OoC: Right. Time to get this show on the road.
Elsewhere:
I stood at the gates of the Chambers of Fate, a moment of hesitation wieghing down my heart. Those apparitions disturb me. Were they but mere illusion, or truly glimpses of events yet to come? No matter, this is not the time to ponder such futilities. Kain - the tyrant awaited beyond the gates, vengeance within my graps. Soul Reaver - my eternal Wraithblade in hand, I step forward.
"At last. I must say I am disappointed in your progress. I had imagined you would be here sooner."
My tormenter greeted me, arrogant as always. A convinient rationalization for his every crime. I would hear his deceithful words no more, and so the next move in the game that is destiny was to be played.
For once, the opening move would go to me. Wasting no time, I charge at Kain in a straight line, only to jump to the side, against a pillar and pushing myself off that. Now coming from above, I thrust my blade downward, only to see it strike nothing but the ground. Kain had dispersed in a cloud of mist, moving away like dust on the wind. Turning around, I witnessed Kain rematerialising on the second tier of the chamber, infrond of a clockwork design. He moved its hands so that they pointed towards symbols of wich the meaning eluded me. At that moment, some manner of portal opened on the third tier of the chamber, oppisite of Kain and behind myself. What was he planing this time? Nothing that would bode well for me, of this I was certain. Wishing to block off this obvious escape route, I once again jumped up against the pillars, using them to quickly ascend the tiers and landing infront of the portal. For reasons unknown to me, Kain saw fit to smile, baring his vampire fangs. Once more he took on the form of a cloud of mist and floated towards me and rematerialised again. I swung my blade towards Kain, but he twisted around, evading the worst of the slash and only being wounded in the side. Turning to face me, Kain unleased a bolt of kenettic energy at me, not in an attempt to strike me down, it would seem, but rather throw me off-balance. Having ni choice but to attempt and evade the blast, I leapt to the side.
Making use of this oppertunity, Kain walked towards the portal.
"You nearly had me, Raziel. But this is not where, or how it ends. Fate promises more twists before this drama unfolds completely." Clutching his side, Kain stepped through the portal, escaping me once more.
Not intending to simply give up after having come so far, I too step through.

Drifting through ripples in time and space, I find myself on some manner of metal construct floating through the skies above seas of sand that reached as far as the eye could see. Looking around, I find myself wondering: What was this strange place?
