If the situation had gotten any worse I was going to order my snipers to put him down with an anti material rifle. That's a gun used to destroy tough, heavily armoured targets, it can shoot through vehicles and solid walls and stuff." She explained. "Anyway, I never caught your name earlier."

Mu laughed. "You might be able to best Gamma, but I doubt even someone who could do that would be able to best Gamma and Upsilon. Just a word of warning."

The tall blue armoured alien by Shepard's side chuckled at the Delta soldier's confident statement.
"That Widow rifle might have made a good effort at it."

"My name is Eragon Shadeslayer, I am a Dragon Rider." He bowed in the manner of elvish greeting. "and I have fought bigger than Gamma." He added.

"Size doesn't matter. I'm barely taller than you and I fucked Gamma up." Upsilon explained.

Eragon agreed with Upsilon "Were you to look at me at first glance you would not see me a threat. No the most deadly opponent I fought was about the same height as me." He said.

"Commander Kate Shepard, though you already knew that." She jerked a thumb over her shoulder at her squadmate. "And this is Garrus Vakarian." Garrus nodded an acknowledgement. Both listened as the conversation went on, agreeing with the remarks of size.

OOC: I can't believe how slow it is tonight. Even with the thread failing the last few nights, we still got through several pages a day.

Eragon rubbed his shoulder. "You don't strike me as swordsmen but would you perhaps engage in a sparring match?" Eragon enjoyed his bouts with those of this place as he learned a great deal and enjoyed the physical activity but also enjoyed that the aim was not to kill the opponent. "You could use whatever weapons your comfortable with, I've yet to be pushed to my limit in my time here." Eragon directed his question to those around him.

"Sorry, I've never held a sword in my life." Shepard said. "I don't know anyone who has. I'm fairly handy in hand to hand combat, as is Garrus, and a few other members of my crew that are still on the Normandy."

OOC: That'd be an even more one sided fight than the one between Eragon and Dromaeus. Shepard and Garrus could easily take on a normal human in a fistfight, probably even someone like Gamma, but not Eragon, even with Shepard's biotic powers.

Upsilon looked over at the Merc's sword. "I guess I could try... haven't used a blade in a while." he said, walking over to the blade. "Word of warning: I'm pretty damn good."

Shepard grabbed a chair and sat facing the area that Eragon had been clearing. She had never seen a swordfight before except in old vids, and was intrigued. Garrus did the same.

Eragon was delighted at the response. "I should hope so Upsilon." Eragon held out his hand and motioned to Upsilon to hand over the blade. "I have a spell that dulls the blades of our swords so that we don't kill eachother." Once he had cast the spell he handed the sword back before drawing Brisingr, the magnificent blue sword shone in the light. He cast the spell over his own sword and then struck his familiar ready stance. "Shall you attack first of shall I?" He asked.

"You take the first strike. You're fucked, but go ahead." Upsilon circled Eragon, twirling the blade. Two yellow lights flicked on on his ankles, and his armour began compressing. "Flight Mode ready Upsilon."

Eragon started briskly towards Upsilon and swung a simple arc overhead at the armoured man as his suit began to change. Maybe this man had some tricks up his sleeve. Eragon wouldn't resort to reading his attacks mentally yet and so he hoped his attack would prompt a response for him to react off.

Upsilon grabbed the blade, pulled it aside and fired himself into a backflip, still grasping the sword.

Outside the restaurant Travis noticed Eragon and one of the mercenaries fighting. Travis threw a large wad of cash on the table to pay the check and ran outside, knocking over several bus-boys and waiters on the way out. Once outside he shouted to the two fighting men, "You guys having a sparring match or something? Cuz if so, I call dibs on a fight with the winner!"

The small dragon gulps, and goes to a trapdoor set out of sight in the back of the library. He descends, travelling along a rough hewn stone corridor to a giant underground cavern. Despite the it's size, the caverns soul occupant, a magnificent blue dragon, is still cramped. Saphira turns to the smaller dragon with a venomous look in her eyes.

I haven't read the books in a while, so do you wanna write Saphira's dialogue?

Eragon was pulled through the air by Upsilon, who had simply grabbed his sword. Eragon kept a hold of the blade before spinning through the air with Upsilon. His great strength made sure he held on and he used the momentum of Upsilon's action to twist his body into a graceful kick, striking Upsilon in the chest and loosening his grip on Brisingr. Still in the same movement he wrenched the blade from Upsilon's arm, twisted and fell back to the ground and landed nimbly on his feet. Eragon smirked as he flourished his sword in front of him looking up at Upsilon.

"Nice trick." He said. "But lets see how your actual sword play is." With that Eragon leapt up towards Upsilon with inhuman speed and slashed viciously at his chest. There was nothing lazy about this second strike, it was fast and had a fair amount of Eragon's power behind it. Were Upsilon to block it he would be sent flying and were he to dodge it Eragon would simply follow with more strikes.

Upsilon grinned. He might just be as fast as me... "Pump it in." Upsilon raised his blade to block the sword, but was launched into the air. He was stunned, but fired his boosters. "Good hit..."
Upsilon dived at Eragon, landed, and sliced at him. Too slow... he thought, and threw the sword into the air before letting loose a flurry of punches faster than a human eye could see.
