"Sure, I don't mind an adventure."

Winona smiled as she won her game of checkers. <color=green>"I'm ready to go too!" She brightly smiled. The other two stood up.

You nod, and set off towards your beloved Sworder. As you go, you wonder why the sisters got so excited over what amounts to a call. Shrugging it off, you step inside your ship and head to the cockpit.

I suspected as much. "I see." Yeul responded initially, breaking eye contact for a moment. Another question began to form in Yeul's mind, but she didn't ask this, feeling she had asked enough about the topic, already. "I am sorry, for what it is worth."

After having said this, Yeul paused for an other moment, then said, "At least the technology exists that alows you to have a semblence of a normal life after this."
[hr]
Presently:

Caius didn't imediately respond to the figure's question, instead walking to the bounty board, and taking Sophia's warrent off. "This." He stated once he walked back to the counter, laying the poster down on it. "...You can see it, yes?"

"I'm glad this thing is still in good shape." She nodded. "Where might be your transmitter?"

Phaesan removed the tablet device, and the various pouches and holsters, from the suit and laid them down next to the screen. Not bothering to make sure she was concealed, Phaesan removed her suit and helmet, though she left the part of the helmet covering her lower head on.
Her stature was humanoid, however her skin was covered in grey, rock-like plates. On her head were two pairs of what were presumably eyes, one pair on the back and one on the front. The 'eyes' seemed to be a dark brown, almost black, colour, and were smooth. However, anyone with good eyesight who was looking at Phaesan's head when she removed her helmet would notice that these were not the actual eyes, and had flicked down like eyelids. The scientists may presume these were some kind of lens.
Aside from the hips being noticeably wider than her body, there would be little physical indication of Phaesan's sex, by human standards.

Only, the skin on the back of the head, neck and body is covered by the plates, too.

[hr]

"In a manner of speaking, yes." the figure confirmed.

You glance back at EMily and wonder if it shouldn't be self-evident, and simply say it's in the cockpit. Putting on a headset, you go through the long and arguous process of opening a channel to XCOM. This includes linking via several satellites, putting another layer of encryption on each time and sending a twenty letter code that was randomly generated. After a few minutes it is done, and you ask for an update on the knights. You are informed that the knights had disappeared from the scene when the squad arrived, and that the only trace of an escape route was a that a hole had been melted through the exterior wall, at nearly the top floor. With a sigh, you thank the man on the other end and cut communications. You then turn back to the Mason sisters and relay the information.

[hr]
The two researchers, taken slightly aback by Phaesan not bothering with privacy, collected the suit and helmet on a portable table and rolled out through the airlock, to go run scans and the like on them. Dr. Vahlen, meanwhile, was looking through the window at Phaesan. "Fascinating..."

"I see. Then, could you read the text underneath the sketch?" Caius asked. "Neither my charge, nor I are familiar with this script."

Yeul moved to Caius' side at the counter, looking to where the figure's face would be if the had one, with some curiousity vissible on her own.

"Hey now don't give me that look. Every universe is different in how they communicate. I just want to make sure I'm not hitting the wrong buttons here."

After Shara was able to turn it on they waited for a response on the knights.

"That's... interesting. Why would they escape through the top floor like that?"

Code:
"Thanks."
Vicky replied to Yeul, sounding appreciative, but not exactly in high spirits. She held her left hand in front of her face and individually curled and straightened each of her fingers.
Code:
"Yeah, at least there's that..."
[hr]

Code:
"Forget about it."
Vicky said to Samus. Vicky was looking back out at the field once again when the beam of light went off, catching her attention.
Code:
"Am I seeing things, or did you just see that too?"

The figure nodded, and read everything on the poster. "Do you have any dictionaries and grammar books for your written language, if you have one?" the figure asked, once that was complete.

[hr]

Phaesan watched the scientists remove her gear, then turned her attention to Dr Vahlen. Once her eyes had adjusted to the light, the dark lenses over Phaesan's eyes moved back up. [color=ff9966]"What's fascinating?"[/color] she asked.

Samus looked over as Vicky did, catching the tail end of the beam of light. "I saw it too... What was that?"

You say dryly that perhaps they did not want to take the stairs. You then shrug and say that you really don't know more than them about this, and possibly less.

[hr]
"Your physiology, it is very unlike our own, yet in overall shape roughly ze same. Can we really have evolved so alike independently?" Vahlen seemed engrossed in thought for a moment, before snapping her fingers and coming back to the now. "Excuse me, I must go oversee the scanning procedure. I will be back later."

"No such thing exists on my homeworld." Yeul stated, trying to change the subject. "Although robots have existed for a very long time, no one has ever tried to graft conponents onto a human body." She added, then looked to Caius. "Am I correct."

Caius momentarily cocked his head to the side, by a small amount. "I believe cybernetics have been grafted onto some creatures, but never a person, no."
[hr]
Presently:

"We have none with us, no." Caius answered the faceless figure, frowning slightly as they read out the crimes listed. "How would we contact the people who issued this warrant?" He questioned.

Yeul's eyes widened as the faceless person read the charges, her mouth agape by a small margain. She looked into the distance as thoughts ran through her head a moment, then shook her head. This is odd... She does not seem to be one who is capable of murder...

Still sitting at their desk in their home universe, the six-limbed figure pulled the black device out of their drawer again as it made a beeping noise. Pulling the two sides apart and bringing up the holographic display in doing so, the figure was "Silence".

"...One moment." The figure stated. They then pulled a cone-shaped earpiece from the right underside of the device, and put this in their ear. "Alright. What do you have?"

Only choosing not to speak aloud most of the time, "Silence" relayed that instead of placing a tracker on the group's ships and tailing them, a change in plans lead them to personally joining the group, and that they've collected some data on them. After this, "Silence" send over the video and audio recordings they had made.

The six-limbed figure looked at the length of all the recordings, and decided to play the shortest one - being the audio recording - first, and the rest later. As they listened to the recording, the figure tapped on their desk with a finger, cocking their head once the part of XCOM came up. What's this?

Unable to hear much of Shara's whispering, the figure increased the volume of the recording, then filtered out the background noise and Alain speaking when he did. A few more tweeks after this, and the figure could heard. The figure rubbed their chin after the recording ended, then looked back to the screen. "Well. Continue what you were doing. And your goal still stands; collect samples deemed interesting.

That is all, for now."
Closing the device, the figure cut the feed.

"Silence" shrugged while muttering something to themselves. With the link to the other world closed, the blue beam shooting up in the sky ceased.

Code:
"Any particular reason for that?"
Vicky asked curiously.
Code:
"Because it's not like no one ever thought of it."
[hr]

Code:
"Hell if I know."
Vicky answered Samus. She started walking in the direction that she had seen the beam originate from, looking back to Samus and saying,
Code:
"I'm gonna go check it out. You hold down the fort here."

The figure explained how to contact the knights, if it was mentioned on the sheet. If it wasn't, the figure simply stated that they didn't know.

[hr]

Phaesan watched Vahlen leave, then began stretching, clearly glad to be out of the suit.

"Possibly because surgery is advanced enough that complete replacement of a body part is not neccessary. The time man had to study healing magic would also work towards that." Caius answered, then shrugged lightly to himself. "But I could not say for certain. We pay the goings on in the cities minimal mind."
[hr]
Presently:
Although it was gone now, Victoria might guess the beam had originated four street blocks north-west from the ships.

The jet bike was still invissible, although Victoria may hear its engine humm, should she cross its path.
[hr]
Having reported back, "Silence" leaned onto the helm of the jet bike, wondering where they should park their bike, next. The alleyway they had parked their bike in was conveniently remote, yet close to the ships. But they thought that the longer the bike was parked in one spot, the more likely it would be someone would bump into it on accident.

Eventually setting on a location, "Silence" took off, and began heading back to into the direction the ships.

Code:
"Alright then."
Vicky said to Caius, finding his answer unsatisfying, but realizing she wasn't going to get anything else worthwhile on the subject from him.

[hr]

Vicky came to a stop, but kept her head facing in the direction she had seen the beam come from so as to not forget.
Code:
"Look, someone's gotta stay outside the box and keep a lookout in case those bastards from the television show up. Or who the hell knows what else."

Samus thought for a moment, clearly not liking this, but finding Vicky's logic to be sound. "...fine." She said.
