Eragon broached the subject further. "Forgive me Thom but while shielding ones mind is indeed a skillful action, making it undetectable is practicaly impossible."

Mat stared at Eragon for a moment. The man was a channeler, and likely going mad. He already knew that Mat had something that was protecting him, and there was little he could do to deny that. Reluctantly, Mat pulled up the silver medallion he had tied around his neck. It was a fox-headed medallion with the symbol of the ancient Aes Sedai emblazoned on the eye, one half dark, one half light.

OOC: Not exactly it, but close enough.

Eragon gazed at the amulet. There was likely an enchantment on the necklace that prevented Eragon's magic from working. "Ah!" Exclaimed Eragon. "Forgive my persistance I just wished to know how you were performing such an action, I meant no ill will, on my word as a rider." Eragon then repeated the oath in the Ancient Language. "Vel eïnradhin iet ai Shur'tugal"

"I'm not performing anything." Mat said. He slipped the medallion back down his shirt and readjusted his scarf. In many ways he hated the thing. It was given to him by the Eelfin, right before he died, right before he'd made a terrible bargain. "You say you're a rider, Eragon." Mat said, distracting himself "A rider of what, specifically?"

A dragon rider? "Dragonsworn?" Mat asked. "Siswai'aman?" That was what the Aiel called themselves. Spear of the Dragon. It was a term that was used exclusively with Aiel. It wasn't so unlikely. There were always new idiots cropping up everywhere. The Cairheinen had been copying the Aiel since the city had been recaptured. Mat also knew that Rand had been gathering men who wanted to learn to channel. He couldn't conceive of why anyone would want to, but apparently they did. If they wanted to learn the One Power, that was fine with him, so long as they stayed far away. When they went mad, he didn't want to be within a hundred miles of them.

"I am no 'Dragonsworn' as you put it, my dragon Saphira hatched for me when I found her egg and I've been her bonded partner ever since, she is lost in this world somewhere however and I need to find her." His face turned grim "Seperating a dragon from its rider puts great mental strain on the both...I miss her deeply"

Separating a dragon from its rider? "What if the rider would rather not be with the dragon?" Mat asked. That wasn't a question strictly for Eragon, he knew. He could still feel...something...pulling at him. Vaguely, he was aware that it was Rand. The most powerful ta'verren in an age pulling at the other two extremely powerful ta'verren.

"A dragon would never choose a rider who would not want to be around them." Eragon said "Dragon riders are bonded to their dragon until death. Its a form of magical contract. I and Saphira share an ancient and powerful bond, there is nothing in any world that means more to me than her and this mark on my palm signifies that." He raised his palm to Thom so he could see the Gedwëy ignasia on his hand; A silver mark that twisted around his palm to the beginning of his arm.

Alastair walked round the perimeter of the park. As he watched he saw a figure rise up to him. It was Dromaues. "Ah, Hi. Old freind." Alastair said. He dared not make eye contacted as he still gaurded the area. He longed for Joel to appear. "How are you?" Alastair asked. Alastair didn't want to reply even if Dromaues talks back. He fell to the floor and began to practise the word. "Ark hu nash jai huh yak. lom lum lop. " As he said those final words the area around Alastair began to turn greener. "A enviromental spell. I only use it if i think the place is trashed. tell nobody i can do this." Alastair said as he began to walk towards Xavier.

OOC: Want Joel to come to park.

Mat snorted, "I've see a mark like that before." Too many. It reminded him of the Dragon symbols on Rand's arms. "Bonded til death, eh? There's no other way around it?" Not that Mat held out hope for any. He was in too tightly with Rand and his bloody prophecy and Tarmon bloody Gaidon.

OOC: Joel isn't in this universe. I did an Immy to try and wrap up the plot because it's nonsensical and confusing.

Preginald jumped through a portal into the room with Joe. "I heard a scuffle and thought I might...come to...help...you Joe." Preginald was distracted by the giant red button in the room. It caught his attention the same way a mountain of gold covered with diamond snow would. He gazed upon the button, enraptured by its power and beauty. As though not in his right mind, Preginald shuffled towards the button, intent on pressing it and learning its secrets.

Takashi watched the group for a time. Now that he had a moment to look at everyone, he recognized Ezio as the protagonist from the last two Assassin's Creed games. If Kohta were here with him, he'd probably shit himself at the idea. Unfortunately with no one to translate, Takashi was once again left out of the conversation.

He decided to pass the time working through some techniques with his trench knives. He wore them under-handed and ran through a few one-two punch combinations for moving in for some slashes, his feet moving in a simple V formation that began to move him in various directions.

Meanwhile, in Japan

Koichi Shido was at the mercy of a feral Takashi one moment and the next moment in the arms of the school nurse, Shizuka Marikawa the next. It was confusing at first, there were no zombies in this world and the people who usually held distain for him loved him dearly.

In time, Koichi realize that he must be in a different world completely. This world's Koichi Shido was a kind man who worked to undo the evils of his family's misdeeds. He was married to Shizuka who nursed him back to health, helped Kohta Hirano through his problems with bullies and cooperated with Detective Miyamoto, earning his daughter Rei's trust and respect.

While Koichi came to be disgusted by his counterpart's weakness and kindness, he found himself in a favorable position. And when Tokyo was bombed and talk of a possible nuclear war surfaced, he worked at gathering support of those whose trust he never earned.

As Koichi stood at an assembly of his supporters that grew with the passing minutes, he managed to supress a sadistic grin. Part of him wondered if the Takashi from his world was here too. And if he was, the boy would be in for quite the surprise.

((OOC: Not sure how much I can do with this since it would seem we won't be in Japan for quite some time. But meh, I needed to introduce Takashi's antagonist eventually))

OOC: So is Joel coming back again? I really wanted to kill him.
OOC: nope. that plot is over.

OOC: Can we say Joel says were going to die by nuke he's launching soon?
he isn't launching any nukes.

if you really want, I can actually start World War Three, but that will make literally everything very hard. so, if you want, I can have Britain and some unknown American guy declare non-nuclear war on Russia.

Dromaeus approached Mat and Eragon, at a loss for anything else to do. He had walked up and down the streets, wondering if it was worth breaking into any of the buildings, but although they all claimed to be stores selling the highest value goods available, it all looked like worthless detritus to him.

"You speak as if you have had experience of dragons as well, Thom. It is strange to think that they are so common between worlds, given everything that is different."

OOC: Never mind I just need someone to come into conflict with which will most likely be Mat or Preginald (if he saw me get Glaedr's eldunari out) because without a common goal Eragon is pretty much gonna have to head out alone to find saphira
