Meanwhile...
In the charred wasteland, all was still. The flamethrowers used by Preginald's robots had killed every native organism, trees, animals, insects. Nothing had survived. Adding to the carnage were the thousands of fallen Chaos warriors, a giant black stain on the dead earth. Even the Russian soldiers who were examining the area moved slowly, quietly, haunted by the atmosphere of death.
And then something moved.
A pile of dead warriors bulged and heaved, unnoticed by the soldiers, and thena scaly fist burst free. Dromaeus pushed a Chaos warrior's corpse off him and pulled himself out of the pile.
"Knocked out again? I must be getting careless." He stood up and looked around, then promptly crouched again on seeing the Russians.
"Time to leave, I think. But first..." He stripped the armour from several warriors until he had a full intact suit, which he crammed into his satchel. Then he fled, leaving nothing but a shimmer in the air, and a furrow in the earth where he dragged his satchel, heavily overburdened with his many trophies.

Alastair was on the normandy and swore he couldn't remember a thing. He rembered Renlen and how nice he was. Alastair stood up and walked around.
OOC: small note: a lot of people in the Highlands would have shotguns and revolvers to kill foxes and put down horses.spudevil said:

Vincent, Red and Cait were leading the people to nearby towns when they came across the Eldar.

OOC: Pretty much where the battle was. They're evacuating the people and trying to find a city with a mobile phone's GPS.
OOC: Right, we can say the Normandy took off to evade the troops who were actually around the battlefield, took a bit of a long flight to deal with the jets, and then circled around to land in the populated area that you're in now. At this point, it has landed.
