Omicron rushed over to Shepard, firing on the Chaos as he did. "Commander, are you all right? Difficulty breathing or speaking?" he asked.

Lambda looked at Will's soldiers. "Good job. But... WE NEED A HEAVY WEAPONS UNIT OVER HERE!" she bellowed in the captain's face.

 

[Random berk]

"I'm fine, thanks. My hardsuit held up ok, and I slotted him before he could put any pressure on." As she spoke she saw Alistair running towards the banner.

"Jesus. ALISTAIR, GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!!!" She looked up, expecting the Normandy to come screaming out of the clouds at any moment.

Sofia was helping too next to Xavier they were fighting, keeping the marines back from shepard. Xavier spotted Alastair running down the alley way. "Shepard!" He bellowed before getting ready to advance and set up a choke point on the Chaos.

"Uh...uh...OH! I think there should be a mechanized unit not too far from here." the captain said as he got on his radio and called in the support. Soon the rumble of treads could be heard as four M1 Abrams came rolling down the street. As they received their orders they began firing into the chaos marine ranks.

OOC: Close quarters fighters may want to get out of the way.

 

[Arrogancy]

Mat's biggest concern dashing about the battlefield was avoiding getting hit. Though he was a notoriously good fighter, he preferred to spend most of his battles far away from anything that could kill him. A car blew up nearby. These bloody things seemed more interested just random destruction than having any real goal. It was somewhat funny, in a way, Mat had always imagined that Tarmon Gaidon would play out something like this. Only he'd be surrounded by more soldiers. Another one of the monsters came close, Mat threw a dagger at it, it might as well have been a gust of wind for all the good it did. It attempted to shoot at him with its weapon, fortunately, it was having some difficulty, enough for Mat do dash forward and strike it down landing the blows hand, chest, knee in that order. He was glad that the spear had been made with the One Power, a normal spear wouldn't even crack the surface of that armor.

A chaos marine spotted the tank and began to crawl over it. He entered through the barrel and killed the 2 engineers so silently you could hear nothing. Satisfied he went off to kill the rest of the tanks.

The Normandy dropped into Earth's atmosphere before activating its thrusters and flying towards New York at a speed that would leave any jet behind. Joker worked on a holographic interface, lining up the Normandy with the exact coordinates Shepard had given him.
"Here we go. Garrus, hit 'em with the Thanix cannon!" At several miles up, the main gun extended it barrel, and fired a stream of superheated lead at the target with almost the same muzzle velocity as the gun on a Everest class dreadnought. The Normandy levelled out and waited for feedback.
"Shepard, did we get them?"

A chaos marine spotted the tank and began to crawl over it. He entered through the barrel and killed the 2 engineers so silently you could hear nothing. Satisfied he went off to kill the rest of the tanks.

OOC: You know the barrel diameter on an M1 Abrams main gun is only 120mm in diameter, right?

In time, a group of people began to appear and fight off the strangely armored monsters. Escotto started to look annoyed as he gulped another bit of booze.

"HEEEeeeEEEyyy! Pish off, dis be my fight, you fuckin pussies!" He slurred and stumbled about.

One of the marines appeared behind Shepards group and before either side could act, Escotto suddenly jumped at it and began to spin furiously like a drill and slammed into its face.

While the blow didn't actually harm the Chaos Marine, it did stun it and knock it down. Escotto then looked at the assembled women

"Hey dere preetty ladiez, howz about a ride wid Eshcotto??" He asked

Xaviers ears popped as he arose to see a marine gripping Sofia by the neck. "NO!" Xavier said as he lungd at the man. Lord Bloddlet! He recognzed the face. Xavier engaged the beast with all of his might but then he stopped motionless. Bloodlet felt his rear. " A SPEAR!" Bloodlet let out a scream of pain before returning t his master grabbing his ass whilst doing so.

Krylln laughed and so did the marines around him. "What pain could you inflict on me that I have not experienced in my 300 years of combat?" He laughed again before revving the chain axe menacingly again. The Havok champion returned and looked at Krylln. "Enemy ship coming in Champion." Krylln turned to the Havok and said "Deal with them, Matraxx and Glorth have both fallen. Lord Bloodlet will not be pleased and neither will....the sorcerer." The Havok departed with his heavy weapon equipped brothers to take down this ship. Krylln turned to the other marins still there. "There is still much glory to be had. For Chaos!" He roared and directed the shouting and screaming marines to the nearest battle.

OOC: This should keep you on earth Random for Plot anyway.

Eragon landed next to Shepard. His sword was coated in blood and Saphira let the limp body of a dead marine fall from her mouth mangled. "These are tough foes." He said. "They seems to feel no pain and fear no death. I came to check on you. Are you all right?"
Eragon said from atop Saphira.


OOC: No Jaguar the chaos gods never leave the warp for just one measly planet. In the rare millenia that the might venture from the immateria it is only to claim the soul of a particularly just warrior or to bring an entire galaxy too its knees. My anatagonis will be hinted at but he will return later. Chaos bolter rounds can easily shear through a tank Jaguar there is no need for a marine to sneak up to them.

Shepard whirled around to see some drunken lout leering at her. Before she could react, Eragon and Saphira landed.
"I...think we're alright for now. They are hard to take down though."

OOC: Whoa, whoa. You're going to shoot down the Normandy?

OOC: The first part of Fain's last scene was in thought. Everything after the second 'because' was actually spoken.

"I believe I warned you of this problem." Fain said, "Should you reconsider, I'll find you." He marched back to the creature that had stayed in the shadow of the building at his orders, unnoticed. "Follow them," He ordered the Myrdraal, "Keep out of sight. I want to know what they are up to." Not that it particularly mattered, but they would make such useful pawns.

OOC: Ignore it Chaos marines despise sneaking and their weapons can easily penetrate a tanks armour (Being pretty much miniture nukes and all) I don't plan to destroy the ship only take it to the ground.

Shepard glanced over Eragon's shoulder as the Normandy completed its strafing run.
"No, Joker. Somehow, he's still alive. What the hell?"
"Alright, we'll come around and try to... ah, shit!"

The Normandy shuddered as some sort of ground to air artillery landed a glancing blow. Joker glanced at the diagnostics panel and saw the kinetic barrier reduced to 30%

"Ah, shit!" Another shot was fired, and the outer left engine went red.
"Shit,shit, SHIT!!!" The Normandy became sluggish and skewed to one side, disappearing from view over the New York skyline.

Soooo we've been fighting the 'normal' marines so far and now they are bringing out the 'big guns'...

Alastair was alone wiping his chainsword. He was next to the warehouse where alot happened. He smiled and looked towards the ground. His Katana! He picked it up beofre hearing a sream and watching a hand reach through a hole in the wall.

"RETREAT WE ARE DEFEATED THEY KNOW OF HIM!" Bloodlet said as he approached the alley way.

"JOKER!!!" Shepard pushed Eragon aside and rushed past with her squadmates with her, charging through the chaos marines ranks and slaughtering them with close ranged shots and biotic attacks. She could see the trail of smoke where the Normandy went down, and desperately tried to fight her way through so that they could run for the crash site.

Eragon and Saphira looked over at the remaining marines as they rallied behind a large figure. "This could be trouble" He said readying himself.

Lord Bloodlet strode through the carnage. Scattered marines, Krylln's squad and Laarz's Havoks were all that were left of his warband he had brought with him. His bulky terminator armour, easily a millania old thundered as he strode to where those who had decimated his marines stood.
A great Daemon greatsword crackled and danced with eldritch energy and he aimed it at the group. "Come, fight me mortals." His voice echoed with great power and carried the weight of one of the chosen of the dark gods.

OOC: BOSS FIGHT. Bloodlet is wearing tactical dreadnought armour, (Search Chaos terminators) which render him all but invulnerable to most attacks. I'll do my best control Eragon and him at the same time but I'm heading out to the pub shortly so I'm trying to wrap up this invasion.
