Blair just nodded and sat on the ground. "Sure thing, no problem" She said to Noel with a smile, seeing Ness exit she gave her a wave. "Good morning!" She said to her.
Seeing that Rex had acknowledged her, Jessica walked over to where he was. "Hello there! It's nice to see you again. Vanessa mentioned something that made me feel that I just had to speak with you again." She said to Rex after walking up next to him.
Cynane started to ask a question, then immediately realised what he was saying. Wondering how he had noticed signs that she missed she unslung her weapon from her back, which happened to be her Lullaby Spear. She slipped the shield over her arm.

Ness crouches down and scratches Blair under the chin. "Morning, Blair. What's up?"

Rex looked over at Jessica and raised an eyebrow. Leave to Ness to blab about me... "Nice to see ya too, doc. What'd Fedora girl say that made you wanna find a lowlife like me?"

The Rookie approached the bushes, and looked intently on them. Just as he was about to call it a false alarm, a green bolt of plasma flew at him, narrowly missing. He rolled backwards to the side, came up in a crouch and fired a burst, but hit nothing. Then four small creatures with tanks on the back and masks over the face came out of the bushes, two opening fire on the Rookie and the other two on Cynane. A larger being roared behind them, before stepping up.
OoC: Going to give the Rookie a turn at the start of my next post.
Kyosuke and Noel got into a CQC stance as they both ran at each other, locking on each other's hands. Noel tried bend Kyosuke's arm the other way as Kyosuke tried sweeping her legs. They both cancelled each other as Kyosuke flipped forward to Noel's slight hop.
"You're gotten better."
"The next generation will lead. It's time for the old timers to retire."
Furrowing her brow, Noel bent Kyosuke's left arm as she got behind him. "What was that about being old?"
Kyosuke pulled back and attempted to slam the back of his head at Noel as she ducked and Kyosuke turned to take Noel's momentum to the ground as she dragged her foot into the ground as they both backed off.
"Heh. Still got some learning to do then."

Jessica tilted her head to the side slightly as she listened to Rex. "Lowlife? What's that about?" She reflexively asked. "Anyway, she mentioned that you had gone through an event similar to what is happening to this world. I happen to be researching said event, so I was hoping I could get a first-hand account from you as to what it was like the first time you went through something like this."
@Gear: In addition to what Hatchy said, it looks like Rookie, Cynane and Jona are still on the road, getting attacked by aliens.

Walking to the quarry office, Loki knocked on the door three times. For some time, there was no answer, but eventually, grumbling could be heard before the supervisor finally opened the door.
"Oh joy. It's you two again... And here I was, hoping you'd have left."
"I will ask my question to the workers." Loki said to Rita as he walked off. "Have fun."

Cynane yelped and brought up her shield as the Grunts opened fire on her. She stepped back as she did so, but before she could bring her shield up her heel caught on a root and she stumbled before falling backwards. It turned out to be a blessing. The plasma sizzled across her shield and she saw it melt away the plesioth fin where it passed over the rim. Her heart skipped a beat and she scrambled to regain her balance, fully expecting to be gunned down in the open with no cover. Before the Grunts could fire again however, Jona leaped high into the air and landed between her and them. With a snarl on his face he thrust both palms forward and unleashed a powerful wave of Force energy that lifted the aliens off their feet and hurled them back into the trees, which themselves creaed and bent dangerously under the force of the blast. Jona then drew his bonesword and roared a wordless challenge at them.
Ness smiles a bit as Blair purrs. "Heh... It's the same with me. Sometimes it's really nice to have nothing to do." She continues scratching the kitty's chin as she looks over at Noel and Kyosuke practicing. "...Woah, they look pretty good."

Rex shrugs a bit. "I'm kind of a bandit. That's all." As she continued, Rex raises an eyebrow again. "...Uh, not sure what you mean by that, Doc. You mean... portaling to a new world or... what?"

"Yeah I can agree with that" Blair said smiling, Rubbing her head slightly against Ness's hand as she purrs more. She gave a small clap with her paws. "Yeah! that was pretty impressive!" She said to Noel and Kyosuse.
