At Gwen's words, "Silence" clipped the pen onto the back cover of the notepad and stood up again, giving her a thumbs up. Looking to Winona, "Silence" first shrugged in response, then flipped the page of the notepad back, and pointed to the sentance "I can't say" with the index finger of their right hand.

"Do you think things have calmed down, now?" Yeul asked Caius, looking from the group, up to him.

"It would seem so. But let us give it another moment, to be certain." He answered, his eyes still on the group.

[color=003399]"Just because he hasn't done anything to hurt us yet, doesn't mean he won't in the future. And, he has been spying on us."[/color] Joel pointed out.

 

[Kirke]

You say that you cannot let "Silence" go, but you are not sure if he should be killed or apprehended. You add that on one hand, interrogating him would probably be good. But on the other, keeping him alive could be very dangerous.

 

[Chungus]

"Silence" didn't give much of a response to Joel, other then ibvissibly glance at him. Upon hearing Shara, however, "Silence" slowly moved their head towards her.

Dropping the notepad, "Silence" moved their right hand onto the hilt of their sword, and flicked the switch again. They raised their left arm towards her, and wagged the index finger, sinking onto more of a defensive stance, but keeping their sword still in the sheathe for the moment.

Joel, seeing "Silence" move their hand to their sword, did the same. Joel placed his left hand on the Murasama's grip and the right on the sheath's trigger. At the same time, he slowly began circling around "Silence".

 

[Kirke]

You keep focused on the weave of "Silence", looking straight at him. Your right hand is placed on your hip, so you are able to quickly draw it while keeping a casual posture.

 

[Chungus]

Seeing Joel reach for his sword, "Silence" warningly wagged his finger towards him as well, while slowly circling in the opposite direction as Joel did, also moving backwards, so to keep him inbetween those that relied on ranged attacks.

While he moved, "Silence" opened a link to the systems that operated their jet bike, informing them that the current mission was definitely bust, and requesting for it to move closer to their position.

Seeing both "Silence" and Joel reach for the hilts of their swords, Caius placed his hand on Yeul's shoulder again, and cued her to move back behind the tree with a gentle push. As he watched the scene played out, where some where the situation seemed to teeter-totter between beeing resolved by violence or words, Caius felt more justified in his action of keeping a secret from most of everyone else the group. A situation like this wouldn't help in the slightest, he thought.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus stepped back, hand hovering over her Paralyser, ready to jump into action if need be but far enough away that she wasn't threatening Silence.

 

[Kirke]

You tell "Silence" to stop and put his hands in the air, or you'll shoot him dead where he stands. Considering the skill of your foe, you believe any half measures to be far too dangerous.

 

[Slenn]

The Mason sisters went to the same distance as Samus was from Silence. The three of them gathered a starting bit of energy.

"I'm not liking this one bit." EMily said to the other two sisters.
<color=purple>"If he attacks, we'll incapacitate him."

 

[Chungus]

"Silence" cocked their head as Shara spoke, glancing at her, and moving their right hand away from their sword. They began slowly raising their arms, their right arm raised a bit higher then the left. They looked to be complying. But "Silence" wasn't going to take orders from Shara, or anyone else in the group.

When they moved their left arm close enough, "Silence" pressed a button on the outside of their right forearm with their thumb, making a semi-transparant grey forcefield expand around them, two whisps of energy circling around "Silence" inside the shield.

With their shield active, "Silence" shook his head towards Shara, then turned around on the ball of their left foot, and began running towards the city. They ran extremely fast, fast enough to out-run Olympic sprinters, although hardly fast enough that they're movement was untrackable by the naked eye.

Caius looked at "Silence" flee from where he stood, but made no efforts to stop them. As far as he was concerned, as long as "Silence" was gone, that's the problem solved.

 

[Kirke]

When "Silence" activates his forcefield, you draw your blaster within the blink of an eye. Deciding for quantity over quality, you lay down a fully automatic barrage of low-power blaster fire against "Silence", looking to stop him from staying upright.

 

[Slenn]

Gwen levitated and boosted the other sisters along with her to keep up with Silence. She closed her eyes to concentrate on the masses around her.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus tried running after Silence, drawing the paralyser and switching to whip mode, casting it forward like a fishing line and hoping to grab him with the energy grapple at the tip.

 

[Chungus]

Shara's shots didn't phase "Silence", or even slowed them down. They were harmlessly absorbed by the forcefield. That is, harmlessly to "Silence", as for each blast it absorbed, the forcefield shot out an electrical discharge in the form of a bolt at whoever was the closest by, which were the sisters. Samus' energy whip was met with much the same result; bouncing off, and causing an electricl discharge to shoot out at whomever was the closest to "Silence" at the time.

Seeing the city come into view behind the edge of the park, "Silence" looked towards the sisters, then gave them a wave. After this, they returned to looking straight ahead, and began running at their full speed, which triggered a small sonic boom around "Silence" when they reached their top speed.

 

[Slenn]

While in flight, EMily aimed her legs downward and forwards towards Silence to act like a lightning rod to take in the electricity. The sisters continued their chase, with Gwen increasing the speed. Winona covered her ears from the sonic boom. "Put me in front, Gwen." And the sisters shifted flight formation such that EMily was in front of the other two. With the extra electricity in her along with her starting energy, she piled it into one whopping lightning bolt intending to knock out the force field. Lightning bolts also cause EMPs if you are too close to the strike.

 

[Kirke]

As you notice your shots bouncing off the energy shield, you hold your fire. Realizing you have no hope of keeping up, you instead run to your ship and call to Samus to do the same. You are in the air within after a little more than a minute, and only after you have set your course towards the city do you look behind you to see if Samus decided to come with you.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus, reaslising she could not catch Silence on foot, took Shara's suggestion and ran onto her ship, grabbing the Zero Suit along the way. She boarded and started changing. By the time Shara looked back, Samus was just finishing zipping up the suit.

 

[Chungus]

Seeing EMily began to charge up an electrical attack, "Silence" could see what was coming. Watching her movements, they drew their sword, waited for the right moment, then tossed the sword up, it intercepting the lightning bolt, as it was a higher point then themselves. Changing direction, "Silence" looked to the sword as it was knocked out of the sky, and caught the slightly blackened sword as it fell, sheathing it again in one fluid motion.

While both the sword and "Silence's" exoskeleton had electronics in them, both pieces of equipment were shielded from EMPs, the latter more so then the former. "Silence" let out a mute scoff.

With the speed they were running at, it didn't take "Silence" long to reach the city. Rather then keep up the speed at which they ran, "Silence" slowed down to a normal running speed, approaching pedestrians moving on the sidewalk.

Two miles above "Silence", their jet bike had reached their position, still invissible. Even without activating its jet engine, the bike could easily keep up with "Silence's" top speed.

 

[Slenn]

"Don't lose sight of him in the crowd." The sisters's maintained their speed to keep watch over Silence's movements.
