"I understand what you're asking, but these are the only places there are. There are small villages scattered here and there, but nothing particularly important." Savranth told Dal'Sheen.

OoC: @Slenn: Long and short of it, I considered having four continents, but for simplicity we scaled it down a bit. Plot and World building were more important than having multiple continents.

"Most of my work has been theories on subatomic particles. I've already developed quite a bit with the nanites. And that's the main thing I've been working on." Geo explained.

"Hmmm..."
He took a breath of cold night air.
"Also, do golems often go rampant or rogue? I ask this because I saw some energy detectors stationed like a grid outside of Fourside. Only one of them was smashed in by some huge blunt force."

As Ness and Echo continued to walk around, they eventually find their way into a restaurant. (or something... I forgot what's in the shopping district of this town.)

[hr]

In other news, a portal opens up near the edge of Holadino. Yukino steps out of it, looking pretty bloody, although she has no cuts on her. She licks a bit of it off as she walks toward the hotel.

Savranth looks around to ensure that no civilians or military people were around. "Oh, sorry. And no. Golems are not known to go rogue. They aren't sentient creatures. They are effectively tools. Xiphatians wouldn't create such creature with minds or souls. There has been a big controversy in the past about raising the dead, and most decided that it was immoral."

[hr]

"Sorry. You're welcome to look around, though. This isn't the most enjoyable place and the Quarry Association doesn't care too much about the employees, but I guess it could be worse." Geo responded.

[hr]

The miner looks far to the mountain in the West. "That? I don't know. Some old ruin. I think some people may have looked in there, but there's nothing worth mentioning."

[hr]

Vanessa and Echo walk into Luc's stop. A female cat beastkin greets them. "Hello. How may I help you?"

Dal'Sheed shrugged and waved his hand, letting him know there was no need for apology.
"It's quite alright. Then is there an indigenous creature around Fourside that would have made a blunt force attack the size of a boulder?"

OoC: @Salty, is there any chance of anything happening to/at/near/around/by/close to Rita at the current rate?

"What do you mean they don't care about the employees?" asked Rita.

"Hey lady, you know where we could- Holy fucking jesus, what the hell happened?" Marcus asked Yukino, walking out of the hotel.

"Not that I know of... That sounds odd." Savranth said.

[hr]

"They're more concerned about profit than anything. People have been getting sick in the quarry recently, but they don't seem to be working too hard to find out why." Geo replied.

[hr]

"Very well. Follow me." The woman leads them to a nearby table, and allows them to sit.
"My name is Felina. I'll serve you today. How can I help you?"

While there wasn't a restaurant in town, there was a small diner at the west of the shopping center called "Luc's Stop". It seemed like a cozy enough place from the outside, with a few beastkin sitting at a table near the window, eating a pie. Further in the shopping district, other noteworthy stores were a barber, two clothes stores, a DIY store, a bar and a store selling decorations.

While Loki wanted to ask further questions, he figured the miner wouldn't have the answers. "I see. That is all I wish to know." Walking towards the exit of Granite Pass, he saw Rita sitting against a fence, talking to Geo not far away and began walking towards her.

"It does. Either one of three things. One is a past surgical strike against Fourside's detectors. But that's unlikely because you would've known about it when I told you. Another is competition or rivalry against the manufacturer, Lucia, who makes the energy detectors. The last is an unorganized strike against the detector."

He shrugged.
"It may be a red herring that leads to nothing. I was walking away from Fourside to get some exercise and I found one smashed."

"Seriously? You've probably opened some poisonous gas pockets in the ground! Aren't there any regulations for that sort of thing?"

"Seems odd. I wonder what would have smashed such a thing? Or what it was detecting?" Savranth wondered.

[hr]

"That's the thing. There is no such thing. And the victims tend to suffer from nausea, vomiting and hair loss among other things." Geo explained.

"Well, they detect energy. Lucia was the person I met in the labs regarding the artifacts. Her division is to work on energy sources and new sources. Her name and logo were on the detectors. She may be looking for an energy resource of some kind."

"What is this I about victims suffering from various ailments?" Loki asked as he approached Rita and Geo.

OoC @Furioso: That would depend.
