Samus would see three merfolk by the door; two carrying large spears on one side of the doors, and one carrying a huge axe on the other. There were three other merfolk, smaller than the ones by the door, in the crowd of hostages. Each of them carried a sword.

"Six targets. Three guarding the door, one axe, two spears. Three guarding hostages, swords, within striking range." Samus rattled off, informing the others and working through the situation in her head. "The swordsmen will kill the hostages as soon as they notice something wrong unless they are immediately incapacitated, but the door guards will make that difficult."
"Whatever." Yorick said as he pulled out a shotgun.
Seras gripped her new sword and waited for things to progress.

"Well, maybe we can get a different angle. Me and this girl will look for another entrance. Just give us a few minuets before you breach in." Yorick said as he started to walk away. Seras started to follow.
The officers moved into position, two on one side of the door and three on the other. The camera-operator pulled the camera back, and they prepared to enter. One of the officers then pulled the pin on his flash grenade, and tossed it through the hole in the door the spear had made.
After the grenade exploded, the two officers next to the doors opened the doors up and entered the gymnasium, at which point one took a spear through the neck and the other took an axe-head to the throat.
Samus would see the three other merfolk stabbing some of the hostages in the backs of their heads.

OOC: Wait...I thought the merfolk needed the hostages for their thing...
Yorick and Seras started looking for another entrance to the gym.

EMily's laser wouldn't get through the merman's armour. The two mermen who had attacked pulled their weapons out of the SAT officer's bodies, then moved behind the open doors so EMily wouldn't be able to see them.
Yorick and Seras wouldn't find another door, and got themselves slightly lost.
The other merfolk continued killing hostages.

When the merfolk that EMily was targeting realised what was happening, they quickly pulled one of the living hostages to her feet as a human shield. The other merfolk standing among the hostages did the same.

OOC: So...those other officers are just kinda standing around I guess...and those hostages should really be trying to get away by this point.
Seras and Yorick continue to wander, hoping against hope the stars and planets will align and they will find the mythical other entrance to the gym, as was prophesied so long ago.

Samus, still having the charge beam ready, aimed at one of the hostage takers, heat wavering off her cannon, waiting for a clean shot.
"So that's how we're going to play huh?" She ceased the microwave beam once the hostages were pulled up as meat shields.
She was glad she had built up a wealthy amount of energy at her disposal. Her eyes glowing furiously, she knew exactly where the metal armor was. She then started to severely contort the metal armor of her original target (that held a hostage) with an intense magnetic field, as if a titanic fist was crushing the merman from its own armor. Knowing where any other metal objects were on the hostages, she took care as to where the magnetic field went.
She was glad she had built up a wealthy amount of energy at her disposal. Her eyes glowing furiously, she knew exactly where the metal armor was. Seras and Yorick got even more lost. However, they also found the spear Seras had been stabbed with.
Stanley dazed the three merfolk next to the door, and the three in the crowd of hostages. And a bunch of the hostages. After one of the merfolk with a hostage recovered, they quickly thrust their sword at his chest.
Samus would see an open shot, on the merfolk attacking Stanley. This would be a slightly risky shot, however, due to the presence of both Stanley and the hostage.
When EMily began crushing the merfolk, they fell to their knees behind the hostage. Before EMily successfully killed her target, however, the merfolk killed their hostage.
After a few moments, there was a slight rumbling sound, and the floor and walls trembled a little.
