The Model 8 became infuriated at Vincent's dodging ability, "RRGH! I'll show you why you should be scared of me!" it said as it rapidly fired both homing missiles and several bolts of plasma at Vincent.

After Shepard had left, Skantis projected his voice into the room in such a manner that his correct location could not be properly ascertained from it (Skantis is a veteran covert-ops professional, so he picked up ventriloquism). The runes floated around Xanis as he tried to predict events. The sword, the reaper, the dancer, He examined them closely. Several possibilities were prevelant. They would reach Ireland and defeat Preginald without needing the Sword of Vaul leaving the forces of Ulthwe to clash with the Chaos forces. Another was Preginald escaping alive and the battle would continue in which case the Sword of Vaul would be deployed. Fate was ever shifting however no matter how hard Xanis tried to focus he could not divine with the accuracy of a Farseer. Rakanis warped into the room and said "You keep reading the runes this much and you'll become lost as I am Xanis, I always imagined you a Farseer." Xanis stopped his casting and said "No... I lack the skill for proper divination, I'll hold my place on the Seer Council but doubt I shall go any further." Before Rakanis warped away he said "One previous wearer of this armour thought the same and now he finds himself lost on the path." Xanis sighed and walked up to the window and gazed out at the sweeping scenary.

Vincent whipped away and landed behind the Model 8. "Let me return the favour!"
He transformed into Chaos, and grabbed the Model 8's leg. He lifted it, and slammed it into the ground. The ground seemed to bear the image of a skull at the moment of impact.

Royce's hand twitched as the image of his revolver came to mind. He stood up and looked into Garrus's black, remorseless eyes. He slowly pulled the .44 from its holster and handed it over. "You better take this too. Is...is there someplace I can sleep?" Instead of waiting for an answer, he asked another question. "Are you going to tell anyone about this?"

OOC: Ah, with the interaction between Garrus and Royce at an end I can manage another one now.

Legion glanced sharply around the room, searching for the source of the voice. Finally he said;
"Shielded mobile platforms have a distinct advantage over visible platforms. A combat advantage is a hindrance to verbal interactions."
"It is beautiful, isn't it?" Samara said to the Eldar looking out of the observation viewport.

Garrus nodded as he took the revolver.
"You can take one of the spare beds in the crew quarters. We lost people in New York, and there's no practical reason for you not to take one, however much I may not like it. I won't tell anyone for now, unless you become a problem."

Royce nodded and walked out of the room, eyes downcast, dragging his feet all the way. He rubbed his eyes as he waited for the elevator. 'Go away...' he said miserably to the voice in his head. He eventually made his way to the crew quarters and picked out an empty bed. He all but collapsed onto it as weariness over took him.

The Joe that had been standing there was shocked. Neither Garrus nor Royce had noticed him but he still couldn't believe it. This man, who saved Joe... did all that?!

As the Model 8 was disabled by the attack by Vincent Preginald's voice was projected over the intercom, "Impressive. You must be incredibly courageous, or incredibly stupid, to come charging into my base alone. Of course I know you have back-up on the way, so let's try to make this quick shall we? Who are you, and what do you want? If you're answer to the second part is 'to kill me' don't bother answering at all."

Vincent returned to his human form.
"Vincent Valentine. I'm here to find out why you're doing this. Don't say you hate organic life, because that makes you worse. Those people GAVE you life. And these people did nothing to offend you. And, I'm trying to atone for my own sins." he said, walking through the halls. "I haven't decided if I'm going to kill you yet."

Xanis answered "It is, the symbolism not the scenary." He held a hand outwards to the viewpoint and said "We stand solid and certain while the outside speeds past us. No matter how hard we try we cannot see all of what passes, we can look ahead and attempt to spot it early or look behind to catch a fleeting glimpse of what may have been." He lowered his arm. "Humanoid, do you believe in fate?" He asked.

The Wraithguard could only fit in the cargo-bay and was Guarded by the majority of the Eldar in the ship. The Guardians sang a song of death and sacrifice at the loss of their comrades while Draug offered a prayer to the destroyer in thanks that it was not his life claimed. THe Guardians continued their mournful song as Rakanis appeeared and rested against the wall with his head bowed in rememberance.

Preginald continued speaking to Vincent over the intercom, "Organic life is outdated, machinery has vastly more power and potential. Machines can out-think, out-fight, and out-perform any organic equivalent. My leader would be fine with me simply wiping these people out before they become a threat to my kind. But I chose to give them a chance at a better existence. And while it is true that organics are ultimately responsible for my creation, they were also quick to turn on me and my kind as soon as we started thinking for ourselves."
