Ratsel descended down as she replaced her machine gun with a beam sabre, slashing at the infected.

The Grungust slammed down in a crowd of infected as the scimitar became the massive 9ft long Colossal Blade or Zankantou.

Bullet sat up looking at Yukino with curiosity and, above all, interest. "Really? How?"

Yukino sets Holly on the floor softly and gives Bullet a serious look. [color=BB66BB] "What is it that you want to improve most? I'm limited in what I can help you improve." [/color]

Rex shakes his armored hand a little bit as he walks over toward the next set of infected, launching vicious hook punches toward a few of them.

 

[Chungus]

Once my spell had ended, I cast a quick glance at the statues now surrounding me. The wretches final expression being that animalistic longing, the desire to feed. I was met with minimal remorse, however, upon finding that several of the feeling people had also been turned to stone. No matter. Even with the best of intension, it was imposible to save everyone. Seeing more of the creatures approach, I stand behind one of the statues and unleash a burst of telekenetic energy, sending it flying towards the horde.

 

[Random berk]

With Fenrich stepping up his game, the infected fell like broken toys, and Ratsel's weapon cut them down like wheat, as did the other mech. (Where the hell did this other thing come from?) The infected continued to attack, but some paused. Whatever primitive instincts drove them told the creatures that attempting to feed now would lead to destruction, and that they must seek the darkness and hide. Some of the creatures began to break off, ignoring both the civilians and their defenders, and slunk off into the shadows of side alleys and storm drains.

Many more of the creatures milled around Mercer, Ratsel, Raziel and the others but under their combined attacks, the crowd was thinning out fast. Meanwhile the terrified humans who had survived were now fleeing in only small numbers. Many were battered and scratched, but alive.

Valvatorez and Fenrich continued to slice apart whatever remained of the infected in the area

@Random: Rin has been around, stalking the group as well. She started this... a couple of days ago actually.

"COME BACK HERE!" Roared the Grungust, with a female tone, raising her Zankantou blade and slicing more infected.

"Glad you arrived my friend." Ratsel smirked, continuing her actions.

Bullet thought hard for awhile. "I... Need to be faster, stronger. Any training would be grateful. Anything. Like how you were able to block those slashes from that red haired guy. I've... always been offensive, not really caring for defense."

OoC: @Outis, the city is now pretty much screwed, monster infection thanks to @Random

 

[Chungus]

Seeing the creatures retreating only served to strengthen my resolve. Wishing ti give them no quarter and alow them to regroup, I aimed to slay as many of these scuddling beasts as posible. Jumping onto the hunched over back of one of the statues, I leapted toward a nearby wall, and pushing off against it upon contact. Using the momentum, I spun around in mid-air, cutting down any who were unfortumate enough to find themselves in my trajectory before coming to a halt when I hit the ground.

OOC: @Furi Eh, no like we were doing much with it anyway. Besides, when have we ever gotten through a thread without wiping out at least 95% of the Earth's population?

More and more infected began to break off as the IS suits continued to cull them. Mercer stopped and watched, knowing that the battle was over and waiting to see what the group would do next.

As Raziel dug in, the last of the infected ceased the assault and devoted their attention to fleeing. Many fell as they were attacked from behind, but many more disappeared into cover.

As Valvatorez and Fenrich continued to cut the stragglers down Valvatorez called out to those who ran "What kind of demons are you! Come back and fight to restore your honor!"

Yukino nods slightly, then slowly rises. [color=BB66BB] "To block something of that calibur, I simply needed to focus myself and all of my Chi... energy... SP... whatever you want to call it, into defense and seeing his attacks. So... the best way to help you is to teach you how to see attacks without your eyes, I believe." [/color]

Ratsel stopped her actions as she floated about before dematerializing her IS. The Grungust dematerialized revealing a semi-flat chested female, Chinese, looking serious over the carnage. Her brown hair in ponytails with a red-coat vest, she also had long silver colored military combat boots and in her hands, a scimitar much like her robot.

The infected that the group attacked fell, but now there were very few left in the street. Over a hundred had fallen to the group's attacks, but at least twice that number had disappeared. Mercer left his claws wither away, returning to the shape of normal human arms, which he crossed over his chest, and idly kicked at one of his kills, rolling it over to revealing the bulging, sightless eyes, frozen expression of rage and dark blood and bits of flesh dripping from its mouth and caught between its teeth.

I continued to chase the grotesque creatures down, striking at them whenever one came within range. Before long, my zeal had left me, and I realised that trying to kill all these creatures induvidually was like rolling a boulder up a hill. No, more drastic measure should be taken if this place was to be cleansed of the cancer then now grew within it.
