Noel and Kyosuke emerge from the hotel as Kyosuke takes out another cigarette. "That's really bad for your health."

"I know... It's simply one step of hell to the other." Noel shook her head as she walked Ness and Co.

OoC: Sorry, was taking a shower.
@Nail: "I like not getting a monitor thrown at my face."

Rex nods toward Felina. "Sure. Thanks miss."
Turning toward Sav and Dal, he chuckles a bit. "I should hang around optimistic people more, maybe I'll stop thinking the way I do."
Turning to Jessica, Rex stretches the back of the band of his pants and a white devil tail waves out. "I'll take that as a compliment."

Ness looks over at Echo and starts to head over to the diner. "I think everyone else is over at the diner. We might be missing something."

 

[Chungus]

Loki held his left hand under his coat, as if reaching into a pocket, while in reality, he manifested the card out of thin air. Once in his hand, he gave the card to the supervisor.

Felina took the glass, walked back behind the counter and placed Jessica's plate in the sink. Then, retrieved another rootbeer from the refridgerator and poured it form the bottle into the glass, which she then placed back on the coaster before walking back to the counter yet again to prepare the meals of Tao and Dal'Sheed.

 

[Slenn]

"Optimism and pessimism are the two sides of one coin. There's things to be learned from both perspectives."

 

[Furioso]

Rita watched Loki hand the card to the supervisor "I...uh, left my card at home... just give him my cut..."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Might be missing something." Echo said as she followed Ness.

 

[Saltyk]

"I see it more as pragmatic. One can't fight if they see people as mere meat. There's no point. Might as well give up." Savranth replied.

The supervisor took the card from Loki, and got out a spare card for Rita, then transferred 2,500 Credits to each.
"There. Now, get out of my sight."

Noel and Kyosuke followed after Echo and Ness, keeping their silence to the group.

"[sub]Subject is secure?[/sub]"

"[sub]As far as I know... You know how much I don't trust these Conduits.[/sub]"

"[sub]What of the group here?[/sub]"

"[sub]Indifferent.[/sub]"

 

[Drakmorg]

"Plenty. And there's only a handful I'd say I'm related to. And I don't even know who this 'Strange Kaka' is....Why is it you think I'm related to you?" Wait...if she thinks we're related and she still... Jessica replied to Tao, then let out a disgusted sounding sigh.
"Yeah, fine. I probably shouldn't waste my time with the military people here then." She said to Savranth.
Looking at Rex's tail, she could only mutter one thing in response, "Huh."

Rex looks over and shrugs at both Dal and Sav. "I know. Seeing both sides of any argument is important. I guess you're right about the whole meat thing. No fun beating on a meatbag."

In response to Jessica, he calmly drives his tail back into his pants before taking a long swig of root beer.

Ness enters the diner slightly surprised at everyone being there, even more so to see Rex with them. "Looks like we did miss a lot. When'd Rex get here?"

Rex looks over and shrugs. "A while ago. That reminds me. We need to talk after this, Ness."

She nods a bit as she sits down next to the group.

 

[Furioso]

"Hmph, if anything you should be thanking us, we're doing you a favor in the long run." said Rita as she pocketed the card

 

[Chungus]

"You will never have have to see us again." Loki said as he took his credit card and held it under his coat, at which point he made it disappear again. Leaving the office, he waited outside for Rita to follow.

The meals cooked, Felina walked towards the table Dal'Sheed and Tao were sitting at, holding the bowl and plate on the palms her of hands. Reaching the table, she presented their respective orders to Tao and Dal'Sheed, a spoon already in the bowl of stew, and a knife and fork on the brim of Tao's plate.

"Another customer! Geez, you'd think it was bingo night or something" Felina said as she saw Ness enter the diner, chucling slightly. "Can I get you anything?"

Noel looked at the group as they were dining. "... Huh."

"Leave them be, we might as well continue where we left off on training." With a nod, Noel and Kyosuke exited the diner, and walked back to the hotel where they started their own CQC training, being mindful if anybody passing back.

 

[Slenn]

"I've learned it the hard way from working for my city. On the one hand, we're in an exodus, forced from our destroyed homeland. And we use the power of books to take us to worlds to provide resources and materials. We have a lot of great thinkers and inventors that have given us a great wealth of technology that has eased our lives underneath the planet's surface. But on the other hand, our race has forced the native inhabitants, the Bahro, to become slaves. And a lot of the more wealthy, including my parents, are very bigoted towards them. It's something that I'm not very proud of, and so that's why I take my job as a Maintainer with great importance. I'm skeptical about what the other Maintainers think about the worlds we go to."

"Thank you very much." He says to the waitress. "Here's my pay plus tip."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Well, I know lots of Kaka too, and I'm related to all of them. Since we're both Kaka, that must make us related, meow." Tao said, working her hardest to get Jess to believe what she thought was true.

"Thanks lady!" Tao said to Felina as she received her food. She started chowing down on it, ignoring the utensils entirely.

Echo sits near Ness. She started to say some things, but caught herself and simply sighed, hoping no one noticed her slip up.

OOC: Considering all the Kaka's are clones of the same person, I'm going to ahead and say Tao would think they are all related, since they kinda are...even if she does have a "sister"...I'm still wondering if the people who make those games know how cloning works...

 

[Saltyk]

"Yeah, there may not be anyone there that could help... I'm not sure." Savranth said to Jessica.
Looking to Rex, he says. "It's not about 'beating on a meatbag'. It's about seeing actual value in people."
He looks over to Dal'Sheen. "So we're lucky to have you here?"

"I'll keep that in mind, little girl." The supervisor said.
"That can't come too soon."

Ness scratches her head a bit before responding. "I guess I'll have the same thing I had yesterday." She looked down at Echo and caught her trying to say things. "Do you want to eat something, Echo?" She leans closer to whisper in Echo's ear. [small] "What were you trying to say...? Can you give me a hint?" [/small]

 

[Furioso]

With a huff Rita walked out of the building "That scum!" she said, enraged.

 

[Slenn]

"In a sense, yes." He paused as he took a sip of his soup. "The person who gave me the book for this world told me that it would be an example for student writers to see the effects of a civilization on a world and vise versa." Another sip. "The higher class D'ni are hostile towards outsiders. I... don't like them getting in the way of other people just because they think that we're better." His spoon was slightly shaking in his hand. He then laid his hand down on the table as if he was holding a pen against paper, about to write a descriptive book to a world of peace instead of eating beef stew. Somehow it stopped him from shaking.

Rex looks up a bit as what Sav says finally hits him. "OOOOOOOH. Crap... I'm dumb."

He looks over toward Dal as he hears what he says as well. "...Hey, like you said, one guy's enough to help change a large group right? Keep going with what you're doing and your people will eventually stop looking down on outsiders."
