The Merc looked up at Alastair. "Joel destroyed Wellington, which is just a few miles away. Preginald and Joe followed Reno and Rude somewhere. We should check up on them..." he said, taking the radio. "Preginald? What's happening?"
Preginald heard Joel over the intercom, "Let's see how fast you can get out of here before the building blows you to hell and back. I'll give you... a minute, because I'm feeling generous."
"Will nothing go my way on this damnable plane of existence?! C'mon Joe, we're leaving. There is nothing here for us now. Model 3, if you would be so kind?"
"Of course sir, it would be a pleasure."
Model 3 throws Miranda's corpse through the nearest window to clear the glass. Model 3 then grabs Preginald and Joe and flings them out the window before disappearing through a portal. Preginald pushes a button on his cane and his hover-DeLorean springs to life and catches Joe and Preginald shortly after they leave the building. As they speed back towards Preginald's base they can see the SOLDIER Preginald indoctrinated, waving at them and saying "Goodbye."

Alastair watched the news further. "And then the...What's that? Breaking news a building in Austrailia as been blown up police are baffled of who would have done this. More on this story toni... -static-" Alastair flicked through the channels luckily enough found the simpsons. "Ha -"Kiss my shorts"- a good show in a dark time.." Alastair glared at the TV screen longer.
Julia facepalmed. "Only Joel can communicate with Miranda. And even he can't corrupt a ghost, especially not Miranda. So, that was a fake."
Alastair noticed a flying car traveling towards the fort. "Ah our freinds our near" The car was few miles off though. Alastair began conversation with the Merc.
Eragon stopped performing the Rimgar and made his way back inside. The exersize had done wonders for not only Eragon's body but his mind just something that he could put his energy into instead of just waiting. He looked at his left had, where he wore Aren and moved a finger across the gem set in the ring. Hopefully he wouldn't need this the energy stored in Brisingr's pommel should be enough backup.

For the most part, Takashi stayed quiet and decided to think over the situation. He then snapped his fingers.

Alastair was amused by the boy. Alastair questioned "I volunteer for the next mission to...well anywhere!" Alastair clipped his sword to his belt and holstered his Scar-H and his revolver. He took his helment off showing his blood-soaked face the left side of his face was still partially there but now his skull was showing. He put his 2 fingers to his face and soaked them in blood before putting war paint on the eye's of his helmet. It looked like the helmet was crying blood.
