[Chungus]

As Rita removed the lid, a foul stench would rise up from the coffin as the gasses that had been building up within were released. Garzic's body had yet to enter even the early stages of decomposition, yet it could definitely not pass as living, with all pigment having left the skin, and the skin begining to peel back at the fingers, mouth and hairline.

Loki took a few steps back as the gas was released. "That is hardly a bad thing, however." he said to Rita, waving his hand infront of his face. Hearing the footsteps of Nybeth behind him, Loki turned around, a small grin on his face. "We have brought you a gift. Have a look."
[hr]
"I'm sorry, but I'm not alowed to show any of the projects. You could take a look at a airship engine, however. If you're able to make one of those smaller, then it might suit your needs." the lab assistant answered Ness.

 

[Furioso]

Rita backed off from the coffin "Eww..."

 

[DotSlash]

Ness sighed a small bit before nodding toward the assistant. "Alright then. I remember than that there aren't many airships around though. Where would I be able to look at one?"

 

[Chungus]

"Not the most pleasant of smells, no..." Loki said to Rita, sitting down on a boulder a good distance away from the coffin. "I have been meaning to ask, have you any theories on any new posibilities for spells?"
[hr]
"There are bound to be some docked airships because they're schechuled for maintainance. But, I can't really be sure. If there aren't any ships docked, you could look up some information. Stuff like that isn't all that hard too find."

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica backed up quite a bit from the coffin as it was opened, despite already being a fairly decent distance away from it.

Nybeth approached the coffin, barely even taking notice of the smell it was giving off. He looked at the state of Garzic's body, his expression remaining neutral until he noticed the massive head wound that resulted from Loki shooting Garzic in the skull at point blank range, at which point he frowned slightly. "Body condition is sub-par at best, but there might be something I can do with it."

 

[Furioso]

Rita thought for a moment "There will always be room for new spells, but I think I've reached the peak of my destructive power. As for now, I do have a few ideas that may not be as destructive as my latest creations, but they're very promising. I've been working on some focused magical energy beams similar to the lasers used by Legaia, though mine can have elemental properties attributed to them."

 

[DotSlash]

Ness nodded toward the lab assistant. "Alright... I'll see if I can do so. One last thing... Would you happen to know anything about old things being dug up? It's for something else on the side I'm looking into."

OoC: And I'm falling asleep...

"How much of the abilities he had in life will he retain, and how long will the... repairs take?" Loki asked Nybeth, then looked back to Rita. "I am not familiar with lasers. What would the potential of this spell be? Also, with the plans coming full circle, it could not hurt to think of things that would be of aid to my soon-to-rise kingdom other then sheer destructive power."

"Old things being dug up? Not that I know of." the lab assistant answered, then paused, placing a finger on his chin as he thought. "Oh! There was this one thing that we have been looking in to. Appearantly, it was uncovered in Granite Pass. The thing caused quite a bit of problems there, so I've heard."

 

[Drakmorg]

"I shall need to examine the corpse more, but at a cursory glance..." Nybeth looked back to Garzic's corpse. "...Well, at the very least we can use it as cannon fodder." He said then looked back up at Loki. "As for repairs, the only major damage I notice is neurological, so what can actually be done will take little time at all. The main problem is the irreparable damage done to the brain."

"The biggest advantage is the speed of the spell, it could help if we see that Legaian in the flying suit again. As for everything else, destructive power is my forte, but that doesn't mean I can't do anything else. I can command the ground, water, and fire, in addition I've been practicing with ice and wind. Command over these things will have a myriad of uses for you. I'm feeling tired though, can we continue this discussion tomorrow?"

OoC: Off to bed, Rita will go to sleep after Loki's reply, unless he has something for her to do in which case take control of her

OoC @Drak: O__O That is far too much power for any one woman to posses!

"Naturally. We will have the ardorous task of at last toppling Xiphatia tomorow, and you will be needed at full strength. Rest well." Loki answered Rita, then looked back to Nybeth. "That is a shame. Doubly so after effort was put in to retrieving it." he remarked, rubbing his temple with his left hand. "But for a change of topic, what if your reseach? Have any progress been made towards achieving true immortality?"

 

[Drakmorg]

Nybeth shook his head at Loki. "Unfortunately no. I've had few specimens to examine and experiment on past our most recent acquisition from that Legaian base some weeks back."

Meanwhile, having heard that they would staying in the mountains overnight, Jessica was working on setting up a large tent off in the scorched clearing that Rita had completely flattened.

 

[Chungus]

"I see. Well, what we must do tomorow ought to change the lack of specimens. I was told that there would be fifty men deffending the wing of the palace we need be. Retrieving the corpses would naturally, need to be done with haste, as the entire capital would be alerted. And in the future, when I have risen to power, I shall make certain of it you will have a menagerie of corpses to study, in addition to whatever funding you would need."

 

[Drakmorg]

"Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!!" Nybeth exclaimed, a grin forming on his face. "This is all quite spectacular news!" Remembering something, he snapped one of his fingers. A short while later, one of Nybeth's zombies emerged from his cave. It reached into the coffin and picked up Garzic's body, slinging it over its shoulder, then went back into the cave. "I shall see what I can do with the body you brought me soon enough. If nothing else, it should be functional on the most basic level by tomorrow."

 

[Chungus]

"Well, what sane person would not wish to support the search for immortality." Loki remarked, then looked at the zombie as it carried Garzic's corpse away. Looking back to Nybeth, he said, "Hmm... If it has lost the ability to use its magic, but can still walk, I can still see use for it. Posibly. If you could you conjure up that poison gas within its organs, it can be used as a walking bomb. I can see this being quite effective if we are to face a multitude of enemies." After having said that, and not having seen Jessica in a while, wondering where she had gone, Loki reaching for his pendant. Jessica, where have you gone?

 

[Drakmorg]

"I can name many. But that is beside the point. I feel I must thank you for this offer." Nybeth replied to Loki, giving him a bow. Though it took a few moments, he eventually managed to right himself again. He glanced back at the zombie entering his cavern and said, "As for that body, we shall simply have to see what I can do."

Having never actually set up a tent before, Jessica had quickly given up on the task. Instead she simply laid out on a sleeping bag as she gazed up at the night sky. Hearing Loki in her head, she grasped the pendant of her necklace through her shirt to call back to him. "I'm still here in the mountains. Just resting up like you ordered."

 

[Chungus]

Then I shall disturb you no further. Loki telepathically said to Jessica. Letting go of his pendant, he looked back to Nybeth. "Oh, I do not doubt it. It is as Rita had said to me at one point, common sense is supprisingly rare. With raising the dead alone, I see nothing but benefits. A chance for fallen servants to dutifully continue their service, rather then wastefully returning to where it is from whence their spirits came. Not to mention it being a effective way to turn what enemies may fall in battle into faithful servants. Now, if immortality is actually achieved... Needless to say, the benefits would be without end."

 

[Drakmorg]

"I care little for what is actually done with my zombies. They are imperfect by-products of my experiments. In that way, they are little but failures." Nybeth scratched at his beard for a moment. "Or perhaps failure is the wrong word...they are more like steps. Still, they have their uses. Some can actually see value in their use as you can, and I have had business arrangements made with such people previously."

 

[Kirke]

Tophat made the guard outside its and its body's cell open the doors, then made its body go pick up Tophat. With a small modification to everyone he would come past: They couldn't see this body. It wasn't invisible, just that Tophat had gone into their minds and made it look like the body wasn't there. For them, everything seemed normal, including the body still lying in the cell. When the body picked up Tophat, it also seemed to disappear, yet still lie where it was supposed to. Tophat walked out of the cell and towards the place where its stuff was kept, going slowly to focus on altering the guard's minds in a similar fasion as before and avoid bumbing into any of them.

 

[Chungus]

"I understand. They are but small things in the grand scheme of it. But indeed, they are useful still." Loki answered, then stood up and stretched. "I shall go rest now. We shall speak again tomorow." With that, Loki returned to the dragon den, where Rita had gone to sleep previously. He sat down against the stalagmite, and fell asleep soon after.
