Garrus nodded sympathetically.
"Its ok. I think I get the gist." He took his hand away from his pistol and sat down against the wall beside Royce.
"You know, I used to lead a team of men myself once. We were mercenaries... vigilantes, really. We fought the gangs of a city called Omega, some of the worst scum you could ever meet. It was a good team. They were good men. But I wasn't cut out to lead. In the end, I made a stupid mistake. They all died for it." He ran a hand over his frill of long crest spines.
"Their faces haunted me for a long time. I couldn't shake off my guilt. Couldn't convince myself that their blood wasn't on my hands. I stayed on Omega for months after that. Expected to die there. Hell, I guess I hoped for it."
Shepard gaped at Knife incredulously.
"How could there... never mind, I'm sure it won't make sense. What happened to it?"

Shepard gaped at Knife incredulously.
"How could there... never mind, I'm sure it won't make sense. What happened to it?"
Vincent looked around. "Who may have met Preginald? Wait... Cork. One of those domes. It was reported to have appeared in Cork. I think that's where he is." he said.
Alastair approached Vincent. "Preginald. He helped us. Then bent us over and fucked us." He said before jumping off the Normandy.
The Eldar trained their sites on the horseman and Xanis was notified. Leaving the majority of his force hidden he approached the rider flanked by the two Howling Banshees.
"Who has a mobile phone?" Vincent asks, writing a number on a piece of paper. "Phone this if you find out anything about Preginald." he says, offering the paper.
OOC:I'm surprised Royce isn't at all freaked out by Garrus's appearance. He actually looks almost as intimidating as some of the Chimera.
"Thing is, blaming yourself does nothing for their memory. Its better to complete the job that they died for, so that their sacrifice was worth something, and afterwards, to remember them as the men you knew, not as whatever bloody nightmares you see them as now. Give yourself a purpose, and work towards it, and eventually you can tell yourself that they'd forgive you for whatever mistakes you made. It's hard, but what other choice do you have? Garrus stood and offered his hand to the man who was still huddled on the floor.

"Well, thats ok then. Can't have something like that crawling about the place."

When Xanis looked into the Marauders eyes it confirmed his fears. Chaos. "You bear the taint of the Dark Gods human. You will die." With that Inaeun drew his scope to his eye and prepared to fire on the rider.
Vincent handed Knife the paper, then walked to the cargo bay. He flew, his cloak flapping behind him, for Cork.
Several invisible figures watched as people exited the Normandy. [color=dark red]"We have spotted the targets. Move to engage?"[/color] one of them said over a radio, quiet enough that no one nearby could hear. "No not yet. Continue to keep an eye on them, I need to know what they are doing at all times, so maintain radio silence and use those sight broadcasters." Preginald responded. [color=dark red]"Understood."[/color] The figures crept aboard the Normandy with no one being the wiser.
The Model 15 is primarily designed for covert ops. They are equipped with highly advanced cloaking mechanisms that, similar to the Model 3, make them nearly impossible to detect, especially if you don't know to be looking for them. They are also equipped with sight broadcasters, meaning they are also essentially mobile security cameras. They are primarily focused on close-combat. Their energy blades can cut through most substances. They are also armed with claws that administer paralyzing agents.

Inaeun lowered his rifle at Xanis' unseen command. "Such arrogance foul creature." Xanis strode forward and readied his spear.

OOC: I think Royce is beyond being scared by anything considering what's going on inside his head.
Royce raised his head and stared at the far wall. "C-c-corporal Royce Maine..." he said without moving any more. He was conflicted. One part of him wanted to tell the story, but the other part of him was deathly afraid of what this man would say...what he would do. Eventually he came to the conclusion that if he didn't tell someone, he was going to go insane. "I...think I can tell you w-w-what happened..." he said. then, in a somewhat more stable voice continued, "My group had just come off two consecutive missions, so we got some R&R time. That was rare for SPECTER teems, but we had taken heavy casualties, so they sent us out to a little base out in New Mexico. It was always hot, and there wasn't much to do, but it was a least quiet. That lasted for about a week. Then...then we were attacked." he began the story as he remained motionless, still giving the ships wall a thousand yard stare.
