Between them, they got Charlotte up onto the cart. The wild man shrank away to the back as they did so, looking at the body with worry, and at the Rookie with clear dislike. He jumped over the side of the cart as they finished, stumbling on the ground before regaining his balance and coming around to the back where he could see them.

Savranth woke up and walked out to the beach.

OoC: It looks like everyone is outside. Sorry, I was up rather late last night.

Makoto looked at Charlotte worriedly, then the wild man. "She's ill. You allright?"

 

[Slenn]

OOC: Back.

While the room was locked, Dal'Sheed thought this would be a good moment to head back to D'ni. He opened up the linking book for D'ni and placed his hand on the panel.

During his time there, he restocked his inventory with food and a set of camping materials, as well as some sellable items. He also turned in a weekly report to the Guild of Maintainers.

He then linked back to the Age of Alnilam. But since the linking book to Alnilam linked to the alter, he had to make his way back to the inn on foot. Once he was there he unlocked the door and got his book to D'ni back. He turned in his keys and went outside again.

The Rookie glanced at the wild man, then backed off and shook off his hands. Having trouple cleaning them off, he walked down towards the beach.

OoC @Berk: So, Lakewest then. Kewl.

In the late morning, much of Lakewest still slumbered. Those that were awake were either going about their business in their homes, the few shopkeepers opening, and the few soldiers who were doing their morning exersises, while others soldiers returned form their posts on the walls surrounding Lakewest to the barracks, the night shift having come to an end. Some civilians who saw Charlotte collaps, but none had any idea how severe her situation was, as none saw her throwing up blood. And seeing she was tended to b Cynane, most of them returned to what they went to do before getting sidetracked.

As Rita walked towards the direction the laughter came from, she entered the forest, the trees csting eerie shades on the ground in the faint light the moon gave off. Occasionaly, there were noises as small rodents scampered away in the undergrowth.

Walking at a quick pace, Loki soon catched up to Rita. "I do hope you have knowledge on how to ward off spirits, else you may yet end up joining them in unlife." he tauntingly remarked.

Not soon after Loki said this, another chuckle sounded throughout the woods, this time. It sounded like that of a child.

 

[Random berk]

The wild man squinted in confusion as Makoto spoke. He looked as though he recognised human speech, but didn't understand it, like someone who could determine the sound of two different languages, but could not speak either of them.
"Don't bother. I don't think anything gets through to him." Cynane said without looking over at them, settling hte tarp over Charlotte so that it would keep her warm, while trying to keep the tarp as clean as possible.

He walked up to Cynane and company.
"What's happened?"

"Ah well." Makoto looked at Charlotte. "What do you think's wrong with her?"

 

[Furioso]

"Sh-shut up! I-I've taken care of ghosts before!" said Rita, continuing to approach the laughter

 

[Saltyk]

Savranth, having spotted the group, walks up to them. "Is that girl okay?" He asked of Charlotte.

"Ah well." Makoto looked at Charlotte. "What do you think's wrong with her?"

OOC: Just a remark on the wild man. For as long as he remains unable to speak English, if there's something that I need to get across, I'll have Cynane make an observation. Only if its something that she'd be able to figure out though. And she won't always be dead-on. As for him, obviously he isn't just going to instantly regain the ability to speak, but he may or may not get it back at all, depending on... well, if anything happens that I can use to have him remember or relearn the language.

"How would I know?" Cynane exclaimed to the others, examining Charlotte. "Like I say, I've never seen anyone in this bad a state before. Most of the times I've seen people bleeding on the inside, its from a hard blow to the stomach and chest, from a wyvern's tail or claw. We should check for bruising and abrasions on her torso. With as much blood as that though, I'd guess it was some kind of poison." As she spoke she pulled up the lip of Charlotte's shirt (or whatever she's wearng) to expose her belly.
"No bruising."

"Hmm... I don 't remember her eating anything funny or getting stung by anything..."

OoC @Furioso: Zeph will take over GMing this thing.

"As you say. I was only making sure. It would be a shame if this show of bravery was rewarded only withmeeting your doom." Loki answered, twirling the scepter around between his fingers. "Oh. And should we find it, be it an actual spirit or no, let us try and reason with it before anything else. I would hardly think that woman at the tavern will give us our just reward should we return with little more then a tale."

Off in the distance, the very faint glow of green could be seen, not enough to be apparent from one's peripheral but if they were looking right at it they could see it.

From over Rita's shoulder she thought she heard a little voice say. "Boo!"

 

[Slenn]

"Internal bleeding perhaps? Are her pupils dilated?"

 

[Random berk]

OOC: Wait, shit. That green light was meant for Loki and Rita, wasn't it? Never mind.

"Pupils dilating? What does that have to do with internal bleeding?" Even as she asked, Cynane did as she was told, checking the eyes.
"I... don't think so. No, no they aren't."

 

[Furioso]

When she heard the "Boo" Rita yelled "Ahhh!" and reflexively turned around swinging her heavy book at the voice.

"Anyone know what happened to her just before? Shall I try to use some healing magic on her? It might settle her stomach if nothing else." Savranth asked the group.
