So this was cut via laser... That must've been from whoever found this thing. I would've thought they'd try not to keep a radioactive object for themselves... I'm crazy enough for doing it... Wait... maybe... Thinking them to be pieces of the ball, Ness tried to gather the clean cut pieces and shape them together back into the thing they had been before.

 

[Furioso]

"Ok, so how did he know where you were?" asked Rita.

OoC: And since I got stuck with the morning shift tomorrow I gotta get going to bed, good night, Rita will follow, etc etc

 

[Chungus]

"A trans-dimensional orginisation of investigators? This makes things a great deal more bothersome..." Loki remarked, clenching his left hand into a fist. "But, yes. How did he know how to find you exactly? Can that person, if he can be called that, track the movements of anyone, or is it something more specific?" he asked Jessica.

Ness would find that placing the cleanly cut pieces together would form a spherical indentation on one side, and rough edges on the other, indicating that these were the stones that once covered the sphere before being unearthed.

Ness sighed before getting up and beginning to walk away, her PDA doing pretty much all the work it was required for. For precaution's sake, she kept the suit on as she moved back toward the lift. Alright then... so who has it...? Maybe I should've asked for it before I came down here.

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica gave Loki a shrug. "I don't think he can 'track' people, per se. If my assumption is correct, he can teleport next to anyone just by thinking about them. I don't think he can use it to track people otherwise though, since he came to me to ask about a friend of mine. Said something about not wanting to drop in at an inopportune time or something." She answered.

Nybeth emerged from his cave after he finished packing up his things. A small handful of zombies followed behind him, carrying a few objects as well.

 

[Chungus]

"I see..." Seeing Nybeth leave the cave, Loki manifested the map in his free hand. "More on that matter later. For now, time to relocate. Have you ever been here?" he asked, pointing towards the temple ontop of the mountain south of Holadino.

Ness would find a buttom to call the left on a pad hanging by the right side of the wall. When she would take the lift up, Ness would be surrounded by a warm, green light coming from what appeared to be lamps on either side of the lift.

Jessica nodded to Loki to express her acknowledgment of the change of subject. She looked carefully at his map and where he was pointing. "Yeah, I've been there before. Twice actually." She answered.

As she stepped onto the lift and took the lift up, she looked at the green lights and sighed a bit. "So... a job well done... or do I need to go back...?" She stretched for a bit as the lift rose up.

 

[Chungus]

"Well then, if you would make a portal there. It is a suitable place for Nybeth to move to. A secluded placed, for the most part shielded from the elements." Loki said to Jessica, the mao disappearing in a dim flash of blue light.

Once the lift reached the top, after three seconds, there would be a pinging noise, then the lights shut off, and the railings went down, alowing Ness to step out.

"How'd it go?" the soldier, who had been waiting by the exit, asked Ness.

 

[DotSlash]

Ness nodded toward the soldier, smiling a small bit as she took off her suit. "I managed to clean up that heavily contaminated area, if the green lights mean that... But a quick question: Do you know where that sphere that was dug up is now? That thing could be dangerous to hold, I should clean it as well."

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica nodded and went through her normal process for creating a portal, generating a fully functional one-way dimensional gate that led to the courtyard of the ruins atop the mountains far south of Holadino. After her associates had gone through the portal, she would clean up the portal and join them using her own teleportation.

OOC: I'm tired...calling it a night here.

 

[Chungus]

Loki and Rita both stepped through the portal. It being late, they would find a place to sleep, far away from where Nybeth would set up shop.

"The green lights? Nah, those just neutralise the radiation clinging to you. Anyways, a sphere? If it's the source of the contamination you're talking about, it was sent to the lab in Fourside, I think." the soldier answered Ness.

 

[DotSlash]

Ness blinked for a bit before nodding and folding up the suit. "I see... I've been there before, but I saw nothing of it. ...Do you think you could clear me for a higher level clearance for clearing that shaft out? I know I said I didn't want anything before... but I really don't feel right without that thing being destroyed." She said to the soldier as she walked to the equipment shed to stash the suit.

 

[Chungus]

"Me? No, I couldn't do that. I'm not exactly high on the ladder." the soldier answered as he followed Ness, unlocking the equipment shed once he and Ness arived there. "You could ask for a higher clearance at the government building in Fourside, but unless you're working in the lab already, or with the military, I don't see that happening, honestly."

 

[DotSlash]

Ness thought for a few moments as she stored the suit and walked back out. "...Well, I only visited the lab, I'm not exactly working with them... Looks like that only leaves conscription..." Jess really isn't gonna like this... but I'm not giving up after coming so close...

 

[Chungus]

"Good to hear. I could take you to see the Sergeant Major right now if you want. He'll go through the motions with you."

 

[DotSlash]

Ness nodded toward the soldier. "Thank you. I'll try my best..." Hopefully... I won't need to do anything overly drastic...

 

[Chungus]

The soldier lead Ness to the main building of the military outpost. Going inside, he lead her to the second floor, stopping at the second door on the left. After the soldier knocked on the door, there sounded a "Enter." The soldier opened the door, and stepped inside, saluting.

At a desk sat a man with red hair and yellow eyes. He looked up to Ness, asking, "Is that so... Why?"

Ness looked toward the Srg. Major and stood up straight. "I just wish to help end this war. That's all."

 

[Chungus]

"Alright then. What's your name?" the Srg. Major asked, and as he did, tapped on the glass surface of the table, making a holographic screen appear.
