Swiftrunner was no strategist so he turned to leave the conferance hall to begin his hunt. The others could fill him in later, right now he had a human to find.

Joel stopped Swiftrunner as he left. "Wait! Here's a radio. Press here and talk to tell us where Renlen is. This blue button will send your coordinates. Follow Renlen. DO. NOT. Engage him."

"So, Rugal is capable of killing us at any range." Alek thought aloud. "We hold an advantage in numbers, but I get the feeling that that won't last long. So, how to kill him..." Alek thought. "I might have an idea, but I need to wait for Preginald." He took off the crown and looked at it. It wasn't the Hapsburg crown, Alek thought, but that wouldn't be much longer...

OoC: oh... Diable your evil plans better involve Godzilla, or I'll be mildly disappointed.

"If you do spot this Renlen character, I can come out to lend a hand if you need. I can probably grab him in the streets much more quietly." I pushed back my chair and stood up.
"If anyone wants me, I'm going to go and do some quick weapon maintenance, make sure all my equipment is in order." And with that I left the room.

OOC: Its 3:00am, and I've got some lab work to catch up on tomorrow. I'll have to call it a night.

Joel thought back to his duel with Rugal. "Fuck. Anyone coming up with a plan, make sure it doesn't involve guns. This bastard took an anti-tank .50 cal sniper round to the leg with a graze. And he took out two special forces commandos in about 10 seconds. The only reason I'm still alive is Miranda, and we can't count on her being there next time. We can't do full-frontal attacks, but he needs to face you for his long-range attacks. His ground attack is short-range and a circle-wave."
At Joel's mention of Miranda, Matt's jaw dropped and his face started to contort in anger.

Joe looks over at Alek. "Didn't I just say that?"

"If only he was in the 2D world, then my powers of respawning would probably kick in, then it would be an endurance match." Joe thought.

Taking the radio, Swiftrunner eyed Joel before snarling and leaving "As you wish".

Swiftrunner left the building to begin his hunt and in the shadows of alleyways he caught both of the scents he was searching for and set out after one careful to remain hidden. Whilst moving he wondered if the radio would track him even before he pressed the button. Distrusr was rife between everyone both friend and foe. Aleks reaction and brakedown when confonted by Joel confirmed that.

Swiftrunner had two question he needed answered; one could wait but one was urgent. He wouldn't take much longer but it warranted a slight detour.

OOC: Done for the night, see you later.

Joel watched Swiftrunner leave and turned to Alek. "Hey, Alek. I'm taking the crown. Don't resist. I am going to take the crown from your grasp." he whispered, taking the crown. "So."

 

[Drakmorg]

An industrial smelter smashes through the outward facing wall of the conference room. 20 seconds later Preginald enters the room by smashing through the only window in the room to survive the smelter impact.
"Thank you Gregory, you can head back home now."
A faint "A pleasure m'lud." can be heard outside.
"Right then, what have I missed?"

Joel glared at Preginald violently. "Well, when you came in, we were protected from stealthy attacks, spies and EVERYTHING OUTSIDE! Alek, do your shit with that... fucking thing. Where is the adamantium? Swiftrunner is tracking down Renlen and we're working out how to take out Rugal. I'm going to let Alek explain everything. He looks like a natural-born leader." Joel said, placing the crown on Alek's head again.

 

[Arrogancy]

"Joe, hand me the adamantium." Alek said. "I'm going to need some time, and some help. Everyone should probably leave this isn't safe, or easy." With that Alek left to get the stormwalker. He couldn't trust any of them, he decided. Everyone had their own agenda, and he was stupid enough to let his hand slip. That didn't mean he couldn't make use of them. Trust. That was the key, he hadn't been able to trust anyone since he fled. Alek slipped into the walker, it would be difficult getting the walker to the conference room, and he'd probably knock down a few walls. Before he started up, however, he slipped into the storage room of the walker. In one of the lockers was a small chest, it contained a few knick-knacks from his old life. Alek took the scroll out of his inner coat pocket and placed it in the chest and locked it. Now then, it was time to move the walker and get to work

Joel looked at Alek leaving. "Matt, follow him." he hissed. "He forgot the smelter is up here. And he doesn't have adamantium. Find out what he's up to..." Joel looked at the others as Matt left. "Okay, what do we do? Joe, what skills can you bring to the fight that will help us here? What about you Preginald? Urai? Saito? Anyone?"

Matt had to take the stairs. Alek would catch him if he took the elevator. Luckily, Matt's clothes were non-restrictive and loose, allowing him to run silently and quickly. He saw Alek leave and enter the Stormwalker, looking around for anyone else. Matt ran, and caught the hatch as it shut, slipping in quietly. He peered around the inside of the stormwalker, and looked at Alek. What had he just put in the locker? Matt pulled his head back, hoping Alek hadn't noticed him before exiting the Stormwalker quickly.

Where is the adamantium?

*Joe whistles and looks in another direction.*

"I'm starting to have my doubts about Joel, sure Preginald should have knocked before smashing that thing into the wall, but his attitude has changed since Iceland..." he thought

I'm going to let Alek explain everything. He looks like a natural-born leader." Joel said, placing the crown on Alek's head again.

Joe stops whistling, watching as Alek leave the room.

"Matt, follow him." he hissed.

"You know mister all high and mighty, what's your problem? Alek's is the first person I ever met in this world, accepted me outright and let me into the only thing he considered a safe place to be in such a situation."

"I honestly don't care if he's royalty or what but he's my friend, and no one is going to ridicule them, [sub] except maybe me[/sub], but only by accident."

"As for what I can do, a better question is 'What can you think of that is helpful in this situation', there's your answer."

Joel was stunned by Joe's reaction. "Well... Sorry. I just want to know why he's so secretive. And also why he said he couldn't work on his stormwalker without the adamantium and smelter, but left to do just that with neither of those things! Now, if you would like to know what I'm bringing to the table, it's this."
Joel's muscles grew and tentacles emerged. "I managed to tie Rugal up, but he broke free. There. Happy?"

Matt sprinted into the room. "Alek had some sort of roll of paper. He put it in a locker, but he was looking around, making sure nobody followed him."

OOC: it's 4:12 here, and I'm sleepy.
