warily and Matilda staying at the back of the group.

Due to the dark conditions, and the lack of a need to conceal her extraterrestrial nature, Phaesan had altered the opacity of her visor, making her face visible. Her inner eyelids were up, making her actual eyes and the dark skin around them visible. Phaesan stayed at the back of the group, as she was the only one present with almost 360 degrees of vision.

"No, Scout, you are not working for Mann Co anymore, you are working for the Administrator, who is not paying any of us until we reclaim Mann Co. Do you want to make her mad? Because I don't. I really, really don't want to make her mad."

"New teammate, huh?" Soldier asked, adjusting his helmet and standing up straight. He began walking around, as if he were a commanding officer doing an inspection. "I'm not going to lie to you, men. This mission will be more dangerous than anything you have faced before. You will probably all die. But remember that you will die with honor, for there is no greater honor than fighting for... America!" Soldier gave a salute, then stood with his hands behind his back, as still as a statue.

"Uhh, thank you, Soldier. Now, as I was about to say, we need to decide what we're doing. Sara said that we should go for the Australium first, so does anyone have any idea which one we should get first?"
