Jessica shrugged and took her camera back from Rex. After seeing his reaction to her expression, she said in a rather flustered fashion. "What? T-That's not what I was doing at all!" Dammit! Now I lost my train of thought. Wishing to change the subject, she very quickly said to Ness, "Yes! Good idea! We will definitely need money soon! Need to find something to do to get some!"
Turning to Kyouske, she said, "I guess we could check the hotel out. We don't have any money though."
Hearing Lyra, Jessica turned and said to her, "They, uh, don't use gold here. Apparently they use 'credits' in Legaia."

 

[Saltyk]

The clerk goes and retrieves a few room keys, shaped like cards, and places them on the desk. "There you go. Will there be anything else?" The keys are for rooms, 517 and 519.

 

[Furioso]

Rita continued her drawing "Yea, I would have made a fire or something to dry them, but I doubt that would've gone over well here."

Rex points at Ness's hat as Echo talks to him. "She never takes this thing off, so we call her Fedora jokingly." He puts his hand down and shrugs a bit. "...and she's my boss back in our world. I make money helper to test some stuff. You could say we're a pretty big technology development company."

The guy seems to not be put off by Athena staring at his hand, as if he'd become used to it. He shakes her hand back firmly. "Nice to meet ya, Cap'n Athena.... Sorry, but I really like being informal with people. Hope ya won't mind."

Rex scratched the back of his head and chuckled a bit. "It was just a joke, Doc. No need to get all flustered." Sighing at Rex's behavior, Ness nods toward Jessica. "We could always start at the hotel, I suppose. Perhaps they could use a couple of dishwashers for the night."

After walking back into the deceased man's home cloaked, she curls up into a ball in another room away from the one with the corpse as she drifts off to sleep.

"How about a place to sleep though?" Charlotte said, hearing Kyosuke and started making way to the hotel.

"No money huh?" Kyosuke hmmed back. "Ehh, what the hell? Let's see what's up."

Noel looked around the hotel, unsure of what to do.

I guess it's.... no cost.
"Nothing. We'll be fine. Just... avoid panic." And with that he took his key for his room. "Goodnight, Savranth. It's been good talking to you."

 

[Chungus]

"In a nation of mages, I do in fact believe none would think ill of it." Loki remarked as he sat down opposite Rita, slightly curious as to what she was doing. "Magic seems to be used for even the most menial of tasks, afterall."

"I suppose that's important too, meow." Tao said as she followed close behind Charlotte. She made sure to drag Saya along with her.

"Technology...development...company..." Echo said as she scratched her head, trying to understand the meaning behind the collection of words.

OOC: Going to bed. Echo will follow Ness, and Tao will follow Charlotte with Saya. Goodnight.

"Yeah, it was... Goodnight." Savranth replied, and took a key, himself.
He looked back to see Noel and waved her to approach.

Dal'Sheen would find that the room was rather nice and large. The clerk had given him a key for a nice room, if not a penthouse.

Athena took her hand away from Rex. "Actually, I do mind. I won't have you touching me like that."

"Oh. Well, we should still poke our heads in. Maybe they'll want to reward us for saving the town?" Lyra asked, a bit unsure of herself and trying to figure out where she'd seen Rex before. She felt she had, and kept coming up with images of... an orange rat? She shook her head, and began walking to the hotel areas.

Dal'Sheed got ready for bed and went to sleep, locking the door.

Rita continued her work. "Fire. They don't like fire around here, at least not the living tree creatures. One was watching me just outside the forest edge where I had a little campfire going, I got the sense that it would have tried to kill me if one of the trees had caught fire."

Noel walked over to Savranth as did Kyosuke as well. "Hmmm... This panic... But either way, looks like you have a room." She said, eyeing the key.

Rex chuckles a bit toward Athena, seemingly unphased by her reaction. "Alright, I'll keep my hands off ya, Cap. So do you have a spare map I might be able to take notes on?" Ness passes her 19G to Rex as he says this. "Oh... Thanks, Ness."

Ness sighs a bit as Echo seems to not understand. "Don't worry about it, Echo. All that doesn't matter while we're both here.."

 

[Saltyk]

"Looks that way... Though, I'm pretty certain that is more due to my clothing than anything else..." Savranth replied. He looked at Kyosuke. "Who is this?"

Athena's eyes narrow at Rex, she didn't like his laughing at her. "Can't say I have a map on me. I was about to return to the General and return to base to plan out our future assaults into the Legaian territory."

 

[Chungus]

"I had assumed that you meant starting a fire with a spell, as you struck me as another mage, since I have yet to see you use an actual weapon. But to the point, as long as it is not done in the forest near the treants--wich appearantly is the name of these creatures--starting a fire should not be a problem. Afterall, how else would these people warm their abodes and cook."

Jessica glared at Rex for a few moments, then chuckled, "I guess you did get me pretty good there." Facing, Lyra, she replied, "I'm pretty doubtful that they'd even know who we are. But you're welcome to try. I think I'll just head back home."
Jessica sneezed again as she conjured up the glyphs around her head.
Get me the hell out of here.

Oh go to hell! She thought as the glyphs disappeared.
"So...who wants to check out that hotel with me?" She asked, then walked into the building, approaching Kyouske, Noel and Savranth as she saw them in the lobby.

"Yo~!" Noel just sighed then said. "Unfortunately I don't think we have anything to barter with at the moment."

"There's always fallin' asleep in the lobby."

Charlotte had picked up Tao and Saya and followed after the two.

Rex tilts his head a bit at what Athena says. "...I see. Then I'll see if I can buy a map once you finish with your meeting there."

He smiles a bit and waves bye as Jessica leaves.

Ness and Echo follow Jessica inside the hotel.

"I HAD meant starting a fire with a spell, I am a mage. That said, I figured that I would play it safe with starting fires around here. These people live here, the "treants" have probably been around them long enough to know they won't set the forest on fire. An outsider like me? Not so much."
