When Ness stated her name, the Sgr. Major tapped on the glass surface of his desk again, which now displayed the keys of a keyboard. He pulled up a file and read through it. Should she read backwards, Ness would find that it was a file of her persona. "We've had no information on you up until recently, when you signed up for a job at the laboratories in Port Letosh. So, why are you, an outsider, and appearantly a scientist, suddenly be interested in joining the military?"
Ness thought for a moment. "Well... I'm good as an organizer and as a leader. Another thing would be finding solutions to problems, however odd or eccentric those ideas may be. Great with computers or technology in general... I have some skill with guns, best with either snipers or pistols... And I'm not one to give up on anything... or anyone until they're proven to be worthless..." Most of that was useless, wasn't it...?

The MPs reacted diffirently to what they expirienced, but things to all shared was was dropping their weapons, falling to their knees and crying and horror and pain. Suffice it to say, none were able to fight back.
The four prison guards back off further, but drew a batton. "What the hell is going here?!"
Hearing the cries and screams coming from the lobby of the prison, the fourty MPs still outside looked disturbed, most of them pondering wherther or not they should enter also, while others thought about requesting backup.

The nightmares stopped, and the ten guards would see the true extent of Tophat's power and experience. Hundreds of years of fighting and training, all of it incomprehensible, yet showing the thoughts of a mind far greater than their own.

"Freak of nature... I'll tell you what's gonna burn. It won't be us." the leader remarked with anger, picking up his sword and turning to Tophat. "Men! Take positions, and strike this thing down!"
Wasting no time, the eight MPs moved to block off Tophat's escape, while two stayed behind their ranks to keep up a barrier. Two MPs to the left and right of the squad used their earth magic to raise an earthen wall from the ground at both sides of Tophat, two MPs in the center of the squad crouched down and unleashed a jet of flame using both their hands, while the remaining to did the same, but remained standing.

Tophat stood still, and as the MPs tried to move, they all felt like their brains were on fire, paralyzing them. The four guards and warden were also paralyzed, but not nearly as painfully.
"You have no idea what you are dealing with." - It said as the guards felt more and more pain, a fire hotter than any real flame, until they became unconscious. All except the leader, who Tophat kept awake. It knelt down so it was in eye level with him.
"Listen carefully, for this is your last warning. I wield powers beyond your imagination. I can inflict deaths more painful than your bodies would ever allow. However, my quarrel is not with you, but the being who murdered the Lieutenant Colonel. I will let you live, for I am no murderer and you will tell your allies that. But if any of you try to take me down, I will inflict wounds that no healer can mend. I will put you in a coma filled with pain and nightmares, that you will never wake from. The pain you feel now is but a sliver of what I am capable of. Stay out of my way, and none of you need to die."
With that, Tophat turned and left the room, heading deeper into the prison. Five minutes later, the paralysis and pain would stop, the lead MP staying awake through all of it.

Turning around, Loki saw that Jessica still slept, and that Nybeth was setting up his equipment, and doing work on his zombies. Not wishing to disturb either of them, albeit not for selfless reasons, he walked over to Rita instead. "We have discussed the future of my kingdom as a whole, but what of you? What will you be doing in times to come? The position I will grant you once I rise to power is a position where one is answreable to none but myself, meaning you will the freedom to do as you desire, for the most part."

The MPs eagerly obliged, leaving the prison quickly. When they did, the head reached for his pendant to contact Estella.

Estella thought for a moment, letting go of her pendant to keep her thoughts private. Heading further into the prison? Is he planning to free the prisoners? "Hmm..." Reaching for her pendant again, Estella answered, For now, seal of the entrance.

"How did you learn of this, and why weren't we informed sooner?" Amalia asked, somewhat angrily.

This can be no coincidence. As for why I failed to inform you of this, the situation required imediate decisions were made. Had things been done by going through the propper channels, a reaction might have come to slow, resulting in the threat escaping again. My appolagies, but I believed this was the correct course of action."
"So... You saw fit to call a state of emergency without our approving this, yet you come before us not to for approval of this method?"
"Yes, my queen. With one of them now trapped, this grants us a little extra time. But still, there must be a responce quickly, before the shape shifter attempts to free its accomplice."
Both Valentino and Amalia were silent for a moment, but eventually, Valentino answered, "Fine. Do it. But once this is done, you'll face the consequences for making decisions without our say so. Understood?"
Estella bowed. "Of course." As she made to leave, Estella reached for her pendant to contact the MPs outside the prison. Your orders are to aid in the evacuation of Farwind Penetentiary.

Lowering the barrier blocking the exit, the MPs instructed the warden and prison guards to evacuate the prison, then aided the prison personel in doing so.
Meanwhile, Estella requested twenty fire golems be sent to the prison.
