Seeing that his bullets had no effect, Preginald says, "Well, time for another tactic."
A portal appears in the room and a strange robot steps out. "Model 4, kill this thing for me would you please?"
Identifying Jack, Model 4 says"You called me here for this? Hardly seems like a fitting challenge. But I'll kill it all the same."
Model 4 leaps at Jack and attempts to slash him with its claws.

Model 4's attempt to slash Jack with it's claws ends with it's arm laying on the floor.
"Hah! It is only a wound of the flesh!"
Model 4 try's to swipe at Jack with it's other hand, but it quickly joins the other on the floor of the lecture hall.

"Perhaps I underestimated this one. This should be fun after all."
Model 4 kicks at Jack's hand, attempting to force him to drop his sword.

The sword fly's and embeds itself in the wall above Preginald. The sword pulses, and appears back in Jack's hand, slashing at Model 4. The robot back steps, but no quickly enough, and a deep diagonal cut is made on his chest

Sparks fly off from the cut on Model 4, while the cut was deep, Jack failed to hit anything important. "Well damn. Looks like I'm going to have to get serious here." Mechanical tendrils sprout from the joints where Model 4's arms were attached. The tendrils make their way towards Model 4's severed arms and attach. The arms are then dragged back to Model 4 and attached back into their joints. From Model 4's palms blades spring out, and it assumes a defensive stance.

Jack growls, and sets off with a flurry of slices, swipes and stabs. Model 4 try's and succeeds to to block some of the blows, but the sheer amount overwelms the robots defences, and it is downed by a final decapitation, the head flying off and landing a Preginald's feet.
"Apologies sir, I [sub]have [sub]faile-[/sub][/sub]"
The head emits a shower of sparks, and grows silent.

Seeing his soldier cut down so easily disheartened Preginald, "Shit. I uh, think I'll leave this one to you lot, I'm...gonna go wait in the bus." Preginald makes a mad dash for a nearby window and leaps out, smashing through the glass.

The Merc had to react fast. He sprayed a wall of ice, catching the C4's blast. "What the hell are you doing? You could've killed us!" he yelled, before shooting a wave of flame at Jack.

 

[Knife-28]

As the C4 explodes, there is a green flash behind Hunter. He turns, to find Jack standing there unharmed.

Eragon had felt the wolf-creature appear due to his mental tag but it was at such speed he could not mount a serious counter attack. As he approached the twisted mind of the attacker, whose name Eragon had gleaned as Jack Noir from his mind. Jack had outmatched Preginalds minion as Eragon arrived.

He drew Brisingr in a blue flash and shouted both verbally and mentally at the creature "Jack Noir!" Setting a ready stance Eragon said calmly "I'll let you have first swing" There was no need to dull his blade, this would be a fight to the death.

OOC: Been itching for a proper swordfight for ages and it seems I got back just in time.

Jack Noir turned to the newcomer, the one who knew his name. As they began their deadly dance of swings and parrys, Jack asked over the din of the clashing weapons, "Who are you human, and how do you know my name?"

OOC: The intention to kill really I don't want either of our characters killed off yet...yours is mysterious and mine has a whole sort of arc I've been planning.

Without breaking concentration Eragon answered his foe in his mind "I am Eragon Shadeslayer, Shur'tugal and I gleaned your name from your mind" He continued his flurry before pausing briefly. This creature was good; almost as strong as him and just as fast and he had never fought a style like this before. The violent exchange resumed and Jack thrust forward with his sword, reacting instantly Eragon played his own sword along the length of the blade in a flourishing motion, nocking the blade aside. With practiced grace Eragon carried the movement forward, his footsteps flowing and brought his saphire blade slashing backhanded in a wide arc, squarley aimed for the torso of his unprotected opponent.

Jack disappeared and then reappeared behind Eragon, generously giving him time to turn around before he resumed his attack.
You read my mind like a book do you. Well then see how you like this.
Jack opened up his memories, blasting Eragons mind with images of army's being slain, planets crumbleing, even an entire universe being destroyed, all by his hand.

OOC: And I'm back.

Will had fallen asleep, but was suddenly woken up by the sound of battle (that's the best explanation I got). Seeing the strange creature from before was attacking Eragon Will stood and drew his saber and revolver. Seeing that the two were in a fierce struggle, Will decided to wait of the right opportunity to strike.

OOC: Do you think we could manage a two on one sword fight?

And I changed it a little.

Eragon threw up his mental barriers at the barrage of memories, focusing soley on an image of the quill in his pocket. Jack Noir was a deadly opponent and swordplay wasn't going to be enough alone. Eragon anticipated Jack's strategy and his lightening reactions kept up as he wheeled almost instantly to deflect a flurry of blows. Recieving a blow across the flat of his sword Eragon raised his free arm and said "Thrysta" Jack was hurled back by a blast of kinetic force. Eragon then sprang towards Jack like a panther and began assaulting his mind as well as his physical body. As their blades crossed once more Eragon sent a jolt of mental energy at Jack. While Jack's mind was strange and terrifying it was not defended against a disiplined mental assault.

However before Eragon could wrestle control of Jack's mind from him he came across a memory of a green library. His eyes widened and his guard dropped as he withdrew his mental attack. Jack saw the opening and swung for Eragon but Eragon's wards turned the blade aside. The drop in hi strength brough him back to the fight and he quickly began exchaning blows. After Eragon riposted a deflected attack he managed to say "You have been to the library" his voice was in both shocked and frightened. "Are you the creature that dwells within the library?" Eragon asked as he ducked a swing to return one of his owm.

OOC: I was in the middle of writing mine for awhile so I wouldn't have seen yours until I posted...also knife took awhile to respond last time so just give it time.

Jack ignored the other human and focused on Eragon. "No, I am not." He said as he deflected Eragons swing. Jack had underestimated him, his mental attacks where a surprise, as where his magical abilities. "Why does it interest you?" He asked, swinging at Eragons chest, if not to wound him, then to knock him of balance.
