"Sergeant, I regret to inform you I am not comfortable informing you of the reason for my actions."

As Hans spoke, his body slowly clenched, as if expecting a blow. He continued working, stacking individual tools in little clusters. It took up little room, but what room his inventory took was cluttered.

Code:
"You say that like it's not just something anyone can do."
Victoria replied to Roffe, her eyes drooping to half-lidded. She glanced back down at Hans to say,
Code:
"Well that's troubling. If you won't tell us what happened, then we can't try and make sure it doesn't happen again, now can we?"

"Maybe where you're from magic isn't so special, but where I'm from it's not something just anybody can do." Roffe said to Vicky.

"A few different things, but mostly this." Roffe said before reaching into his sleeve and pulling out a candy cane about the length of his own arm.

Seras watched him do this and was rather impressed. Roffe saw this and smile at her. She bashfully looked away in return.

"Y-yes sergeant, that is correct." Han's answered, head bowing in worry. "During training, I fell askeep guarding our food. My fellow guard allowed a friend to partake of our food supplies before they tried to escape. To desert. I recieved 16 lashes for my possible betrayal, and missed two meals to replace the lost rations. I was also on the firing squad for the traitors, and I was required to give the firing order." Hans looked over his supplies, and nodded stiffly. He began packing back in, starting with a well provisioned set of repair tools.

Code:
"I can do something like that too."
Victoria replied to Roffe. She pressed her left ringer as far down on her palm as she could... and was surprised when nothing happened. She attempted the motion several more times, then groaned in irritation. Oh just do not let this be malfunctioning... Not now...

Code:
"Yeesh... The more I hear about where you came from, the more I think you got lucky with this."
Victoria commented to Hans.
Code:
"So that means you're gonna flip out anytime anyone touches your stuff then, is that what I'm getting?"

Victoria glared at Roffe, her mechanical eye's lense flaring up and back down again,
Code:
"Oh shut up. My Pocket just stopped working."
Which is gonna really make everything suck from here on out...

"Interesting. I've never had that problem myself." Roffe said as he twirled the candy cane for a bit. "Hmm?" he hummed after offering it to Vicky.

"I will avoid it as best I can." Hans told Victoria. He loaded all the field kit needed for a small surgery, and began fitting spare packs of ammunitoon in his pack, including two small liquid containers.

Code:
"Neither have I. Then again I've never been hurled to another dimension against my will before, so maybe that had something to do with it."
Victoria replied to Roffe, irritability still in her voice. She hummed for a moment as she looked at the candy cane, the said,
Code:
"I think I'll pass."
Code:
"Probably be best if it were a team effort to not provoke ya in the first place."
She replied to Hans.

"So you got anything else in that coat, or is it just full of over-sized candy?"

The car continues to follow in pursuit, it's police lights online.

in the miror, you can see the officer in the passangers seat on a phone, typing something quickly, before rolling down the windows.

"Stopped the car in the name of law, you are traveling in the wrong lane!"

The car continued to move, as one of the officers rolled down one of the windows, pulling out a crossbow, aiming at the tires, and letting loose a bolt.

There was a bit of screaming in the back, as one of the rear windows were burst open. A man, ragged and obviously insane, began to wrestle with the officer for the Crossbow.
