Alek stirred in the commander's quarters of the Imperial Eagle. The dreadnought was capable of housing a regiment of operators in its sleeping quarters, but as commander, he had certain privileges, his own private room, for one. The room wasn't very big, by most standards, room enough for a bed, a dresser, and a desk on which to work. By standards of most living quarters in the landnavy it was almost a palace unto itself. Today was the day. Probably. It would depend on what drama was going to play out and who was going to try to kill/betray whom. He pulled on his uniform, well, regardless, he wasn't going to be caught up in it. His secrets were already out. Funny, Alek thought, he believed that when his secrets were out in the open he would feel free, unburdened, perhaps even a little safer. He didn't. That wasn't surprising. Alek checked his pistol. Things were not going to go well today, he knew, it was best to prepare.
