Red wandered around the ship, and bumped into a man without depth. "Sorry there laddie. It's just so amazing here..." Cait said to him.
Joe #12 looked over at the red tiger/hyena thing. "Oh it's no problem! So what universe are you guys from?"
Xanis strode towards the twisted abomination and thrust his spear forward, twisting out of the attack and slashing for the daemonic appendage.
"Well you know, I'm from the 2D realm, Shepard is from another universe, those alien guys are from somewhere different..."
OOC: I'm going to write this next part as if it were happening in real time, but Royce is actually just explaining it all.
Royce was walking back to the barracks after getting some food with Dion and Julian, the teams sniper. They walked back, laughing and talking about their respective homes. Suddenly explosions ripped through a building near them. Before they could run for cover the rest of their teem came streaming out of the barracks. "Get to the armory! Lets go go go!" Shouted Lieutenant Arlen. They all did so, and once they and other groups of soldiers had gathered there the base's commander addressed them quickly. "Alright listen up! The Chimera are attacking and this base is home to a secret research lab. We can not allow any of our tech fall into enemy hands. Now, I want SPECTER teem 220 to go into the labs and destroy anything that could be used against us. Everyone else, get back out there and fight those bastards." The men all went about preparing.
"Right, 220. Pack as much ammo and explosives as you can carry." Sergent Finn ordered. Then Arlen split up the teem into several groups and gave them sectors of the lab to clear. Royce got paired up with Dawson, the heavy weapons handler. They all set out.

Xanis blocked the axe, spun and drove his spear through the chest of the marauder. The physcic weapon tore through his chest and erupted out the back of the Maruader. "Such filth, your reward is your death" He pushed the Marauder of his spear with his foot.
OOC: Not in a barren wasteland anyway. We're at West Point in the USA, which I believe is somewhere on the SouthEast coast.

OOC: West Point is actually about 20-30 miles up the Hudson from Yonkers. And it's a city surrounded by forest.
Xanis recovered from the blow and turned to face the warrior, his long hair flowing. He attacked with the Singing Spear, dodging and parrying blows.
