Eragon realised he knew little of his companions besides what he had gleaned from their minds. He decided to broach a grim topic to test the mental fortitude of his companions. "I know many of us here are killers." He said grimly. "Tell me, how many men are you responsible for the deaths of and more importantly were you right to take their lives?" Eragon asked those on the bus as it took off.
Dromaeus took a journal from his satchel and started to flip through it. After a while he put it away.
"650, give or take a few for miscalcuations during the heat of battle. More if you count animals, dragons, undead, whatever else. Apart from some animals, all would have taken my life given the chance."

The Merc looked up. "Fuck knows. Maybe 20 confirmed kills. Probably more. I don't count what happened in Afghanistan. They all instigated." Yeah, you don't count it because you didn't kill anyone.

OOC: Well, I'm assuming that was mostly from the Stormcloak-Legion war campaign. Given that your character attacks forts, cities and encampments, I'd say the figure is reasonable for a frontline soldier who fought at pretty much every conflict, not to mention your other crap. I'd just run with 'Was a Stormcloak/Legionary'.Random berk said:

OOC: Heh. Will probably has the highest kill count technically. Depending on what your definition of "responsible for" is.
Joel heard Preginald's number and took out a spliff. "Here here! So, you're in the lead, then either Artie or the General, then Lieutenant Pussy-Balls and finally myself. But only because of Artie!"
OOC: I'll say that as leader of the Dark Brotherhood and an ex-Companion, that racked up my kill count quite a bit. So yeah, 650 mortal kills.
The ease at which Dromaeus dismissed the deaths of so many was shocking to Eragon. Joel had killed fewer than expected but dealt with it like a cold hearted killer. The Mrc was equally indifferant. In response Eragon said "I have killed countless men and Urgals all to overthrow one madman back in my world." He said solemly. "Did you achieve what you were seeking? and was it worth taking a life?" Eragon was interested to see where the morals of his companion lay.
"I don't brag about my military career...but I am most certainly ahead of Arti, considering I sacked many cities." Will said. "My side of won the war, and I'd say...yes it was worth it."
"Yeah Will, but did you personally kill an entire city leaving no survivors on your own? Artie did. And to answer your question, no. Artie stopped me, the ass."
