"Excellent work Joe. Now let us get moving." Preginald and Joe re-enter the lobby. Preginald saunters up to the same security guard he talked to before and says "Alright we talked with Reno, and he said for us to tell you 'Alpha Alpha Charlie Foxtrot'. So can he head on up to meet them now?"

There was no life to be found. The last consiousness had faded from Eragon's view and his eyes opened. He would have something to say to this Joel and he set off quick as a galloping steed to where Preginald and Joe had gone. He hoped he would arrive in time.

OOC:Going off soon but just to check; are Preginald and Joe still in New Zealand or did they go to Australia? Eragon's fast but I doubt I could legitametly explain his sudden arrival in another country without Saphira.

The guard stared at Preginald. "Just let me get the security doors." He entered the booth, raised the bulletproof shields and pressed the alarm. SOLDIERs swarmed out and raised their rifles. "ON THE GROUND! ON THE GROUND NOW!"

The Merc looked around Preginald's conference room. "Anyone see a TV? We should watch the news."

OOC:Going off soon but just to check; are Preginald and Joe still in New Zealand or did they go to Australia? Eragon's fast but I doubt I could legitametly explain his sudden arrival in another country without Saphira.

OOC: They went to Australia. But a load of plot is going to happen at Preginald's fort that Eragon should be there for.

It was futile thought Eragon. Preginals machine had taken him so far that it would be impossible to catch even on dragon back. Eragon would return to the fort with the others. He needed to tell them he was willing to get involved now.

Preginald displayed his strange capacity for sighing. "I was afraid of something like this happening. I was hoping I wouldn't have to resort to this, but my hand has been forced."
Preginald summons a portal and out steps a strange insect-like robot. Preginald addresses the robot, "Model 3, dispose of these...vermin, but leave one alive, we might need him to get past the rest of the security."
Model 3 responds,"Of course master, I'll make a nice puppet for you."
Model 3 proceeds to kill all but one SOLDIER. Model 3 appears behind the remaining SOLDIER and grabs him about the neck with one arm. The palm of its other hand sprouts a drill-bit, which Model 3 uses to pierce into the man's skull. All the while the man is screaming in terror. After withdrawing the drill, Model 3 plants a microchip into the SOLDIER's head wound and he instantly stops screaming.
Preginald addressed the SOLDIER, "Now my good man, please tell us where we might find Reno and Rugal."

"T-T-Top floor sir!" the SOLDIER responds.
"Excellent, let us be on our way shall we? Preginald, Model 3 and the SOLDIER board the elevator and head for the top floor.

On the top floor, the alarm sounded. Reno and Rude had already been rushed out of the building, and the woman they were with loaded her handgun, slid it into a holster, and walked for the elevator door. The doors opened, and she greeted the two occupants warmly. "Hello, I'm Miranda. How can I help?"

Eragon entered the fort, and walked to the conference room. The Merc switched on a television he'd found, and turned on the news.
"We're here at Wellington, the scene of a tragic bombing. The explosion occurred here a few hours ago, and destroyed the city, killing all occupants. This may be connected to the recent destruction of Tokyo."
"Yes. In connection with that, Russia and Israel have released demands for a military investigation by Britain, Japan and the United States into the death of two operatives. They have threatened military action."

 

[Arrogancy]

Alek began pacing. Unfortunately, they had no way, at the moment, to get to Massachusetts in a timely manner. Well, timely for them. Traveling at extreme speeds makes one easily impatient with more conventional modes of travel, Alek thought. Still, until Preginald arrived back, he might as well do some work. He approached one of the guards. "Excuse me," He asked, "But where is the engineering room?" "Third sublevel, eighth door on your left. Follow the electric crackling and you can't miss it." "Thank you." With that, Alek set off.

Preginald stepped out of the elevator and addressed Miranda, "I'm looking for two men named Reno and Rude. You can help by telling me where they are."

Eragon made a path straight to the Merc. After their duel he had been confused as to how he aquired magic and when he saw him he asked "How do you know magic?" Eragon sat down and produced a carrot from his pouch and began eating it. He was willing to ask although if he felt the answer was inadequete he was willing to tear the information from the Mercs mind no matter the perminant harm it would cause.

"Reno and Rude? They work in the Japan office. I can phone someone there... They aren't here though."

*Sigh* "I know those two were here. I know they were on this floor. I'm certain they must have been talking with you. So I'll give you one last chance, where are Reno and Rude?"

"Sir, I can let you search this entire building and you won't find them. I haven't spoken to them, probably because the Turks are investigating the two bombings. God, don't you watch the news." the woman said, leading them into a meeting room and turning on the TV to the news report.

"Model 3, would you mind letting her know what is on the line?"
"Of course not sir."
Model 3 leaps at Miranda with imperceptible speed and grabs her by the throat. Model 3 slams Miranda against the table in the meeting room and holds out its palm, revealing a spinning drill-bit inches from Miranda's face.
Preginald hops onto the table to talk face-to-face (metaphorically speaking) with Miranda, "Last chance. Where. Are. Reno and Rude?"

Miranda glared. "HOW THE HELL SHOULD I KNOW! Honestly. You can give me a lie-detector test, scan my brainwaves, hold me at drill-point... I. DON'T. KNOW. WHERE. THEY. ARE! Why do you think I know, I'M A FUCKING SECRETARY!"
