Matt grabbed Preginald's other leg and tugged with Mike. "Sorry. Breeze in my fur... Distracted me..." he muttered apologetically. "Everyone else okay? Mike, you're hurt! I'll need to take you up to your room and patch you up..."

"Its grand." I said as we stepped aside to let Swiftrunner get to Preginald. "I've already patched it up as best I can. Unless you have some kind of super advanced medicine that can instantly erase wounds, I'll just have to fight one handed for a while. I left your sniper rifle in Africa by the way. Lost my gas mask too. Sorry about that."

Matt looked at Alek. "Sorry. It's just... we won't be meeting Joel by the way. His room needs to be sterile, and I'm his doctor... so... I'll just get something." he explained. God... I hope the only other clothes I have aren't 'Melissa's... Mike spoke up. "Actually, I could try. It's sorta why Joel started dating me... I'm his 'healer'... and don't worry about the gun. You would not believe what's in Joel's bag. Shit that could take out Alek's Stormwalker, probably."

"Hmm, thanks for the context." I shook my head and grinned. "Well, if you can do anyything more for it than I have, I'd be grateful to you."

Having been freed from the wall, "Thank you. And sorry for the rough landing everyone, it's just that I've never gone 11,000 mph before in the hover-bus. I still think it was a pretty successful landing considering the building didn't topple over, and those dozen we just passed straight through are still standing too."

Addressing Matt, "So what's the plan here, everyone just meet in the conference room then we'll figure out what to do next?"

Alek sighed. "Let's just get on with events." He said and quickly walked to the conference room.

The group reached the second floor and Matt stumbled out holding up Mike. "Just go on up, okay?" he said to the others. The pair walked into the room down the hall from Joel, and Matt lowered Mike into the bed. He moved his hands over the wounded arm, channelling his spiritual energy into healing him. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead. "Okay..." he panted once. "You should regain some movement. If not, tell me. Head on up. I need... clothes." Matt walked out of the room calmly, and into his own room. Joel had laid out a spare outfit. Fuck...

Swiftrunner was annoyed at not being able to meet Joel and it showed when he violently ripped Preginald out of the wall. "I am not willing -growl- of dealing with those who hide behind lies and lackeys, this Joel could be as much trouble as Rugal" He issued a snort of contempt, he would not be used like this. But he saw little choice for the moment.

I nodded and flexed my arm. It moved easily, and the pain was just a faint dull ache.
"Thanks man. This would have taken weeks to heal otherwise."

Matt walked from his room, through the elevator, and into the conference room. "Hello everyone. Uh..." He blanked. He whispered "Words Joel, WORDS, I. Need. Words." Joel started speaking.
"I contacted a guy named Renlen in Ireland, who said Rugal was spying on us. He's in Tokyo, and we need to find him. So is Rugal, he's in the business area and he just wanted us out of his way."

Matt looked up. "Right. Joel made contact with a man named Renlen. He intercepted a conversation between Rugal and another, which revealed that they were spying on you. We need to find him, to get more information. He's in Tokyo, and got in just after Rugal. We don't know if they made contact. He was in Ireland at the same time as us... Now, Rugal also revealed that the resources we had to get are useless for making a portal, and he just wanted us out of the way. He's in Tokyo too, and Joel is spying on him."

The mention of Renlen seemd familiar. "I may have fought this -snarl- Renlen, along with Micheal and Urai" Swiftrunner relished the circumstances now, he would be able to get back at that human. "I could recognise his scent -growl- if we were to hunt for him." He wondered if any of the others had encountered him also?

 

[Arrogancy]

"Useless for making a portal, maybe," Alek spoke up "But I can think of a lot of ways to use the adamantium we stole. If I had enough and an industrial smelter I could rearmor the stormwalker." Alek considered that idea again, it really wouldn't be THAT difficult, a day or two at most. Adamantium had such a high melting point that once it stopped being heated it solidified almost instantly. It was ambitious, but it would require resources that would be difficult to get. "It's difficult, but it could give us a critical advantage." Alek added as an afterthought.

Matt turned to Swiftrunner. "That's great... what about the rest of you? Alek... I'm not sure if we could get a smelter. I'll search the internet. Anyone else?"

OOC: What i'm most surprised about is Alek's lack of reaction to Matt's new clothes...

I glanced sharply at Swiftrunner.
"Renlen, was that his name? And he was in contact with yourself and Joel, Matt? That guy is not to be trusted. We offered a truce, and the fucker threw a flashbang at us! He's cunning, and treacherous."

Matt was stunned. "I didn't contact him. Joel did... he was fishing for information. Joel set up a pretty complex plan to get him, but he got away. Twice. He is definitely cunning. Joel offered a truce too. You two should track him once we sort everything else out."

"Yeah, I think we might just do that. I figured he was just some random nutcase who landed here like we did, but if he's involved any deeper in this, we need to deal with him just like the cyclops, Rugal or whatever his name is."

"Well if all those nuclear rods aren't going to be necessary I should probably get rid of them. Oh, and while I'm gone I'll see about getting you a smelter from my dimension Alek, I've got a feeling we might need every advantage we can get."
Preginald hops back aboard the miraculously still functional hover-bus, opens a portal behind the bus, and backs through the portal which closes behind him.
