@Nail: Welp, time to go kill more nobles then.

Ness seemed to sigh and nod a bit. "Understood. Thank you for trying, sir." She quickly turned and left the room after bowing toward the Srg. Major again.

Having nothing to do and knowing she wouldn't get into the lab, she decided to talk to Jessica for a bit. "Jess? Hello?"

Valentine thought for a moment. "Well I promised Dizzy I'd go back to work in a few days" Valentine said. "But that was a few weeks now...hopefully they have forgotten and we can sneak away from them" she said to Erica with a smile. just then, blue feathers started to swirl around the room and a figure stepped forward. "Going somewhere, Miss Valentine?" the figure asked, as he looked over at Valentine and Erica.

"Now, with that out of the way. Nybeth, you mentioned you were able to salvage some of the magical abilities of the late king?" Loki asked, picking up the map and folding it over twice, then storing it inhis unseen inventory. When done, he looked to Nybeth.
The ice table slowly began melting.

Alerted by the blue feather swirling around the room, Erica quickly moved away from the bed. Turning towards the portal as it manifested, Erica held a sphere of electricity in her right hand, and a shimmering, colourless one in the other, although she kept both hands at her side for the moment, only having her spells readied as a precaution. "Who are you?" she asked Dizzy, with a somewhat demanding tone.

Jessica stood up straight when she felt Ness contact her mind. "Vanessa? What's up?" She telepathically replied.

"I believe so. I am uncertain how much though, as I have yet to have time to perform such testing." Nybeth replied to Loki.

Dizzy looked at Erica with a sort of unamused look. "Dizzy, and I've come for Valentine..." She said to Erica, her tone sounding rather bored. "Sorry Dizzy, but I'm not going back. I've worked for you, Nerco and Undine for along time, so such so I nearly forgot my friends!" She said, slightly angry, Dizzy seemed to look down. "Oh...Nerco isn't going to be happy..." She said as her left wing formed a grim reaper face. "Valentine! you have 10 seconds to come with us or so help me!" "Now now now, let's stay calm" Undine spoke as her angel face imprinted on Dizzy's other wing, she then looked down at Erica. "Who would you be, my child?" she asked with a small smile.

"Well... my lead went dead again... so I'm gonna try to help you out with what you're doing. Is that alright?" Ness telegraphed as she found herself a secluded spot to teleport from.

 

[Furioso]

Rita had nothing to add.

"If you would test how much of it it has retained now. This is not a thing I would leave to chance." Loki said to Nybeth. "While on the subject, how many thralls do we still have, and how many are Legaian, and how many are Xiphatian?"

As Erica watched Dizzy's wings come to life, the majority of her bemusement at someone randomly appearing in her room was replaced by amazement. Although she was still on edge not remembering Valentine mention Dizzy before. Sentient wings? Even after all these years, there are still things that can amaze me. Good to know. "I'm Erica. Valentine is a dear friend of mine." she answered Undine. Given that Undine acted as a voice of reason, Erica lowered her guard, and disipated the spells she had readied. "Now, forgive me, but you... three appearing in my room, unnanounced, and then demanding my friend comes with you, this is a thing I don't appreciate." she added, pausing as she said "you three", not sure wherther to refer to Dizzy and her wings as a single entity or not.

Dizzy rubbed the back of her head. "Oh yeah...sorry about that" she said to Erica. Nerco gave a "hmm" response. "I don't care, Valentine is my worker I need her back!" Undine seemed to smile. "Ah! your the Erica I've heard much of..." She said sincerely. "Miss Valentine, is it true she is your friend?" "Yes of course, me and Erica have gone through more things then anyone normal person has ever witnessed, it took me a while to realize how much I missed her company. that is why I can't go back..." Valentine said defensively. "I see, well then there is nothing more I can do then..." Undine said with a smile.

"Well...we've kinda already got everything under control...not sure if there's anything you really could do to help...and don't worry about it anyway...I'm sure you've got better things to do..." Jessica telepathically replied to Ness. She kept her thoughts to herself as she adopted a tense posture. If she sees what I've been up to, there's no way in hell she'd ever speak to me again...

"I shall do so post-haste." Nybeth replied to Loki. "As for numbers, I still have somewhere around 60 or so Legaian zombies, thanks to our raid on that base. Xiphatian zombies are something I somewhat lack for though, I barely have 10 still left."

"...Are you sure? The reason my lead went dead was because I was considered useless... This kind of sucks to hear... The only way I could do anything is to try and break the law in a large town with barely any ammo on me. It's not going to happen..." Ness telegraphed to Jess, sounding a bit depressed.

Bryce teleported in front of Ness, his duster soaked in his own blood. "Oh Ness, thank fuck you're all right. Thought Jess and her insane group might have gotten to you already."

 

[Chungus]

"Ten is enough to complete our objectives. Once the entrance is sealed, they need only remain at the rear and protect Rita and myself, and the other thralls." Loki said to Nybeth after a moment's thought. Seeing Jessica's tense posture, and having noticed the minor change in posture earlier, he questioningly asked, "You look ill at ease. What is the matter?"

"She has been working for you for the better part of three centuries. Surely she is alowed leave after such a time of service?" Erica asked Necro. She smiled upon hearing Valentine's words, and more so upon hearing Undine's. "So... She is alowed to stay a while longer then?"

 

[Furioso]

Rita looked curiously at Jessica once Loki pointed out her nervousness.

Undine nodded to Erica with a pleasant smile. "She can travel with you for as long as she wishes or you wish to" Nerco on the other hand didn't like this idea. "Hang on, I gave her powers as part of the trade, I'm not wasting them on someone who's taking a break" "Oh Nerco lighten up, Miss Valentine has a special friend in her life the least we can do is let her spend time with her" Nerco only grumbled at Undine, muttering and cursing under it's breath. "Thank you Miss Undine, I promise I will come back to you one day" Valentine said with a small bow. "Take as long as you wish Valentine, I hope your travels with Miss Erica will be fun"

Ness looked over toward Bryce and sighed a bit before holding his shoulder and teleporting the duo on the path between Holadino and Port Letosh. Afterward, she started to heal Bryce, assuming that the blood was due to some wounds. She kept a neutral face as she did so. "What are you talking about, Mr. Logan? Supposedly you attempted to mess with their plans." She replied flatly, though doubt was more than creeping in her mind.

"It's not that you're useless, no...that's far from the case...it's just that...we pretty much have everything under control...it's not that you wouldn't add anything...but that there's really just nothing that needs to be added is all..." Jessica mentally replied to Ness. Lying is a lot harder than I remember... She thought, keeping her words to herself in that instance. She looked up when Loki spoke to her. "Hmm? Oh, it's nothing. Don't mind me."

Nybeth nodded to Loki, then went off to his corner to test what the Garzic zombie was capable of.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"First things first, are you talking to Jess right now? If so, don't tell her I'm with you. I want to get a word in edgewise before she disagrees with me. Afterwards, fine, ask her side of the story." Bryce waved Ness away. "Already took care of the wounds, just haven't had time to remove the stains on the duster."

 

[DotSlash]

Ness complied, moving her hand away before nodding toward Bryce. "Alright then. I'm not talking to Jess right now. What happened?"

"In other words, useless. Jess, don't try to sugarcoat things for me. I can handle it..." Ness replied before pausing a bit. "...Mr. Logan is here in front of me... with blood all over him. He said he was around your group. ...Can you please explain this for me?"

 

[Chungus]

Nybeth would find that the Garzic zombie would not be able to summon the ethereal knights, regardless of how poor a condition the zombie was in.

"That did nothing to convince me. But I care not to know of what goes on in your private life, so I shall not to ask on the matter further." Loki answered Jessica, then, after a pause, added, "Begin creating a portal to the palace. We will set out when Nybeth has finished testing the capabilities of the late king."

Erica laughed happily upon hearing the news. "You have my thanks, as well as hers." she said to Undine, then extended a hand towards Dizzy, seeing as Undine had no hands to shake.
