"I only take passing glances at peoples minds I never go in to deep unless they are an enemy as the experience can be as painful as I want it to be." Switching to speaking in Joe's mind he continued. "I can speak into your mind and catch glimpses of memories, thoughts or intentions but I could read it clearly and even control it if I siezed control of it." Never breaking his meditation Eragon continued "You are thinking if I really can read minds and yes I can but your mind is quite unfocused, fast and muddled...its difficult to hold a thought down and understand it when moving this erraticaly." Joe thought for a moment. There was a cyclone of questions he could ask, or... think in this moment.

The barrage of thoughts was muddling for Eragon, if he was trying to take over Joe's mind it would be easy with such a chaotic mind but for a simple demonstration he could do little but observe the flashes of thought that zoomed around him. The most prevelant thoughts came through however and Eragon began once more in his mind "Blue, depends and I've never heard of 'english' or 'japanese' before"
OoC: I would have thought that Joe's mind would be hard to control, being so chaotic it would be hard to pin down.

OOC: How mental battles work in Eragon is an opponent can 'leap' from one thought to another and gradually bring a persons mind under their control however if a persons mind is focused on one idea or image it creates a mental barrier and since its only one thought there is no way past it to get at the inner part of a persons mind but a really powerful mental 'jabs' can sometimes shatter defenses and fragment thoughts which allows people a foothold in their minds as can a stray thought that provides a gap in the mental barrier.
OoC: In the way, ya Joe is screwed... but in the conventional sense I still think he is actually pretty secure against mind control.
"I must rest" said Eragon in Joes mind before his conciousness faded from the edge of joes mind, "I don't think Joel will be expecting this" He thought into Joes mind. Eragons conciousness then spread out once more as he settled into a passive meditative state. He could still feel Joes mind just not in the detail that he had when he was at its edge.
OoC: Although it would be kind of neat to get mind controlled... =P Joe could throw some serious wrenches into the works.
If there is a chance for it to happen, I'm good for Joe to get mind controlled, Omega could stay with the others, but Joel wouldn't be able to suppress ALL of Joe's thoughts. But if that happens, I'm getting caught with a bang, lots of rocket launchers and stuff.
