OOC: @King Whurdler. We were inside the hospital. It sounds like you were outside the whole time even though you were talking to EMily and Samus, who were inside.

EMily was taken by surprise as Heavy left the building all of a sudden with few words.
"Alrighty then. Seya." She shook her head. "What a bizarre man."

Being hard more hard to see than usual due to the hospital lighting, Serene poked her through the ceiling and looked down at EMily and Samus. "I'm sure that's not the first bizarre man you've seen before and certainly not the last" She said crossing her ghost like arms. "Oh well, they do say the bizarre and crazy ones are the most entertaining..."

"I suppose that's true. And there have been crazier people I've met in my travels across space." She made a small laugh. "Well, we still have time before the autopsy is finished. Could you tell me a little about yourself Serene? I mean... besides the dead and ghostly part. Like, where are you from?"

"You've been across space? like, for real?" Serne asked unfolding her arms and hovering down to eye level. "Well where to start, My name is Serene Cryoxi and I'm from Metroia. which is a closed in city quite a bit away from the rest of the world, I don't know how the world works in this one or yours but cities tend to keep their distances to keep population numbers up but casualties down" She explained to EMily.

"Yes I have been into space. Mostly in the Solar System and a few years outside of it as well."

"Well, the cities on Earth tend to be far apart as well. Not to prevent casualties, but because there's less interest in growth nowadays and more interest in international relations and scientific research. That's why New Lawrence, Kansas is not necessarily a town like its predecessor. But an area filled with manors mixed in with farmland, roughly 90,000. Is your world quite violent? Is that why your cities are far apart?"

Far out in the solar system, just past the orbit of Jupiter, a small and sleek spaceship jumped into the system. It was a mere 25 metres long and had three large engines roaring behind it. The captain of this vessel set a course for Earth, surprised that none of the spaceports on the vast Kane Band around the planet responded to her hails.

With a tingling of forewarning the captain activated the autopilot, which would steer the ship to the blue pearl. Something was not right, and as the captain leaned back and closed her eyes she suspected that rest would be short to come by for the next few days.

Serene gave a simple nod. "So far in this world it seems you don't have Creatures of the living dead attacking, I'm not talking about Zombies either these are much worse!" Her eye started to spin slowly. "Think of Ghost, kinda like myself but ones that can fade threw objects but can also grab you and tear your living heart out. This are the creatures that in my world run ragged, so lands tend to keep far away to avoid the possibilities of a outbreak but it also means help is far too reach out for" Serene smiled. "Also if you die in my world, your soul can be eaten up by a Shadow and you become one of them. How does one kill that which has no life after all?" Serne then smiled more. "SO WHAT'S SPACE LIKE!" she asked rather excitedly, now laying down with her hands supporting her head upright.

"Do you know what caused such an outbreak? This sounds quite severe."

"Space is very large. As the name suggests, there's lots of space between objects like stars and planets. The nearest star system to ours is Rigel Kentaurus, about 4.5 lightyears away. That's nearly 42.6 trillion kilometers away. If you're traveling at near light speed it'll take you just as long. Few ships are capable of traveling faster than light. For the primary reason is that we tend to research things in our own solar system. The outposts outside of the solar system are just that. They're there as vantage points so we can study space more in depth. Those that travel outside have researched exo-planets up to 300 ly away from our solar system. But the ship I travel on is one of a kind. Its extent reaches to nearly any point in the Milky Way, granted you know where you're headed and you remember where home is. And its distance is much larger. It's roughly 100,000 lightyears across. That's 48 quadrillion kilometers."

"Apparently it's due to a experiment outbreak of some...Doctor...or something, I'm not one hundred percent on that but I know theirs a few loony people wanting to kill him or save him or...help him? Quite frankly I just want to ask him why somebody would wanna do that, if indeed he was the person to cause it ya know?" Serene explained to EMily, her face turned more speechless as EMily explained. "I've heard of stories about space travels before from someone else but..." Serene suddenly floated around quickly and squealed like a child. "I've always wanted to go! when I was young I use to look at the stars and dream about touching them" She then floated up right once more. "I guess dreams and much more are lost when your life is as well"

"Well, it would be a good question to ask him. Have you found any clues otherwise? Do you have any people in the line of investigation?"

"Some people say we're the first real generation to go out and see other stars. Ask that a few hundred years ago, and they would not have reached farther than Pluto. I'm sure somehow, maybe you could catch a ride on a spaceship if your world comes to peace. That was the job we had to do on Earth before we could go into space like that. And even then, we still have a lot of things to do. At some point in time after all our nightmares we felt that we had hit a nice spot in our history. We were at a good stable point where we could hear the stars beckon."

"You could hear the stars beckon, that's so beautiful" Serene gave a lovely smile towards EMily. "Yeah well we have the Army trying to solve problems, but other then that it's more a free for all. problem is this Doctor person has disappeared and only left awake of people's now ruined lives behind, the only reason I exist now is partly because of him after all"

EMily smiled back at Serene and gave a friendly chuckle.
"I wish that your world be at peace one day. Then you will also hear the stars beckon."

Samus' remark took her by surprise. But it was mostly the tone that caught her off guard.
"What? The fact that stars don't actually talk to you?"

"Stars do emit some radio waves, but that was not my point." Samus walked towards EMily slowly. "Space is not a romantic, endless wonder. It is dangerous, filled with deadly creatures and phenomena. I know this because it is my job to stop them. Anyone who thinks of it as a glorious frontier is naïve at best, suicidally willfully ignorant at worst."

Her tone became far more serious.
"Excuse me, but it is obvious that you do not live in the same Milky Way Galaxy that I do. There are only 5 or so alien species that are spread across the vast volume of our Milky Way. And even then they haven't even gone over a smattering of planets. Contact between these systems has almost never happened. Only I, my sisters, and the crew of our ship has ever met them. And not one of them is anything like a human. Not one of them speaks like us, walks like us, or even lives like us. Their government and politics work for them and not us. There are some that I have met that are destructive, but they have yet to reach us as distance is a problem. But there are those I have met who are also wanting to know what this universe is like. Those who are on a mission of understanding. The only real danger is traveling across the vast reaches of space. As the environment is often more dangerous than any inhabitants you might find."

She took a deep breath, but kept her tone.
"So I urge you to excuse yourself for calling me naïve and suicidal, when I know I am a good person and a good scientist who takes action, makes mistakes, takes risks, uses her imagination, all in an attempt to Learn. This. Universe. I understand that you come from a place where all life wants to do is kill each other. But do you understand me?"

Samus paused for a second as she considered this. "We really do come from different places. The galaxy I know has more alien races, few of them sentient, and is filled with predators, hazards and pirates in many different systems. I care more about stopping them then any grand research."

She took a deep sigh and bowed her head.
"I forgive you. Well, it is hard to do any research when everything tends to be more destructive. It must be the roughest place to be. But your place is a warrior, I can tell. You must be strong to have been brought up in such a place." She made a sincere smile, "My grandfather once said to me, 'We all want to have peace, but we must protect the peace.' So tell me, what was your last adventure like? What did you fight?" She asked, eager to learn.
