Himura entered the cockpit and waited as Hans flipped switches.

[hr]

Nakamura found a car large enough to hold everyone that was following, and got in the front. While the others got in, he set the GPS.

Eventually, Hans ran through his checklist, confirming fuel and ammunition, as well as hull integrity and current barometric pressure. he started up the two turbines of the Valkyrie, and let them each reach their max speed, observing how it went. He seemed lost in thought, and didn't notice Himura entering the cockpit.

Once everyone who was coming had gotten in the car, the officer began the drive to Tokyo Port.

[hr]

Port of Tokyo, Minato Ward, Tokyo. 12:15AM

The car stopped near the bay, where a small group of police officers were assembled.

Seras and Yorick both exit the car. Yorick quickly wandered off and started looking around to see what the bay was like.

Seras did much the same thing, except she was looking more at the beach/coastline.

EMily got out as well, and took a moment to take a look at the scenery.
"Jeez, even a thousand years ago, Earth's splendor still blows me away."

She elevated her sense of electrical and magnetic fields in the area. Any wires, conductors, metals, or electrical activity she would sense. She joined Seras in watching the bay at night.
"What'cha thinkin'?"

Victoria stepped out of the car and overlooked the area.
Code:
"Well... Can't say I've seen something like before."
She muttered to herself as she stared out directly at the ocean.

Everyone looking at the bay would see commercial ships sailing around the bay and into the port. A few bridges spanned the rivers flowing into the bay, and one long bridge stretched across to Sodegaura, on the other side of the water from Tokyo.
EMily might detect electrical activity similar to what she would expect of humans, under the water. In addition to this, she would pick up electrical activity on the boats, and of other marine life in the bay.

Hans noted the turbines strength, and slowly shifted both to 20% of their normal power, lifting the Valkyrie into the air in a sedate manner. after he rose about the skyline, he increased speed to 60% percent and began moving the Valkyrie swiftly in a random direction, waiting for orders from Himura.

"Trying to figure out how vulnerable this place is to an amphibious assault." Seras said to EMily.

"How deep is the bay?" she asked Ryuu.

Yorick continued to look at the buildings surrounding the coast line, trying to get a feel the the whole area.

Himura used the GPS to direct Hans to the airport. The airport, rather conveniently, was situated by the port the others were at.

"Hmmmm...." She paused for a moment after Seras spoke. "At this point I should probably explain what exactly I can do. The EM in my name stands for electromagnetism. My three sisters and I are able to sense and use the fundamental forces of nature to aid us. Two of them can sense nuclear activity and the other can sense gravitational activity. Mine, as my name suggests, means that I can sense electromagnetic activity. I can feel nearly anything within range the more I concentrate. As a kid I used to practice this sense by predicting where lightning would strike during a storm."
She turned her head from side to side. Her eyes glowed a faint blue.
"And at the moment, I can feel many things going on. I can feel the electric activity going on from some of the boats (as well as their metal), and the nearby city. If I feel hard enough I can sense other organisms. Even radio waves I can hear. But deep down below that ocean I can sense something at the bottom. Something created by something with intellect."

For clarification, when I said "electrical activity similar to what she would expect of humans" I meant she would detect organisms similar to humans underwater.

"About 40 meters, I think." Ryuu replied. "Some parts might be deeper."
Ryuu, and a few other officers able to speak English, looked at EMily in awe as she explained her powers.

Code:
"Just all kinds'a new stuff around here."
Victoria said to herself as she watched the boats with great interest.
Code:
"Wait, they got stuff underneath all that water?"
She asked EMily, picking up on what she said.

"Oooh. That's neat." Seras said to EMily with a look of wide-eyed innocence on her face. "Wait, you can sense something under the water?" she asked as she peered down into the water herself.

"I can't nail it down entirely," She turned her head in a specific direction and her eyes glowed brighter, "But every time I turn to this angle and concentrate my senses hard at said angle, I feel something like the movement of objects working like a community. Again it's faint because it's far away and it's only from neural activity, but something is down there definitely."

OOC: @Trilby. Mmmkay. For future reference, neural activity is harder to sense than electrical wiring or metals.

Right. I'll bear that in mind.

"Neural activity... you mean like brains?" Ryuu asked.

Code:
"You think it's worth checking out?"
Vic asked EMily.
Code:
"Cuz I can do that easy-peasy if it's worth the effort."

"40 meters...Could somebody swim that far down without getting crushed by the water pressure?" Seras asked EMily, since she was obviously the scientific type.

"How would you check it out?" Seras asked Vicky.

Yorick decided to walk back over at this point.
