OOC: @Ven... did you put Corvo on a bus? Already?

Ok... so where should say Jensen is now?
OOC: I pretended Corvo never happened. Beyond sneaking around I've got fuck all I could do with him. Silent Protagonists are a *****. Also I wanted some fighting since I have so little time and people are getting on later than they used to.

OOC: We could say he's in some part of the town and then have him move toward the castle/airship.

Royce got out of bed and started doing some exercise. Pushups, pullups, situps, things of that nature.

OOC: @Ven You know, he doesn't have to be exactly like he is in the game. You can and should adapt him a little to fit the RP. Don't try to stick too rigidly to the lore of a game or it'll just get boring to play, and boring to read. All the best characters here are the ones who use their home universe as a jumping off point, and develop from there, instead of just showing up, recapping everything that ever happened in their existing stories, and then failing to do anything new.

In his frustration, Jensen slammed a fist into the wall of the dilapidated room that he was standing in. Having patched up the cut on his face he had begun to track the mystery assailant, but the man was like a ghost, and by the time the trail led him back to this lair, he had packed up all his equipment and vanished. The trail had gone cold. If not for the attack on the town that had caused so much chaos, he might have been able to catch him. Jensen quickly and expertly sifted through the apartment for clues, but finding nothing, he was left with no choice but to go outside into the ruined streets.

OOC: Tired of character development? As in, they... I don't really understand that. What are we supposed to be doing then? Bring in characters as a series ofcameos? Just have them show off a bunch of their fighting moveswith zero context and then kick them out for the next one?

OoC: @Berk Actually, I kinda get it. When you're not intrested in it character dev, it just comes off as padding. And since @Ven only wants to play one kind of character (OP warhungry dickhead), and that archetype doesn't do character dev, he's just sitting around till the action starts.

OOC: @Outis hit the nail on the head. Theres no point in me doing char dev since i have to go in less than an hour and my internet STILL GOES OFF AT 11!!
Also I don't know what Corvo's favourite food or drink is, any memories from his past. I know nothing side from events in the game with a low chaos playthrough. I try to imagine as someone with a temper, he'd rather not kill but come between someone he cares about or cross him personally and he'll kill you.
That and endless char dev is silly. WHats the point of having super-powered assasins, cyborgs and mages in one thread if all they do is natter on. If that was the case people may as well play as Bill the Pub Landlord, he works hard because his wif left him and left him with the kids but he keeps it quiet and soldiers on. He doesn't know however that his wife still loves him and only ran away because the child was a little shit.
you can be anyone in existance and we have people playing as humans with no special quirks or anything.

I had a similar reaction. I really don't understand this mindset.

@All: So I just realized that I current class cancelled for today... Oh well.

Bullet woke up and started to dress herself. Ratsel did as well.

OOC: Ah, right. Well, I thought you meant we were cutting storylines out completely in favour of constant, mindless battle with context whatsoever. If we could bring things back to the way they were in WAOA 1- where character development was just going on in the interlude between key events, then that would definitely be a step in the right direction.

Jensen sighed as he stepped out into the sunlight, flicking his shades on and glancing up and down the street. H had been hunting the stalker with the intensity that remained from his days as a DCPD officer, and as such, the destruction of the town seemed like nothing but a distraction. With the trail gone cold, the gravity of the situation now took hold, and he felt ashamed that he had done nothing to help the people.

OoC: @Berk Well, @Rosh and I did some brainstorming in the chat group. Go on there and look back a page or two.

Anyway, who's on, where are we, and am I wanted?

Corvo felt low as he trudged away from the village. He had hidden while it was destroyed, waited while it was erased. This people weren't from Dunwall, death was a blessing. A far kinder fate than that of the Rat Plague, the poor souls who fell ill and became Weepers were the worst of the lot.

OOC: When you sit in front of a computer for 6-8 hours waiting for someone to come on, only for them to come on 30 mins before work I don't think anybody would be in the mood for char dev after that.

OOC: I read a little bit of the chat stuff. I don't want to do a racing plot. I never had any interest in racing games. I think it would be pretty damn hard to get me interested in a story that was centered around racing.

Royce put on some more cloths and went for a run.

OoC: @Outis Yeah, a whole plot around racing wouldn't be good, but a chase or race sequence that's part of a bigger plot would be pretty cool if we pulled it off.

@Outis: Who said that it would be completely centered around that? One part of a much larger plot. Its certainly a change in the plot story, but it doesn't mean that its bad in any sense.

Bullet exited the ship as she started stretching and then started doing a regular routine of practicing.

Ratsel exited out side as she materialized the rifle she had from last night and started inspecting it.
