Joker looked out the viewports at the Russians and snorted.
"Please, why don't they try throwing spears at us?" He set the thrusters to ful power and the Normandy cruised forward at an exponentially increasing speed. The Russians opened fire but their bullets plinked harmlessly against the kinetic barrier, and the ship flew off at such a speed that it almost dragged two Russian helicopters out of the air behind it.
OOC: Helicopters and infantry really would be a joke next to the Normandy. Of course, if you wanted to throw in some jet fighters, Joker would be willing to play with them a little...

Three Russian MiGs sped at the Normandy, firing their machine guns. One launched an air-to-air missile before they pulled up to avoid collision.

Several cockpit alarms sounded, before a barrage of fire hit the kinetic barriers. Joker looked at his displays to see three airborne targets, moving at moderate speed.
"Oh, now this could be fun."
OOC:Ok, so the Normandy would really outclass the jets in speed and altitude, as well as its obvious advantages in weaponry, but lets say that they are more maneuverable for the sake of fairness.
Joker tried to bring the Normandy around to return fire on the MiGs, but they always stayed ahead of the much larger ship. His GARDIAN lasers on the other hand were able to shoot down their missiles. He decided on a change of tactic and began to fly straight up.

OOC: I would say that an altimeter whose maximum line just says 'Space' probably goes higher, yeah.
The Normandy kept up its ascent. As it went it veered to one side, avoiding one missile at the last second, and the other was shot down by the GARDIAN system. Joker grinned as he watched the altimeter climb rapidly. Quite soon, the jets were starting to slow, while Normandy maintained its speed easily.

After a while, the MiGs reached their highest possible altitude and stalled, before turning over and beginning a controlled fall. Just before they reached their apex, the Normandy pulled out of its climb in a graceful arc so that by the time the jets managed to restart their engines, they were in Joker's sights. The Thanix cannon blazed, and Joker lined it up with one of the MiGs, shearing off its left wing before it could perform evasive maneuvres.
OOC: Because while we've been dealing with Preginald, WWIII has been raging in the background. And apparently to the Russians, if they see a high tech aircraft that they don't recognise, then it must automatically be American. Which I suppose is a more reasonable assumption than it belonging to aliens from the future. Anyway, looks like Trilby has lost interest, so I'll get rid of the jets.

The resultant warp field blew the fighter off course with enough force to severely damage its frame. Large pieces of metal began to spin off behind it, and then the pilot ejected just before the aircraft tore itself apart in mid air.

OoC: Hn. Our entire force of the Normandy, Eldar, and the Gundams could just force peace on everyone....
OOC: Don't know about forcing peace on them, but I'll let you lot figure that out. I'm planning on today being the last time I take part in this RP. I'm not going to abruptly remove the Normandy, but it'll basically drop off its passengers and Shepard's team will bid them farewell.

Ratsel saw the confusion taking place above his head but this was not his battle he had defeated the demon and allowed his allies time to defeat the threat of the robotic army weapons like the Aussenseiter would only bring about more fighting if the were seen. Thus Ratsel turned and launched away from the battle and towards the atmosphere planning to seek out the preventer base where he knew he could stay
The computer system started beeping. A large mech was heading in the direction of the Preventer Base.
Quatre opened a communications channel. "This is Quatre Rebarba Winner. You are entering Preventer space. State your business or I'll shoot!"

OOC: if we're doing WWIII now i have a decent main villain in mind if you want to keep that plot....(not Shu i'm finishing Shu's mini-arc with the gundams then i would change over to who i have in mind)
Quatre rose an eyebrow. But never-the-less, he powered down the maxiblaster. "I can take you to the Preventer Base if you want." he offered.
