Before the officer could explain what 'forcing a window' means, everyone around the building would hear a man yelling, followed by a sound they may recognise as an axe blade hitting a person's stomach, both of which came from inside the apartment.
Samus tried forcing the window open (just deciding to break through the window if that failed) and jumped into the apartment, looking around and raising the Paralyser.
Vicky's comments went unheard, as the police officers were busy running into the building.
Samus would struggle to force the window open due to the position she was in, but would be successful in her attempt to break the glass. She would see a closed door on her right, with the source of the sounds coming from behind it.

Samus kicked the door open, the boot's blast probably taking it off the hinges, and looked around for Chloe. If she saw her and could take a shot without hurting anyone else, she would.
Samus and the Mason sisters would enter the room and see the man lying on the bed, with his legs on the floor. The area of floor and bed around the body was covered in blood, as was some of the door, at waist-height. Judging this height would be hard, however, as the door had flown across the room, hit a wall, and fallen backwards thanks to Samus' kick. Chloe would be nowhere to be seen.
Samus holstered her paralyser, scowling and looking around for anywhere Chloe might have gone.
"Seriously? Another bounty with a vanishing act? And we need to explain to the police what's going on. And they're likely not going to believe us even when we're being honest." EMily was indeed freaking out.

Gwen and Samus would see a variety of places Chloe could have gone; under the bed, in the wardrobe and potentially out of the window. This could be considered the least likely, since the window was shut, just as the other had been.
Samus, seeing the others checking the room, decided to check the window to see if there was anything outside, carefully stepping around the blood pool.
None of the group would find Chloe, and during the search, the two police officers entered the room. "What the hell is going on?" one asked the group.
