After walking for some time, Rita would return to Fourside. The city was a bit slower than normal, but it never truly slept.

Rex and the others arrived in Port Letosh.

A naval base, and port. Legaian ships enter and leave port from here to the Wild Lands. The entirety of Legaia's sea power is based here. They say Admiral Idula is based here, but she is rarely seen.

"Not unless you know how I can quickly end this war that's about to occur between the Xiphatians and the Legaians." Jessica replied to Sasha. "Because so far, that's the only idea I've got for what might be the cause of the Anomaly. And of course, my only way of testing if that's true or not would be to solve it and see what happens."

 

[Furioso]

Rita returned to the hotel room to sleep and let her remaining wounds heal up. Loki did the same, having been off investigating the other tower that had been damaged. (I hope that's a good explanation)

Meanwhile, the hawk was gone, but now a small spider was sneaking about the school

"I sadly don't... I can safely say no one here would be willing to fight... sparing a few I guess. But knowing my luck, I don't think convincing them otherwise is in my future." She answered Jessica quietly.

 

[Drakmorg]

"Oh don't worry about it. I doubt convincing a few people to not fight would make much of a difference anyhow." Jessica said with a sigh. Turning to fully face Sasha, she said, "I think I might have a way you can help though, if you really want to. Are they teaching you much about Xiphatian history at the moment?"

 

[Zepherus14]

"Eh... no actually..." She confided, scratching the back of her head. "That's probably why I've made as much progress as I have..." She said with a small laugh.

 

[Saltyk]

Finding the hotel, Rex plays for the room for the night (200 Credits) and they all retire.

OOC: I'll be going to bed, then.

"Probably. With this kind of stuff you make the fastest progress with as few other distractions as possible." Jessica agreed, with her own chuckle, which petered out noticeably quickly and ended with a sigh. "Anyway..." She began, wringing her hands together idly. "If you care to help me out, would you mind looking into Xiphatian history for me? Specifically, things regarding their relations with Legaia? There's a number of other things I have to look into, so it would be a great help to me if you could."

 

[Zepherus14]

"I guess I can always try at least..." Sasha shrugged. "Hopefully people are nice enough to tell me... I'm not the fastest reader. This was the first real school I've ever gone to." She said. "But I have you to thank for getting me here, and for that I'm truly grateful." She added quite sincerely.

 

[Drakmorg]

"I guess trying is all I can really ask anyway. But I'd really appreciate it if you could." Jesssica said, smiling a little at Sasha's sincere expression of thanks. She tapped at her forehead with her left hand as she seemed to remember something. "Oh! One other thing! How many beastkin have you seen around the school?"

 

[Zepherus14]

"How many beastkins? Um..." Jessica would see Sasha mumble as she slowly listed off who she knew. "41..? No no I forgot Chet. So that's 42." She concluded. "But it's not that people don't like them, they just aren't here, it's kinda sad." She added.

 

[Drakmorg]

"42? That's more than I was actually expecting...wait, you know them all by name? [sub]I don't even know that many people by name.[/sub]" Jessica replied, muttering the last bit to herself. "Anyway, are any of them feline? If so, are there any with black hair?" She asked. 'it's not that people don't like them'...I bet that's just some bullshit she's been fed.

"Yes..?" She said, not sure why knowing people's names was a bad thing. "Well there is one, but he has brown hair." She answered.

(I'm actually making bull up so... not sure what you're looking for with a feline with black hair.)

@Zeph: Salty mentioned some Legaian family of cat beastkin had to deport a daughter to Xiphatia. Figured it was worth a shot.

"Huh. Well you'll have to introduce me to some of them the next time I can make time to come back." Jessica replied, seeming somewhat impressed by Sasha's prowess at meeting people. Her ears drooped slightly in disappointment upon hearing the answer to her other questions, but she quickly set them back up to try and hide it. "Oh. Ah well, don't worry about it." She let out a yawn and said, "Well, I should probably get back before the people I'm travelling with start to miss me."

@Drak: Ok... I might actually be wrong about that then... Although really I have no idea...

"Sure. I can do that." She smiled, and headed for the door. "Do you need to go back to my room to leave again or not..?" She said, adjusting her cloak. She went to open the door, and a static spark hit her finger, which she answered with a yelp. "Swupid new cwoak..." She sucked on the finger.

"No, I can pretty much leave from anywhere....Though giving it some thought, it would probably be a good idea to leave this room first. I'd rather not see what could go wrong." Jessica said as she glanced around at the runes adorning the floor and wall and their purpose was brought to mind for her. Hearing Sasha yelp as she tried to open door, she walked over and opened it for her. "You alright?" She asked Sasha with concern in her voice.

 

[Zepherus14]

"I'm ok... My new cloak has been shocking me the last few days... I should get a new one." She answered. Walking out the runes stop glowing as Sasha left. "Let's get you back there then." She replied.

 

[Drakmorg]

"You could always just go back to using your old one instead, assuming that one didn't shock you either." Jessica suggested. Once she was out of the training hall, Jessica turned back to Sasha and waved goodbye to her. "I'll try and stop by again after a few days or so. Bye for now!" After she finished speaking Jessica disappeared in a flash of light, and reappeared in her hotel room in Holadino. After letting out another yawn, she went to bed and quickly fell asleep.

OOC: Right, I'm off. G'night!

"Bye." She waved as Jessica left. Sasha then walked to her dorm room. 'I would if I hadn't learned how dangerous fire magic is...' She thought as she headed for bed.
