We Are Our Avatars IX: Act V: The Sabotage of the Scandolous Saurian Scoundrels (Open)

Yorick turned to look at EMily. He looked a little misty eyed before wiping the emotion from his face. "Thank you EMily." he said as he put a hand on her shoulder. He kept it there for a moment before taking it off and walking away. "I'm going for a nap." he said simply as he left for his room.

Seras hummed from behind EMily.

 

[Slenn]

"You're very welcome, Yorick. Have a good rest." She said peacefully.

She turned to Seras, and made an exhausted sigh.
"I'm not sure exactly what to do now except rest. The only other thing we can try to do is to try and find their leader. Gosh, I've only arrived here last night, and so much has happened."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"You said it. I could really use another nap." Seras said as she stretched and yawned.

 

[Slenn]

"I'm gonna go get a muffin and take a rest here. I think I see a bake store in this lobby. I can get you something if you want anything."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Well, I might as well tell you I can't actually eat anything except...you know..." Seras said, sounding rather sad about this fact.

 

[Slenn]

"My apologies." She said out of consolation, "Well, take a rest for right now. I'll be right back."

She went off to get a muffin, and sat down in the lobby once she had obtained said baked good and started eating.

Seras went up to her room. Once inside she got undressed and went to sleep.

The figure nodded and took out two syringe-like objects from a pouch. One was empty, but the other was filled with a bluish liquid. The alien walked around to Victoria's right side, and began looking for a vein.

 

[Drakmorg]

Hey, looks like we might be gettin' somewhere... Victoria turned her right arm over so her palm was facing upwards once she saw the syringes, already familiar with standard procedure for such things. The person would have a more difficult time than what would be usually expected in finding a vein due to Victoria's lowered blood pressure, but it wouldn't be impossible.

 

[Slenn]

After she had finished her cappuccino muffin, she had opened up Photon and started listening to some music to think to. There was no headphone jack or anything of the sort on Photon. How she was listening to the music was quite unique. Instead of relying on speakers to produce sound, Photon sent electrical information up through her hand, her arm, then her head and into the audio nerves in her ear. No real sound was emitted from the device, but her brain perceived it as an auditory signal.

After taking a small amount of Victoria's blood, the person put a small amount of the blue liquid into the syringe. They shook the syringe, causing the blue liquid to mix with the blood and slowly take on its colour. The figure then injected the mixture back into Victoria. [color=ff9966]"This shouldn't take long."[/color]

 

[Gearhead mk2]

After a while resting in her own room, Samus came down to the lobby in her Zero Suit, still bearing a few light cuts. She sat near EMily, seeming to curl up a bit.

 

[Slenn]

While not apparent to Samus, EMily turned off the audio signals.
"Hello there. What's on your mind?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Nothing." Samus replied, though it was a blatant lie.

 

[Drakmorg]

Victoria didn't show much reaction to either syringe poking into her, seeming used to the procedure. Here goes nothing I guess... After the second injection she closed her eyes and started breathing in as deeply as she could manage, waiting for whatever was being done to her to take effect.

 

[Slenn]

"Oh c'mon. You're curling up like railroad tracks buckling under thermal stress. So what's biting you?"

Victoria would slowly feel better, as the injected mixture began dealing with the blood loss.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus was quiet for a second. "Civilians were injured and killed in front of me because I was sloppy. I nearly killed one myself. " She sounded regretful.

 

[Slenn]

"I'll tell you one thing, I wish there were no deaths myself. However there is no escaping that we're only just human, and that no matter how hard you train, there's always a limit to the human capacity. The best thing to do, and this has worked for me, is to ask myself what can I do to be better. Even if there's a situation where there's no room for mistakes, you're still learning. I remember huge failures I've made before. In the past I've overestimated my capabilities. And I've forgotten information that's vital to the safety of others around me when I use my powers. All you can do at this point is to take your mistakes with a grain of salt, like a teacher. Eventually those huge mistakes build up as reminders, or as they are more commonly known: 'experience'."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Trust me, I am very experienced and no stranger to people around me getting hurt." Samus remarked with a bit of wry, dark wit. "But I could have done better back there."
