Once the grisly deed was finished, Samus paused for a moment, then walked back downstairs silently.
"Well this was pointless." Yorick said as he walked down the stairs. "You look different. Change your hair?" he asked Samus.
"Well great. Like I said, pointless. Makes me wonder just what those fish people were hoping to accomplish." Yorick said as he walked down the stairs to the level EMily and Seras were on. "I'm telling the police that if this happens again, just demolish the building ASAP."
"Did you guys find anything upstairs? Any clues?"
She eyed Samus' suit and got up to get a good look at it.
"Your suit... I'm assuming the electronics I detected did this? What exactly was it?"

"These things were calling for help. Bombing them outright would have only attracted more attention, and could hurt civilians." Samus said to Yorick. When they got to Emily, she turned to the maid. "The electronic signal was a upgrade for my suit. They were keeping what was left of the humans up there."
"Why would they have been calling for help? They were just drawing more attention to themselves and they seemed to have the situation under control." Yorick replied.
"I think they were trying to lure people in here so they could make them into zombies." Seras said as she struggled into a sitting position.

"Hmmm... I'm intrigued as to where the upgrade came from. But for now we need to address the situation. If this was a small scale attack, maybe it wasn't intending to do anything huge. Perhaps they were testing the defenses of their 'land-enemies.' Maybe they were testing how quickly they could assimilate others into becoming a 'water-zombie' in such conditions."
"Maybe it's a combination of things. But it's imperative that we try and find any hints, clues, or evidence that leads us to the source of the invasion. But so far, all we've been able to gather are our aforementioned hypothesis'. Maybe we should search the mermen for clues."
"Yeah, let's get the hell out of here." Yorick said as he started down the stairs.

Samus looked at Yorick and Seras. "Yes, you head outside. I have a scanner, I'll investigate in here." She turned to EMily. "Care to join me?"
Samus nodded at her, then switched to the scan visor, combing over the corpses and environments slowly to see if there was anything she missed the first time.
