OOC: Reading through the other storylines, I have to wonder if I'm the only character who isn't evil or treacherous to some extent.[/quote]

Well... Yeah, I guess I have to concede that Alek is pretty treacherous, but not evil, and only to Joel. And he has good reason for being that way.

OOC: Yeah, why was that? I saw that he was planning to betray him, but couldn't find the reason why.

Preginald sent a radio transmission to Aleks stormwalker, "Team Ferdinand this is Preginald, what is your status? We are in Iceland and prepped for a pick-up, over."

Joel heard Miranda's howl of pain and pulled out his radio. "Harrower. You get Simmons and follow Rugal. Don't get caught. I don't want Britain getting dragged into this along with Israel and Russia."
Joel switched off and changed his channel. "Alek. The Joneses and Andersons are on their way to pick you up and take you to the hotel. I've got two people trailing Rugal. You need to trust me. And seriously. Sorry about Franz and Sophie."

OOC = Non-Letal KO on Miranda?

Rugal watched as the beast got back up.
"Well...it's been fun...Whatever the hell you are supposed to be..."
Rugal began to glow white.
"VANISHING RUSH!"
Rugal ran though the beast and appeared behind it.
Tension filled the air.
The beast fell to it's knees then on it's front.
Rugal pulled out a phone and said "Kazuya...get the helicopter..."

OOC: Miranda died when she and Joel were children. She can affect the world more than Joel, but can't die.

"We're just south of the admantium refinery. You should be able to track this signal." Alek said, responding to Preginald's transmission. Joel came on soon after. "Alek. The Joneses and Andersons are on their way to pick you up and take you to the hotel. I've got two people trailing Rugal. You need to trust me. And seriously. Sorry about Franz and Sophie." The mention of their names cut through Alek once again. Idly, he reached for his inner jacket pocket, but stopped himself. Soon. "I'll be there." Alek responded, trying to sound natural. This was it. No alternative, no loose ends, no witnesses...

That relates back to Alek's character. Scott Westerfeld's "Leviathan" (the book Alek came from) is set in an alternative Europe on the verge of World War I. The war is between the Darwinists (England, France, and Russia) who fabricate entirely new species of animals which form the building block of their society (hence why Alek doesn't like animals, and some of his allies), and the Clankers (Germany, Austria, and the Ottoman Empire) their nations have advanced steampunk technology (hence the stormwalker). Alek is in hiding because he's Franz Ferdinand's son and has a great secret that no one can know. Joel figured it out (I take some issue with that by the way, he did it a bit too easily) and Alek has been wrestling (as he does in the book) with what he wants to do and what is expected of him, namely to kill Joel so that no one knows where he is.

I'm going to eat, be back later.

OOC: Ah, so its to keep his identity a secret. This sounds like an interesting book. When was it written?

Rugal walked outside to an awaiting Helicopter.
Well...that was Productive...
"TAKE ME TO KAZUYA AND STEP UP SECURITY DETAIL, WE MAY HAVE GUESTS!" He shouted at the Pilotas he got in.
The Machine took out and headed straight for Mishima HQ.

"Roger that Alek, we will be there shortly."
Preginald deactivates the hover-bus's cloaking device and speeds off towards the location of Alek's signal.

Alek kept going. There was more ground to cover, and he needed time to think. Preginald should be there shortly, and then it was on to Rugal.

Two or three years ago. It's part of a trilogy as well.

Are we going to stop and get Delta, or are we just proceeding on to the hotel?

As far as I know Delta is still in a coma, so unless anyone can correct me otherwise then we're just heading straight for the hotel.

Swiftrunner had been silent on the hoverbus for the journey. He had taken the time to disconnect with his bestial nature and try to make sense of the situation he found himself in. He had come to a conclusion.

"I hope we don't have to fly for much longer, my claws miss ground" Spoke Swiftrunner in his harsh voice, breaking the silence he had been in for most of the journey.

OOC: Swiftrunner is True Neutral I would say, everything he does is for the protection of his people and he will fight anything that threatens them and do anything to keep his kin alive. Hence this little number I thought of at work...It was a slow night.

Joel and Matt rushed into the hotel and the elevator. "Matt, change of plans. You're going to take the others into the conference room, and give them some bull about how I got shot. I'll tell you what to say."
Matt opened a radio channel. "Everybody, you need to hurry. Joel and Rugal got into a fight at the airport and he got shot."

OOC: Great, now everyone's spoiler boxes disappear when I click on them. Anyway, I don't think I've seen Delta post since the first night when this storyline kicked off.

Matt's message came through just as the stormwalker came into sight below.
"Tell him to join the club." I replied. "How bad is it?"

Preginald spots the stormwalker and parks in front of it, then he received a radio transmission, "Everybody, you need to hurry. Joel and Rugal got into a fight at the airport and he got shot."

Preginald leans out of a window and addresses the stormwalker with his megaphone, "Quickly lads, Joel ran into some trouble with Rugal and got shot, we must hurry!"

Responding to the radio transmission, "Not to worry, we've located the Ferdinands and will be on our way shortly."

Matt sat on Joel's bed as he stripped. The radio crackled. "Thigh and abdomen. He might bleed out soon, so hurry up."
Matt turned to look at Joel before throwing his shirt behind the sofa
Specific because, if you remember Sear Drop... yep.

Just... without Joel's mother...
