"Good night to the both of you." Yeul said to Valvatorez and Fennrich as they left, then looked up to Caius. "I am rather tired also. Shall we rest for the night?"
"Of course."

With that, the duo entered the appartment complex and found a unoccupied room. Yeul climbed into bed and fell asleep almost instantly. Caius pulled up a chair and positioned it near the bed and the exit. He too soon fell asleep.

I shrugged at the child. "Unfortunately, it is still rather heavy so I'll have to hold it up to you."

I rested the sword between my arms as I crouched down to Echo's level, extending my arms over to her with the sword.

Rex waves bye toward the girls before he tucks into bed himself.

"Rather heavy..." Echo muttered as she looked at the runes in the sword. She pointed to one and looked up at Riven.

"A rune of strength... Since this sword was once even heavier than it is now." I smiled at the child. It was obvious that this one wouldn't know anything about Noxian culture or wizardry...

Plus, I do happen to have a little spot for children, being the former poster child of Noxus and all.

"Rune of strength..." Echo repeated as she cautiously laid her hand on the sword and traced the lines of a few runes.

 

[CmmdrRosh99]

"A few more ok? I'm tired." I said firmly to Echo before continuing. "A rune of warriors and lastly" (OoC: Since the sword breaks around there) "A rune of death. But not because of what the weapon can do, but a lack of it for the owner."

Internally I sighed. There are two more runes left on the sword... And fate has it that it breaks there. The sword does indeed mirror it's owner.

"Warriors...and death..." Echo said as she shuddered and took her hand away from the sword. For a moment she was concerned about how to express her gratitude without speaking. She quickly decided that a quick hug and a smile would have to suffice. After that, she went to sleep next to Holly in the inn.

I was quite surprised with Echo hugging me, but did nothing against it. Back home, the children would respect you... and your personal space.

Brushing off the feeling, I headed back inside and fell asleep on the same bed as I woke up, with Aisha still snoozing away. Lazy foxgirl...

Night.

Bryce paused in his patrol to look out into the city. "You know, I bet if you took a picture of me right now, I'd look like some guy from fallout. Will wonders ever cease?" He shrugged and continued his patrol, wandering around the apartment.

Cath taps Bryce on the shoulder.
"Yo."

Bryce looked up, and turned to look at Cath. "Uh hey. You new?"

Eve continued making her way cautiously through the city whilst flanked by the large man. They had both encountered creatures that resembled the strange infected mutants that everyone else had been fighting in the lower city whilst they were searching for where the group had taken refuge.

At the base the group had attempted to raid previously, a contingent of Infantry Men as well as a separate contingent of Androids left the base and began scouring the city streets whilst both groups were being led by Overseers.

 

[FPSfanatic]

As the two overseer groups swung through the streets, they might encounter an iron legion team of flamers ridding the city of its dead and infected, escorted by several assault veterans.

 

[Sigma Castell]

"Yep".
Cath fishes a sachet of freeze-dried martini out of her pocket and tears it open.
"Where are we anyway?" she says, emptying the contents into her mouth.

 

[TilMorrow]

The contingent of Infantry Men engage the Iron Legion's Flamers and Assault Veterans head on at the order of their Overseer whilst the android contingent made their way behind the team and assaulted their flank.

 

[Sigma Castell]

Cath takes out a paintbrush and a pallet and starts painting swirls on the ground.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"I think it's some world called the expanse. Definitely not Earth. Names Bryce. You?" He lets his rifle drop as he holds out his left hand.

[hr]
The first flame veteran drops, unaware of the firing that had started. The others quickly rally and charge the infantry, flamers shrieking. The Assault vets hold back, firing their machine guns at exposed infantry, unaware of the flankers.

OoC I'll say 4 flame vets, 2 assault vets, eh?

"Cath. Nice to meet you, Bryce."
She pats him on the shoulder and starts painting green swrirls over the pruple ones.

OOC: @FPS: Wow they're pretty much swamped then. A contingent of Infantry Men would consist of at least 20 and A contingent of Androids would consist of 8.

The Infantry Men had set themselves up in two firing lines with their Overseer grouped in the rear line. They continued to fire on the group as a whole but the remaining flamers caught four men, setting them on fire and causing them to drop screaming in agony. The Assault Veterans were able to catch and put down three men with their fire. The Androids skulked up behind the group and then began hammering them with fire as their Overseer rushed in with his mace swinging.

Eve and her companion spied the fighting going on between the Iron Legion and Overlords and they hid whilst waiting for a chance to continue on safely.
