Blair just laid down on Ness's Shoulder and looked at Dal. "Mew Mew Mew!" She said to him, while purring a little.
Ness puts her hand to her chin for a moment. "No... I don't think they're related all that much." Turning to Noel, she nods solemly. "I see... Interesting. Could you tell me a bit more about this Void?"

Rex gives Felina a smile as she hands him his drink. "Thanks again, miss. Appreciate it."
He takes a quick sip before replying to Jessica. "Well... By standard, I mean it seemed like the most straightforward thing to do. Finding out where the dude was was the only hard part to it, or so I thought it would be. This dude named Edgar happened to come in with this giant ass castle. Just... looked over at a clearing and boom, GIANT CASTLE just sitting there. Since we had some 'high-class' people with us, everyone decided to bunk out in there. Then the Overseers attacked the town and the castle. They took Eve on a carrier. Since she was the only one of our group who knew the world we were in, we had to go after her or we'd be stuck forever. Edgar happened to have an airship of his own that we used to chase after the Overseer carrier. I thought we would have had to run around asking people for hints, but the enemy happened to come to us. It was a lucky break to say the least."

Cynane pulled the Rookie to his feet and gave him the potion bottle, before turning and climbing a tree beside the bank, knowing that she would not be able to climb through the mud.
"Put that on the wounds and follow me!" She shouted. "The kid's still fighting!"
Jona saw what the Zealot was going to do and reached out when he hit the ground. Every grenade still on the Zealot's webbing suddenly primed itself to detonate.

Jona saw what the Zealot was going to do and reached out when he hit the ground. Every grenade still on the Zealot's webbing suddenly primed itself to detonate.
"You what?!" The supervisor exclaimed, sounding rather annoyed at Rita barging into his office, not helped by what she was asking. "First you take up my precious time, now you're asking for a damn droid? Those things aren't toys for you to use, kid."
Jessica's eyes seemed to light up once again at the meal in front of her. "Thank you very much!" She thanked Felina. She dug in and began to eat, doing so as quietly as she could to avoid having the sounds of her eating get picked up on the recording she was making. She nodded and hummed in an acknowledging fashion at Rex when he finished speaking to show him that she was still listening just as intently as she was before.
Blair just smiled, unable to keep up the act she had going. "Nice to meet you Dal! My name is Blair!" She said to Dal with a smile.
"This 'Void'... Without it, Humanity wouldn't have expanded further into the sea of stars. If you need a good metaphor for this, think of a shopping mall going infinitely in all directions on one floor. This Void is all the space between you and different stores. Say you want to go from one side of this mall to the other. What Koltanium, with an electric current, does is provide a scooter, or teleportor from your point to the other. But this form of transportation isn't perfect. You can emerge in a blackhole, or sun... Or even in another universe if the Koltanium acts weirdly and becomes something akin to an elevator."
Noel gulped again as she said. "When we were taken from our homes to be Wardens or Vanguards... We eventually got these strange powers when we were about thirteen or fourteen years old. We originally thought it came from the Koltanium exposure, but really it came from this other plane of existence. We were... unknowingly exposed to artificial holes into the Void. Normal humans are vaporized on the subatomic level, leaving nothing. A strange mutation in our DNA prevents that if barely... Just looking into that... world... It breaks people, makes them insane, or like I said before: Vaporizes them."
"Unknown illnesses that swept through the student body, some students disappearing without a trance, it was all because of those holes."

As the Zealot came down, Jona squirmed to the side, yanking the Zealot's arm to the side a little as it tried to keep up and react to his unpredictable moves in the face of its own impending death. He slid beneath its raised foot just before it slammed down so that he was in an awkward position behind the zealot's knees with its arm trapped between its legs, still clinging to his arm. Its own momentum forward loosened its grip on his arm and he further persuaded it to release its grip by slamming his chitin dagger down point first on its wrist while pulling away with all his strength.
Rex chuckled a bit as he continued. "Yeah... so we're on the airship and something happened with the emo blue-haired dude and some masked dude who stowed away on the ship. They fought and the entire ship exploded. This cowboy dude, Bryan, happened to have a military style ship called the Warhammer that we used to keep going toward the carrier. Once we caught up with it, a battle ensued and we finally commandeered it, saving Eve and finding out about this flying city that the Overseers live in. It was our best bet at finding the dude we were looking for, so we conitnues on. A lot more fights happened, demons from other worlds, a monster made of hats and stuff. We eventually landed and then Yukino joined the group along with another... really short ninja girl and a girl who carried around mech armor, kind of like Noel. "

Blair's ears pricked up. "Really?" She said to Dal in disbelief. "Well, then I'm glad to be the first one you've seen then!" She added with a smile.
The Zealot released its grip with a howl, then exploded in a shower of blood, covering Joan in it. The Rookie hurried over, aiming the pistol up in the air as his left arm hung laxly.

In the end, our bodies are heavily exposed to the Void again, and we... our bodies leave an etching in time. That's less or more why our bodies age slowly, but it... still breaks us." Noel turned to Charlotte, as she continued to grip her head.

"Yeah? Well here's the thing. Dying is a occupational hazzard in this business. The workers all knew what they were getting into the moment they signed their damn contracts. Should some of them bite the dust, that ain't on me. But if those droids get damaged because I lend them out to some random kid, that will definitely be. And I ain't having it. This isn't pretty, but it's how things work when you step out of la-la lollipop land. The sooner you learn that, the better."
