We Are Our Avatars IX: Act V: The Sabotage of the Scandolous Saurian Scoundrels (Open)

Samus would find that the shield wasn't giving out, if anything it seemed to be getting larger as she continued to pelt at it with her plasma cannon. Sir Brog continued his charge unperturbed by her approach, his armour gleaming as he raised his sword again, the blade seeming to extend.

With the mention of more magic, the knight watched closely, expecting Shara to do something tricky. His mace's tip started to burn a white flame as he tightened his grip on it. When he finally saw Shara throw the bomb, he grunted as he pulled the mace up before slamming it to the ground. He would get partially blinded by the blast, but seemed to be unaffected by the noise as the ground between Shara and the knight seemed to split slightly, white flames coming from the cracks as it raced towards Shara's location. If she stayed where she was, she'd be hit with spikes from the ground and the flames that came with them. [color=Samson the Clever]"Gah! My eyes!"[/color] He roared angrily.

 

[Slenn]

Biding their time, EMily and her sisters raised their energy to the maximum. At this point it seemed eerie that two of their voices not only said the same words at the same time, but sounded identical.

<color=green>"We are ready, Gwen."
"We are ready, Gwen."

And the other remaining sister cast a time-slow field around the horse rider to impede their progress by a factor of 2.

In brilliant flash of teal light, the green and blue sisters touched each others' hands and hugged. In a moment, EWa emerged, ready to aid Samus to intercept the knight. She dashed away with the powers of the early universe in her hands, and eyes that could see through the whole of a nebula and count all of its stars that it gives birth to.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus leapt forward, the thrusters in her boots on overdrive, spinning around in midair, trying to intercept Brog with the Screw Attack.

 

[Kirke]

You slip past the outer weave of your opponent, turning and hopping to the side in one smooth motion. You aim your blaster straight at him and fire, sending a high-power blast against the knight.

 

[Zepherus14]

Following through with his strike, the knight rolled forward to avoid the shots aimed towards him. As he got back to his feet, he twisted back around to turn to his opponent, following where he heard Shara going. As he turned he swung his mace, a barrier forming in front of him to block the remain shots. [color=Samson the Clever]'Clever trick.'[/color] He thought, still listening to Shara. He brought his offhand up to his face, healing his blindness with a flash of gold. [color=Samson the Clever]'Still no bats..?'[/color]

The time-slow field would indeed slow down the knight, as it would Samus as she impacted the shield, the resulting clash almost freeze framed as the time well seemed to start to crack much like the gravity well had. While Samus' screw attack was a mighty blow, the shield which had continued to grow from her firing her plasma shots, now grew far larger still as she connected with it. As it reached its peek, it fired a equivalent force back to Samus of all the damage the shield had soaked up, sending her flying towards Ewa. Once the time well shattered the knight continued on his path, the shield dimmed for the time being.

 

[Slenn]

Gwen slowed down Samus' kickback with a reverse gravity assist. EWa moved to the side once she saw Samus slowing down. EWa dashed with her increased strength to move in front of the knight. She created a dual shield in front of her; one that both impeded progress with EM repulsion and repelled things with Z0 knockbacks. With the weak force unified with the electromagnetic, the magnitude of their strengths are the same. The feeling the knight would experience would be equivalent to a whopping boulder, the size of a large crate, pushing him back with great force.

Samus was sent flying backwards, though Gwen's help gave her a safe, soft landing. Her armour was crumbling as she sluggishly stood, wavering a bit. She switched to the scan visor, scanning the knight to figure out a way past his shield.

 

[Demonjazz]

Just as the knight had thought that there appeared Braveer from the shadows. Releasing rats from his sleeves which instantly moved towards the knight and attempted to bite, scratch and crawl over the knight. Braveer had also ran towards him with his rapier.

Eric had ended up fighting with Samus. He had stood in front of Samus, crouching with his shield held defensively.

Samus would find nothing indicating a shield, and would further result in an error as it was unable to confirm or deny the horse beneath the knight was actually there.

With EWa standing in Sir Borg's path, he had no choice but to follow through. His horse leaped off ground as it ran, condensing back into a shimmering light as Sir Borg continued through the air. As he took hold of his sword with both hands, the light orb combined with the sword making it far larger than it had been, a sheen of gold across it. He then met them in midair, swinging the blade at the shield EWa put in front of him. A blinding light shone from the clash followed by a boom.

The knight would be thrown back from the blast, tumbling backwards in the air but managing to land on his feet with a heavy thud, his sword dragging against the ground to keep himself steady. EWa's shield however would have busted too in the impact, while his own lit up again.

The bats that attacked the pigman, he snarled at his misfortune. The bats wouldn't get too far before they started to light on fire as they got too close to him. [color=Samson the Clever]"So there you are?"[/color] He said angrily.

 

[Slenn]

She rocked in place as the blast blew at her, using her enhanced strength to keep a foot hold.

EWa dismissed the shield, but gave the knight no quarter as she prepared a proton beam. Using the electroweak force to speed up beta decays on the neutrons of molecules in the air, she would have a ready supply of protons. Like the muon beam it would be penetrating and ignore the armor. But since a proton has far more mass than a muon, it would deliver a greater punch. She extended her arm forward with her palm stretched outwards containing the protons. Soon enough the faint but deadly proton beam punched through the air to deliver a blow to the knight's center mass. The knight would feel like he'd been punched by a searing cannonball tunneling through him.

Gwen stood by Samus to let her recover. She casted a time-haste field around the group near her so their recuperation time would double.

 

[Demonjazz]

Eric's shield blocked the blast from him and Samus. He wouldn't get moved by the blast due to his shield so he ran over and stood over Sir Borg with his shield in a defensive position "We got you surrounded!... Could you just give up now?" He said rather afraid.

Braveer had made several jabs with his rapier at the pigman. He of course tried to hit any exposed skin or gaps in the armour. "Yes! I see my name has become quite renowned! Tell Satan about me when you die!"

 

[Zepherus14]

Once again with his shield lit, as the proton beam came towards him it was stopped by the shield's barrier forcing it to grow larger again. EWa would have to halt her beam once Eric valiantly stepped in front of the beam to block Sir Brog from the EWa and the ship. (I really should have just had him get hit by that proton beam, be careful next time Demon.)

With his sword still impaled in the ground, Borg stood as Eric cowered behind his shield. Borg's freehand reached up, grabbed the shield Eric was using, and pulled him forwards for a headbutt. [color=Brog the Kind]"There will be no surrender for this day fallen knight!"[/color] He answered back as he then plucked his sword from the ground while keeping his shield up for EWa.

 

[Slenn]

EWa was a little surprised that the penetrating beam was absorbed by the shield. But she knew it was just absorbed, and she could withstand the rebounded attack from the shield. But it also meant that she'd have to change her way of fighting. So EWa began twisting and brutally forcing the armor around with colossal magnetic fields. Her aggressive tones were enhanced by the fact that her hands looked like she was gripping something. It was as if a stone golem was crushing his armor.

<color=purple>I will make sure this knight falls though. With all her strength Gwen created a titanic 10 g pull concentrated at Borg.

 

[Demonjazz]

When Sir Borg grabbed onto his shield, he had desperately tried to get him to let go. Trying to pull his shield away with one hand and hitting him with his large branch in the other hand. "Can't at least one world I go to, not be full of people trying to kill me!"

 

[Drakmorg]

Out of anything to say that she thought would help the situation, Victoria elected to keep quiet for the moment. She now focused herself on keeping her guard up and staying constantly aware of her surroundings. Not knowing what her enemies were capable of, she kept all of her senses open as much as she could.

 

[Zepherus14]

Eric wouldn't get much of a chance to smack Sir Borg, as he'd have gotten a helmet to the face from the headbutt. His posture by bracing himself to take hits (body weight forward instead of back), and him pulling his shield when Sir Borg grabbed it made the headbutt a quick process.

Now facing EWa again, Sir Borg was about to charge forward again when the gravity tug brought him to a knee. His armour and hand positions not allowing him to get much farther than that. His armour started to glow again as the pull started to lose its grip on him as he started to stand again. EWa's crushing force however seemed to outmatch the armour in the long run however, it only able to hand on a short time longer. The armour dimmed as it was crushed inwards, trapping Sir Borg as the walls closed in on him. Similar to how an egg could hold only so much weight before it failed, EWa was in mid squeeze as the magic holding the armour together faltered. He was dead before he hit the ground.

[color=Samson the Clever]"You bastards!"[/color] The nameless pigman snarled with fury as he noticed Sir Brog fall, having backed up slightly to bring Braveer in closer to him. [color=Samson the Clever]"You'll pay!"[/color] He roared as he then took a step forward, raising his mace in the air. With a flick of his wrist, he spun the mace once, the barrier that he'd been using for Shara by this point rotating around parrying Braveer's rapier as the knight brought his mace down towards him.

 

[Demonjazz]

Eric had fallen down from the hit but got up fairly quickly. He was a little shaken up by the brutal death of Sir Borg but went on with the battle, charging towards the pigman with his shield.
Braveer had quickly rolled out of the way of the mace and then got some sort of baseball like thing from a bag around his waist and then hurling it at the pigman and saying "Come on man! How about you just chill!" The result being the ball greatly increasing in size as a coat after coat of ice formed over it until it was about the size of a basketball with seemingly no impact on the ball's speed. The ice on the ball was also incredibly cold to the touch, Much like dry ice.

 

[Slenn]

Being in EWa, and pushing their energies to the maximum they could be each round had taxed the sisters too much. EWa stumbled for a bit, and with a screech she split into the former two sisters. Not only that, but the two of them collapsed on the ground; exhausted but only unconscious. Gwen assisted the best she could to prevent their fall from cracking their heads open, but they were still knocked out cold.

<color=purple>"Shit! I had a feeling this progressive channeling technique would bite us eventually." Gwen exclaimed as she rushed over to their aid, checking their vital signs to make sure they were okay. She made a sigh of relief as she found they were still alive. <color=purple>"I should stop using it too as well." She took a few deep breaths while she kneeled down with her sisters, and soon the bright purple shine became less aggressive in appearance. The fire from her eyes no longer present from the lack of progressive channeling.

[Kirke]

With your opponent no longer focused on you, you take a step forward and aim at the back of his head. Without saying a word you fire a heavy blast, fully expecting his head to be blown to scorched bits.

 

[Zepherus14]

Without a helmet to protect his head, and his cool busted at the gruesome fall of his comrade, the unnamed Samson's head turned into a mass of scorched giblets. The giblets flew through the air, and slapped Braveer in the face with a wet slap. The smell of bacon wafted in the air as the pigman collapsed onto the ground with a heavy thud. The baseball bat of ice would also hit his corpse, doing what it would, but not bringing much of a different end to the situation.

It would seem for the time being that the group was safe as the area soon grew quiet.
