Oh crap.
Steve held up his hands, palms outwards in a placating gesture.
"It's alright, it's alright! I wasn't saying anything, just wanted to check what you were talking about!" He lowered his hands slowly, and clasped them behind his back as he watched, waiting for Seras to calm down and gauging what she might have meant in her confused outburst.
So, uh... do you want to? Make it a date, I mean?"

The sisters stopped. They looked over at Chloe. EMily decided to play it casually, pretending they weren't hunting.

"What'cha doing up there, girl? All of a sudden I spot someone climbing up trees in this park."

Seras tried to calm herself with some deep breaths. She found she couldn't really look Steve in the eye, so she chose to focus on his chest instead. "Well I..." she started uncertainly, then cleared her throat to start again. "I don't think it will...really change anything about what we'll be doing, so...I guess I wouldn't mind...It's up to you really." she said, wanting to be as noncommittal as possible, since she was still very unsure about all of this.

Joanna moved to the treeline as EMily started to talk, where she stopped and waited to see what would happen, her fingers flexing just below the hilts of her concealed knives. There was a time when she would have been dismayed and ashamed by the unthinking hunger she felt for the woman's soul. Certainly it would have been a shock that it could come on so abruptly. For now however, there was only the hunger itself. She would have time for remorse later.

Well, I think I've screwed this up.
"Well, let's just forget about this, step out and see what happens, eh? No pressure." Steve replied, trying to smooth things out a little.

Joanna fought the urge to pace below the trees, knowing that she could do few things more obvious to indicate that they were there with ill intent for the woman. She took a series of deep breaths to keep herself in check.
"Come on, gods damn it, just let us get this over with." She muttered under her breath, hardly making an audible sound.

Faro stood behind Joanna, not really noticing anything that was going on with her.

"No pressure sounds nice." Seras said with a nod, then she smiled reassuringly at Steve and started leading him out of the ship.

Chloe looked down at the group of bounty hunters, narrowing her eyes suspiciously. "Why does it matter to you?" she asked.

"I'm not entirely sure what's playing actually." Seras said as she walked. They quickly reached the theater, which was a smaller and cheaper place that showed movies that had been out of regular theaters for a short while. At this time, only Fury, a WWII tank movie starring Brad Pitt was about to start playing. Seras looked to Steve for approval. "Does this look alright to you?" she asked.

Steve chuckled.
"It looks perfect." He took his wallet from his pocket and gestured for Seras to enter first. "Lead on."

"Oh, please, I'll pay for it. I doubt you have any pounds on you anyway." Seras said with a giggle as she paid for two tickets. She took hers, handed Steve his, then proceeded to the appropriate theater.

<color=purple>"You just stand out is all."

"Do you like the trees?"

"Not a chance! I'll pay for it, I..." Steve paused for a moment, rummaged through his wallet, then put it away sheepishly.
"Uh... yeah, actually. I've only got dollars and euros. Fair enough, I'll let you get away with it this one time." He grinned jokingly. "Thanks."

"Yeah. Why wouldn't you like trees?" Chloe asked, still eyeing the group warily.

"No problem." Seras said. She entered the theater and found a seat near the middle. They were only a few minutes early, so the show would be starting soon enough.

"I suppose I wouldn't like them if they were in the way. Or just out of spite."

<color=purple>"If I was a logger or a lumberjack, perhaps not. They cut trees down for fires, homes, and paper."

"But wouldn't you still like the trees, because they're helping you? Without them you'd be cold, homeless, and wouldn't have paper. Or a job." Chloe asked Gwen, before looking at EMily. "Spite? For trees? That's ridiculous."

<color=purple>"Yes, we still like the trees. We love them for their beauty and the fact that they provide resources. But some of the people in this world are... ignorant of the overconsumption of resources and the clearing of land for new homes. They don't realize that if we clear too much, we lose so much wildlife. Deforestation is a terrible problem wouldn't you say?"
