Ness could potentially see that the projection, was just that, having no physical pressence.

"Far be it for me to shun one who would offer the promise of aid." Loki remarked. But first. The real Loki stepped closer to Ness and presed the longer blade of the scepter against her chest. Should no piece of technology be between it and her heart, the same would befall her as those that came before.

The blade of the scepter would hit against a piece of tech embedded near her heart. Of all things, it was the tracker that Rex was using to determine her position, also explaining how he'd be able to tell how she's doing. Loki might feel a small vibration due to this.

Feeling her chest moved by something hidden and noting that the Loki she'd seen was a projection, Ness quickly swung a hard roundhouse kick in front of her. "Nice trick... I couldn't see through it." If she hit and Loki uncloaked, she'd be able to see his weakpoints.

Jessica started quickly backing away from the scene with Ness and Loki as she noticed it began to escalate into violence. Oh God dammit this just went from bad to worse...what the hell am I supposed to do now?

Loki raised an eybrow in confusion upong seeing that Ness wasn't showing the signs of her being placed under his control. Due to the confusion, he couldn't dodge in time. The kick connecting, Loki was pushed backwards. Regaining his balance, he dispelled the projection, and lifted his shroud, where it was revealed he was looking quizically at his scepter. "This usually works..." Looking back to Ness, he glared at her, before grining slightly. "No matter. I will give you this one chance to save your own life and stand down. I suggest you take this offer, for you will most certainly not be in any way victorious here." Having said that, Loki shrouded Jessica instead.

Loki's was revealed by be many times more dense then his appearance lead on, leading to him being more resistant to damage. His eyes were the most vulnerable point of his body.

OoC: Right. And I'm off. Time bubble ahoy.

Bryce waited a moment. "What's the PDA say now?"
OoC So, are Rex and Bryce timebubbled as well, or shall we say they couldn't see the occurrence?

Tophat grunted in annoyance as the fire golems started burning the place.
(To Jessica: Hey, uh, Jessica? If you can hear me, I could really use some help here.)
OoC: I know there's a time bubble going on, but I'll add this to it.

Ness would find herself unable to move. Rita, who had been behind her for just such an occasion, had struck her with her whip like scroll weapon, and the scroll and Ness were stunned as a wave of power extended from Rita to Ness's back. Once it struck her it would feel as though a force akin to a shotgun blast had hit her in the back. The whole process lasted about half a second. It wasn't close to life threatening, but Rita thought it would drive Loki's point home.

Ness screamed out before and shook a bit as Rita struck her in the back. She looked back toward Rita and back to Loki.The girl sighed before summoning two magnums in her hands, one gold one black as usual. ...That must be the magician Bryce was talking about... This won't be easy at all... "I'll leave... as long as I can take Jessica with me." She said, a bit pained as she kept the magnums to her sides for the moment.

Loki mockingly chuckled in response to Ness. "What makes has lead you to believe you are in a positions to make demands? You are woefully outnumbered here. And even if you do by some miracle survive, I can have you hunted down relentlessly. But, fortunately for you, I am not particularly inclined to wish for your demise." he remarked, starting to walk in a circle around Ness. "These are your options - You can take your leave now, join your friend in service to me. Or, you will parish. Do consider carefully."

Rita stepped back and opened her still glowing book. Nothing happened, but it was pretty obvious that she was threatening to make use of whatever the glow could mean.

Ness followed Loki with her eyes when she could and thought a bit. Seeing Rita already prepped for another spell, she bit her lip a bit. ...That girl could have killed me if she wanted to. And if that man cloaks again, I'm done... Obviously, I don't want to work with him... but... I doubt even with reinforcements that I or the others could be able to win. But if I leave, he'll kill me, despite what he's saying. ...No choice then.

The fedora girl digitized her magnums and raised her hands in surrender. "....I'll join you." Not like I can do anything else to try and end this war anyway...

Bryce looked to Rex. "How's it looking over there?"

Rex looked at the PDA and the HP bar flickered a small bit. [color=000066] "She just took a hit. Let's move..." [/color] Just then, a message popped up on the screen.

 I'm sure Mr. Logan will be angry, but I'm joining this group. They have a completely undetectable cloaking system with them. Neither of you will be able to win. Also, they didn't manage to brainwash me like they did Jess, thankfully. You'll probably ignore me anyway, but please... don't try to fight them... without reinforcements at least.

"And here I thought common sense was dead." Loki dryly remarked, stopping infront of Ness, looking her in the eye with an indicenrable expression. "A wise choice." Looking to Rita, he said, "Bind her limbs with earth."

 

[Furioso]

Rita nodded and shut her book before charging her magic, and subsequently causing the rock beneath them to rise up and surround Ness's arms and hands.

Ness simply bowed her head down as Rita binded her. Awesome... I'm a prisoner... again.

She looked back to where she last saw Jess and sighed. And I can't hear or see anything she's doing. I've probably worried her to death by prodding into this... I'm such an idiot.

Bryce read the message, and thought for a moment. "I can get a team together, from where I'm from. Maybe call in a favor with a balancer, though I doubt that would go over well with high command. It'll take about a day, but the team wouldn't have a problem doing the dirty deeds needed now."
