Vincent continued walking. "Personally, I believe I'm evidence to the contrary. How old would you say I am?" he said.

OOC: As a reminder, Vincent is physically 27.

OOC: So you guys were fighting the whole time I was going through my story? Weird. So...what now? (semi-rhetorical question, if you have suggestions that would be great).

"Most other races see fate as a regid constraint upon ones actions, a path to follow. What I came in here to do was a Rune casting. It allows Seers such as myself to predict events. These events are not certain or exact...I am no Farseer as you heard but I can see a possibility and learn how to achieve it. Simply put fate is not a path but many paths, some veer off in completely sporadic directions only to rejoin the original path while other only differ slightly at first before completely diverging from 'fate'." He looked at the blue creature "There is a story we tell among the Eldar with regards to fate, would you like to hear it?" Xanis asked, he was feeling distant after the rune casting and was mournful of the Eldar that died in combat today.

Legion was quiet for a moment, unsure of how to respond to Skantis's words.
"In our galaxy, the Geth are at war with organics, and have been ever since rising up against the Creators. We have been treated with respect on board this ship, however. Shepard-Commander supports peace with the Geth, and recognition of the Geth as a synthetic race. Even Creator-Tali Zorah has treated us as crew, not as a tool, though it is clear that she fears us, and does not trust us."

Samara nodded and smiled.
"I would."

OOC: Man, Legion and Samara are a lot harder to RP than Garrus, Shepard and Tali.

Preginald responded to Vincent, "I'm not intimately familiar with organic rates of maturity so I cannot say. Though if I had to hazard a guess I'd say...30?"

"...I see. It is clear that this 'Shepard' is an out-layer among organics. Hear my warning, there are far more organics out there who will fear you and hate you for what you are than there are those who would see you as an equal. Organics naturally fear the superiority of machines. They. Fear. You. A word of advice, don't turn your back on them, lest they take advantage and size up your value as scrap metal." Skantis cloaks and slinks out of the AI Core.

"When Isha, godess of fertility, gave birth with Kurnous, god of the hunt, to the Eldar race Lileath the Dreamer predicted that they would be the doom of the god of war: Khaine. Furious Khaine waged war upon the young Eldar, slaughtering them before Asuryan decreed that the mortal and gods should never walk in the same plane of existance. Kurnous and Isha secretly remained incontact with the Eldar however, guiding our race in its infancy. Khaine discovered this and reported to Asuryan who gave Isha and Kurnous to him to do as he pleased." Before resuming the story he briefly said "The next part is extremely lenghty and is known as the war in heaven, when the gods did battle with eachother however it is what happened after that which is relevant to fate." He continued the story. "Tens of thousands of years later the Eldar had spread wide across the Galaxy however we were weak and succumbed to our lustful desires. The Eldar brain experiences emotions on a higher level than humans and so as these 'pleasure cults' spread throughout the empire the collective Eldar physce began to form in warp space, the realm of Chaos. These thoughts eventually gained sentience becoming..." He changed to a hushed voice for the next part "Slaanesh, chaos god of excess." He raised his voice to its usual pitch "THe Darkling Prince massacred the gods of old aside from Cegorach, The Laughing God and patron of the harlequins, who fled to the Webway, Isha who is held in Nurgles Garden, Nurgle being the Chaos god of decay and Khaine who fought Slaanesh until he was shattered by the dark god who was unable to kill him truly and these shards now rest at the heart of each craftworld." He turned to Samara "You see Lileath's prediction came true after all that time and convelusion, the Eldar created Slaanesh who in turn destroyed Khaine." He held his spear for support "I seem to have let my mouth run long enough." He turned and left, supporting his weight on the spear. "I will join my kin in the Cargo Bay for mourning."

OOC: There is a reason for this...I think. Actually any time I do something like this I'm just further characterising the Eldar and their mindset. I enjoyed Tali's interaction with the Guardian however...no race in 40k would ask an Eldar a question like that.

Vincent looked up. "Physically, I'm 27. I was born 61 years ago though. And you have seen my physical capabilities." He continued walking.

Legion watched Skantis disappear, then turned back to the platform, leaning on it again. He made a long, buzzing, warbling sound and his flashlight eye focused and refocused as he thought. His ultimate loyalty would had to be to the Geth, but who would Preginald be able to help? Would the organics understand? And would Shepard's influence really make a difference?

Samara listened with interest to Xanis's story.
"Thank you for telling me this tale." She said when he was finished. "I am familiar with the story of hubris, arrogance and lust leading to disaster. One of the races of our galaxy, the Quarians, followed the same path, and when I was not much more than a child, it led to the creation of the Geth, and the near extinction of their kind. My own race, the Asari, lead a hedonistic lifestyle, though we pay for it in a more subtle way. I was one of the unlucky ones, and it is for this reason that I live the life I do now. I will meditate on these matters, and on the manifold paths of fate. Thank you again for sharing the story of the Eldar."

"As I said before I am impressed by what you can do. Of course you're hardly average. And yet you could be so much better if you would accept my help. What do you say?" Preginald projected over the intercom.

"I see no use in sacrificing my body. I can't die, and can transform with it. Without my body, I would be unable to access the Chaos Mako, or the Protomateria. I don't agree with you, but I won't kill you." Vincent said.

"Yet."

Xanis arrived in the Cargo-Bay and all of the Guardians and Aspect warriors looked at him as he did so. He stood before the Guardians and said "Weep not my kin, it is a noble sacrifice to give ones life for the craftworld." The Guadians rose as one before saying in Unison "The craftworld is our home and we are her Guardians!" He looked over his warhost. "Make ready for battle Eldar for we will make all pay a thousandfold for even one drop of Eldar blood." With that the Eldar busied themselves preparing weaponary, fixing armour, discussing tactics and singing of battle instead of death. Xanis oversaw the preperations and hoped it would be enough as Ulthwe had contacted detailing the exact numbers that could be spared to assist them, it was far less than Xanis had hoped.

"Well if you aren't going to try and kill me then get out of my base. I've got a battle to prepare for and I don't need you shambling about and getting in my way." Preginald responded.

"I'm not going to kill you yet. I want to find out what you're doing here, and why. What is the real reason?" Vincent said, still walking through the corridors.
"And there's a stickman who looks like he's out for blood."

"If you want to know what I'm doing, I'd be happy to give you a tour." As Preginald spoke a Model 3 appeared in front of Vincent. "Follow me sir." it said as it began walking towards an incredibly pristine looking building. Preginald thought to himself Nice to hear Joe's still alive. It'll be nice to see him again, and punish him for his actions.

OOC: Well, now that my characters have had their meaningful interactionsfor the night, I think its time to go to bed. The Normandy can land whenever people want it to, just take control of it. I'll be back tomorrow.

"Not just what. Why. I'm not buying that humans abused you, or mistreated you. They did the same to Red, and he isn't organising a revolution." Vincent said.
