It took only half an hour for me to find a road, and only a few hours after that for me to reach the nearest city. I couldn't believe what I found. I was in the outskirts of Cork city, the city where I had once lived and worked! I could only shake my head at the coincidence. I decided to go into the city and see if I could replace my battle damaged clothes, but I had to find a way to blend in to the crowd.

As I looked around I noticed a particularly disreputable looking man in a tracksuit standing on the pavement a short distance away. He was speaking to a young woman who looked thoroughly intimidated, as he was standing well within her personal space. A smile curled across my face as I began to approach them.

"Get out of here." I said to the woman when I got close. Her eyes widened and she backed off quickly. The scumbag whirled around, his dull eyes blazing.

"You want a fooking smack bai? What the?!" He got no further as I raised my revolver to his face and pulled back the hammer.

"Take off your clothes. Now."

...

Two hours later I returned to that spot, still breathing heavily. It had been horrible in the crowds. Though they looked like normal people, rotting, undead faces kept flashing into my mind. I felt crowded in a way that I had never felt before when I walked through a city. My hands had shaken uncontrollably, my face was white, and it took genuine effort to avoid drawing my weapons. Luckily I didn't lapse into a full-on flashback. And despite the unpleasance of the experience, I had obtained clean clothes and an intact leather jacket similar to my own into which I could stitch the crude metal plates that reinforced it. I also obtained a good hiking pack into which I could put my equipment, and could modify it to hold my weapons within reach while in the field. I decided it was a good time to report my findings as I changed quickly into my new clothes and dumped the tracksuit on the unconscious scumbag concealed behind the low wall.

"I've found a city. There's a river running through it that we can get fairly clean water from, and we can obtain food too. If any of you are still searching, you could head this way. You'd have to camp outside though, some of you'll kind of stick out."

Renlen Deadeye awoke to the sound of crackling. After rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he checked Guilty Spark's charge levels. "Well that's a relief at least now I won't have to worry about being unarmed if anything comes up." is what he thought. After fiddling with GS for a bit, making sure that everything was as he left it, Renlen looked towards the source of the noise he could which strangely was up. And then something came up. It took him a couple of seconds to realise that the forest he had been resting at the fringe of was alight with flames. Grabbing GS, Renlen stood and ran from the flaming forest, glad that whoever had decided to start dabbling in deforestation was either really bad at setting fires or thought burning the trees from the top down would get rid of them faster. "Can't anyone get a decent moments rest without being threatened around here" is what he peevishly thought as he stood watching the flames. He noted that there was going to be hell to pay for the wiseguy who thought burning down trees without checking if someone was nearby was a good course of action. Immediately after this thought, he remembered that he had activated his optical implants before sleeping.

After a quick catch up the events that had occurred whilst he was resting, he was able to deduce there had been a dragon here before that had caused the fire. However immediately before hand, it looked like the dragon had been talking to something but from this distance Renlen couldn't tell who or what it was. Well at least he knew who was the cause of the fire as well as what had been going on whilst he was asleep. Though Renlen didn't know what had been said during what appeared to have been a rather short conflict brought to an end by a mediator. He kinda felt out of the loop.

After bringing GS out of his low power state and his spherical companion was floating by his side again, Renlen turned to see what had happened in the immediate area during his abscence. He noted that the giant mech was no longer where he had last seen it but instead been replaced by a cohort of 10 foot tall robots that were positioned not far from what has been the general area of action so far. Renlen also noticed that the people who he had seen approaching the figure in the aftermath of the epic battle earlier, one of which whom had been the Saito person that he had been conversing with earlier, were no longer in sight. He remembered back to his conversation with Saito and agreed that it no longer seemed liked this situation wasn't weird. He quickly realised that there appeared to be two figures still in the vicinity. From here Renlen could make out that one of them was a woman and the other was a... good lord! Is that a wolfman! Was a beast attacking this woman!?! Not on Renlen's watch. Renlen immediately sprung into action and activated a three-way mental channel between himself and the two figures through GS ensuring that the speakers were muted in order to hide his position and hopefully have the upper hand. And if the Wolfman had a keen sense of smell then the burning behind Renlen might help to mask his scent. Quickly checking his person, Renlen discovered that he had indeed stashed something with which he could defend himself with. Pulling his self-modified Mauser Machine Pistol from the holster hidden behind his sash, Renlen pulled down GS and set up in a prone position facing the scene in front of him.

He then relayed through GS. "Would you be so kind as to step away from the lady, Beast Man. I don't think anyone here wants any trouble but I have my sights on you and if push comes to shove I will incapacitate you."

Literally as soon as I signed off last night, all the action happened. I totally called it. However, I didn't expect the forest to get set alight though.

The return of the human warrior caught Swiftrunners attention. "I am used to dwelling away from humans it will be no -snarl- matter to me but my claws crave battle soon" Swiftrunner approached the human. "What of the others" Swiftrunner said after a growl and turned to face the people arrayed before him.

Um... VeneratedWulfen are you addressing Random or me? Cause Random's replying through through the Walkie-Talkies that he had handed out before he went off exploring. He's not in the vicinity and I've kinda just threatened your character...

OOC: I understand now just not sure how to address your avatar Mcmorrow

The new threat had Swiftrunner on edge again. He growled and shouted "Threaten me -snarl at your peril...I mean no harm to the female...for now"

Rugal had explained his plan to Kazuya.
"Sooo...let me get this straight...you are from another world...where I work for you and you want me to...create a teleporter to that world...so you can take over this one...and you think I would do that for you?!" Kazuya yelled, clearing not wanting in on Rugal's plan

Rugal calmly replied. "Listen to me...This...Is going to happen, with or without your help...I an just merely stating that...I know to build one, I'm here ain't I?, and When I do, My Forces will claim this world...your with me or against me...It's Your call..."

Kazuya began to worry "...But...how will they defeat this World's Forces?"

"The same way they took over the last one..."

Just talk normally. Guilty Spark is able to register any spoken audio over a distance and transmit it back to my character if there is a mental channel set up in the direction that the audio is coming from.

"Forgive me for not believing you as from what I can gather, there are only the two of you out here, apart from those robots. And if I learned anything from my run-ins with Wolfmen, it is that they generally aren't trustworthy and pretty bad liars. Also they have a tendency to tear apart people who are on their own. So I repeat my request that you stay away from the girl. I can also see you are looking for me. Let me give you some advice. Don't even try it unless you dislike your right leg that much." 'replied' Renlen as he kept the Wolf man in his sights.

Swiftrunner growled. "Peace human" Swiftrunner turned to face the direction the scent was emnating from. Addressing the direction "The female is more than capable of defending herself"
Swiftrunner could tell the man was using a similair kind of projectile weapon that the machine from earlier used. "Your fire sprayer -snarl- isn't as much of a defense as you think...your in the same danger as I am" Another growl and Swiftrunner leapt forward at great speed then stopped. An example of the speed and agility he possessed.

Before long, I found the nearest pub and went inside. After buying a pint of Bulmers at the bar and sat at a table. This was a luxury that I had almost forgotten about, and now I almost laughed out loud as the memory of the cold, sweet taste came back to me. Partly relaxed for the first time in weeks now, I casually looked up at the television in the corner. It was showing the news, something about the economy, but I didn't care. I was just happy to watch.

Just then the story changed. A birds-eye view of a blazing forest appeared on the screen, and the reporter announced over the sound of a helicopter's blades that an unexplained act of arson had caused the largest Scotch pine forest in Cork to burn out of control. Strangely, it was burning from the top down, and considering that the trees were not dry or especially combustible, the source of ignition must have been huge and intense. With a jolt I realised that the camera was now panninng over the same area where I had appeared in this world.

"Time to go, I think." I quickly downed the rest of my pint and stood up. The room seemed to shift slightly.

"Bloody hell, its been too long since I last drank."

OOC: you cant just LEAVE me! now i have to come up with some reason that you didnt or something...

Not-OOC: Nicole woke up with his puppy, and watched the flying horse fly away. He ran after him, yelling "Wait! YOU WHORE! I NEED A RIDE!" He paused and thought for a second... "AND I LEFT SOME RATHER PERSONAL THINGS IN YOUR SADDLE BAGS THAT YOUR BOSS WILL NOT APPRECIATE!" Nicole had almost given up hope when he saw the horse suddenly plummet to the earth. Nicole sprinted, just like he did every night in the city, until he found the flying horse talking to a tiny pony. 'What in all hell is going on here?' he thought, before bursting into the clearing.
"What in all hell is going on here?" he asked, not very imaginatively.

Renlen blinked. In that time the Wolf man had gotten closer. Smirking at the prospect of a challenge, Renlen resighted before 'replying'.
"I think you underestimate my 'fire sprayer' as you call it and that isn't the only trick I have up my sleeve. I'm certain the girl is more than capable of defending herself against any normal man however I think against a beast such as yourself, the odds wouldn't be tipped in her favour. But since it appears you have complied with my request, I won't be pulling my trigger any time soon... that is unless you decide to keep looking for me. Then the hammer on my little fire sprayer and some other nasty tricks may come sneaking up on you."
Although he felt certain he had the advantage in this situation, Renlen slowly reached across to where GS laid and made sure his offense capabilities were activated, just in case.

As Malcom X arose from his grave. Secretly hiding there for decades.

He slowly whispered,
"It has begun..." As he casually dusted himself off, readjusted his glasses and walked away.

Swiftrunner heard the voice again... but couldn't pinpoint exactly where the scent was coming from as burning blocked his nose. With a savage chuckle Swiftrunner began "The girl is the reason my corpse and many others do not litter the floor...she has magic in its foulest form -snarl- Blood Magic and she forced a stalemate upon us with a summoned demon" He couldn't locate the voice by sound, scent or sight. Swiftrunner despised the feeling of being hunted, it was not his place but with his senses dulled he could do little. The human was likely to use foulplay and while Swiftrunner was sure he was faster, stronger and tougher than the human he didn't wish to cause too much of a commotion..."Let me look in you in your eyes Human -growl- its not like a warrior to hide like some -snarl- elf"

Alek woke up and stretched. One of the good things about being on the run, he decided, was learning to get by on very little sleep. Checking his watch it seemed that not much time had passed. The mechanik was just getting down from the interior of the stormwalker when he approached. "How does it look?" Alek asked. The mechanik turned. "Well, it seemed to be in good working order, most of the parts were intact and I was able to replace some of the ones that weren't. It's fully fueled and I patched all the bigger holes. It's in as good a condition as I can get it." Alek nodded, stormwalkers were designed to be fast, strong, and utilitarian. They could be patched quickly with very few spare parts. He thanked the man and gave him a gold bar. Grabbing the depthless man, Alek returned to the helm of the stormwalker. Now, where were the others?

As I returned to the scene of the night's strange events, I began to smell smoke before I could see the fire itself. Loking down, I noticed that there were two sets of pawprints crossing my path, one leading in the opposite direction to the other. So the werewolf had returned as well. I decided to follow them and see if the alien, Urai, or the Japanese girl had also returned, and if anything new had occurred. As I walked, the werewolf appeared in the distance, glancing all around him. I began to warily survey the area around as well, sure that he sensed some new threat that I could not.

Swiftrunner caught the scent of something familiar amid the smoke, faint but there. The human warrior from before. Swiftrunner roared and shouted "What treachoury human...one of your ilk threatens me!"

The werewolf bellowed his challenge, but he didn't seem to be making sense. I glanced around but other than myself and the Japanese girl who was still meditating, there was noone else around.

"I don't see anyone. Was it a sniper? I don't see where he could hide effectively and still get a good shot off, the land is flat for a mile around and I'd see him if he was trying to hide in the grass."

"Although I'm indeed interested in hearing stories about Blood Magic or Magicks and what have you, but now is hardly the time for fairy tales. Unfortunately, as I said before, I have trouble believing that. I have to ask. Do you think me stupid? If I was reveal where I am then I most certainly would be giving up one of my advantages in this situation whilst presenting you with a perfect opportunity to stike me down. I'm quite sure if our positions were reversed then you wouldn't be so quick as to give yourself away either and would relish in the hunt. Contrastingly, I'm not relishing in anything. I'm merely making sure that the girl is not in danger from you." Renlen 'replied' to the Wolf man. He had heard a tone of annoyance in the beast's previous reply and pondered whether it was due to frustration or having an unknown enemy. He noticed that the creature had suddenly turned to face a different direction. Taking a moment to look away from his weapon's scope, Renlen noticed a figure approaching. "Now" he wondered "who is this?".
