Previously:​

At the mention Victoria blurted out everything that came to mind when she first got the new voice box, Yeul tried to suppress a smile to not show the thoughts going through her head amused her. When Victoria herself chuckled, however, Yeul stopped trying this, a small smile growing on her face.

"Yet there is no delay between you mouthing the words, and actually speaking them. That must have taken a fair amount of practice?" She said questioningly, her facial expression now returned to a neutral one.

Presently:​

Leaving the ship, Caius glanced over to Victoria outside, and gave a barely-vissible nod in way of a greeting as he moved, continuing on townwards.

Yeul also looked to Victoria, greeting her with a "Hello", and following after Caius.

"Silence" only cast a glance at Victoria upon exiting the ship, doing so without turning their head. They also moved towards the town, but moved in a different direction then Caius and Yeul did.

 

[Slenn]

EMily had walked back to where Gwen and Winona were. They were presently playing a game of holographic checkers on Gwen's computer, in the hallway outside of Sophia's room.

"Hello I'm back." EMily waved.

 

[Chungus]

Leaving the site the ships were docked at and entering town, Caius and Yeul began to head for Ye Olde Bounty store, with Caius taking point, remembering the way. On their way, Yeul stopped momentarily to admire a bouquette in a vase, sitting on the windowsill in a home, but then moved on. Those were arranged nicely.

Eventually reaching the site where they found the bounty store previously, Caius looked around for the door, and to see if the store was open.

Entering down, "Silence" moved the two streetblocks away, to the alleyway where their jet bike was parked. Not imediately turning around the corner, they looked to see if anyone was nearby, and activated their cloaking device when they found this wasn't the case.

Now invissible, "Silence" entered the alleyway and approached their bike, which - while the dome slid back - didn't turn vissible this time.

Caius would see the listed opening times of the bounty store as being "Forever - Forever", so it was probably open.

 

[Kirke]

When Sophia asks to be left alone, you nod and step out after Yeul. You see the Mason sisters and raised a hand in greeting.

XCOM HQ...

Dr. Vahlen, leader of the research team, was guiding Phaesan to the newest addition to the XCOM Base. "Ze Atmospheric Chamber is the best of its type in the world. We have it currently filled with the same gas composition that we found in your own atmospheric control system. This will allow you to breathe without ze suit, and we will be able to examine it. Any questions?"

[color=ff9966]"Well, I was wondering if you could get me a small amount of human lung tissue. I can work on a permanent solution with that."[/color] Phaesan replied.

 

[Chungus]

Seeing the bounty store was always open, Caius approached the door, and entered with Yeul. Once inside, Caius approached the desk, while Yeul looked around the store some more.

Once they got inside their jet bike, the dome slid forward again and closed, after which the bike began emitting a low humming noise noise as the engines were started. "Silence" could contact their superior where they were parked, as it would require opening a miniature portal, and this would attract attention that was better avoided. Raising up a few meters, the landing gear of the jet bike retracted, after which "Silence" flew off, doing so slowly to minimize the noise made.

 

[Slenn]

"Hello, Shara. What have you been up to? I haven't had a chance to talk to you in a long time." EMily said looking up from where she was sitting.

Caius would see the same faceless person standing behind the counter, as usual.

After a short amount of looking, Yeul would find a bounty for Sophia, her attention likely drawn to it as it was on its own board. The listed crimes were;

63 counts of Murder
Practice of Chocolate Magic
Robbery
Resisting arrest

No bounty was listed, but the poster did state information would lead to monetary reward.

"Yeah."

Victoria admitted to Yeul with a sigh.

"I remember that for a while I used to spend a little bit of time everyday practicing in front of a mirror to get it right."

Samus would see Victoria messing around with trying to recall some more of her equipment to pass the time. After a flash of light, Vicky's left hand was holding a yellow-colored metallic rod, roughly the size of an AA battery. A slot opened on Vicky's left arm, ejecting a similar object, but this one colored red. She placed the yellow one in the same slot on her arm, and dismissed the red one in another flash of light, this all happening in the time Samus would take to approach.

"Hmm?"

She looked up as she took notice of Samus speaking to her.

"Oh, yeah, sure. How about you?"

 

[Kirke]

You look over at EMily and greet her. You say that you've been keeping yourself busy, but returned when you heard of the broadcast.

Dr. Vahlen looked a little surprised, but quickly got over. "I believe that can be arranged. I will put in a request for a sample later today.

[color=ff9966]"I wouldn't need much."[/color] Phaesan clarified, as she took a tube filled with blue liquid out from a pouch on her armour.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I am fine. I just wanted to check on you. You seem... Troubled recently." Samus said, trying to avoid looking at Vicky's arm.

 

[Slenn]

"Ah yes! The broadcast!" She said, getting herself up. "We picked up something last night on TV. Yuel suggested something about looking for things that shouldn't belong when watching TV."

<color=purple>"In this day and age, there's lots of stuff that shouldn't belong on TV." Gwen joked while making a move on her game of checkers.

"Jokes aside, this morning I traced the signal of the channel it broadcasted from and it said it was coming from something called 'Northern and Shell Limited.'"

 

[Chungus]

Previously:​

"The practice, it did pay off." Yeul responded, her voice sounding somewhat complimentary.

After saying this, Yeul paused for a time, to some extend, to indicate a change in subject, but more as she took the time to considder wherther or not to ask the question going through her head. "The ones that maimed you so..." She began carefully, deciding to ask the question. "Were they human?"

Presently:​

As the bounty was on its own board, it didn't take long for Yeul to notice the bounty. Although she couldn't read the text printed on it, she did recognise the sketch of a younger Sophia.

"If you could help me." Caius began upon reaching the counter, placing his hands on it. "I was wondering if any bounty has been issued for the capture of one So--"

"I believe I found it." Yeul interupted Caius, looking to him, and pointing to the bounty poster.

After flying a short distance, "Silence" noticed a small square, surrounded by storrage boxes, and a single street leading to it. A perfect spot. Descending, the landing gear extended from the jet bike's underside, touching down on them.

After this, an antenna extended from the front of the bike, which shot a blue beam of light into the sky.

 

[Kirke]

You say that that seems like a good place to start then, but you also ask if not broadcasts are usually sent through several transmit points to increase the strength of the signal.

The two arrived at the Atmosphere Chamber. "I am afraid it is not something we keep a stock off. The next delivery for the research team arrives tomorrow, I will make sure the sample in in that delivery. Now, would you please?" The doctor indicated into the airlock. Inside the Atmo Chamber, a couple of scientist waited. They were wearing fully covering suits, with air tubes.

 

[Slenn]

"That might be the case. I figured it would be transmitted from far away and then resent through a series of towers. Each station should keep a log as to what they are receiving and transmitting."

"What are you looking for?" the person behind the counter asked.

[color=ff9966]"That's okay, it isn't urgent."[/color] Phaesan said, as she entered the chamber.

Previously​

Vicky smiled thankfully back at Yeul.

"Thanks."

Though the smile faded during Yeul's pause, when she started speaking again it looked like it wouldn't come back for a while.

"Wasn't the same people, and it wasn't all at once, but yeah. They're to blame for all of this."

Vicky furrowed her brow at Samus and looked back out at the field.

"Yeah, like I said, I'm fine. I just needed to get my priorities straight is all."

 

[Kirke]

You say, rather quietly, that your current employer was looking into the actual recording studio. You add that you should probably contact them and ask what they found. You say that you'll do that from your ship, if they don't mind.

The scientists inside showed Phaesan to a screened area, where she could remove the suit in privacy. Inside, there was also a decently large bathrobe, so she could cover herself up.
